You're having a graphic card problem. You need nvidia custom settings to your system boot.

You need to explain your issue better. What is your graphic card? What is the error showing? In which part of the installation you get the issue?

My graphics card is the stock Intel graphics card for the dimension 3000. Using nomodeset gets me to the all the way through the process to where it says Android. I do get a error that says unable to find cpu0 node
Oh and to add in all my attempts I've never made it to the splash screen. I either get a a blank black screen (which when this happens i give it around 20 mins to boot) or i get a flashing cursor in the top left of the screen. I also have this hooked to a 32" TV 720p 60hz refresh rate.

I have a notebook with Intel Graphics 3000 and never had to use custom boot parameters. Did you try to boot without it?

The system actually have it installed. The problem arises when going to inicar, android logo nor the remix is not displayed, the screen stays black.
At least in this beta version I could install. In the alpha version it remained static in android x86 ......

Hello.
I can't boot into remix OS, no matter what type of installation or mode(Guest or resident) I use. It always gets stuck at black screen with white "_" in upper left corner.
It's a laptop, Aspire One 725-0899 with an AMD C-60 (I know, pure sh*t) processor. I downloaded x86 version because it's the recommended one for my processor. Currently I'm running Win 7 x64 on it. It's weird why remix os cannot boot. I tried downloading android-x86 and it works, but I'd really like to try out remix os. My bios is legacy, i'm pretty sure.
Android-x86 boots when installed on HDD with a bit of troubleshooting, but Remix OS won't boot into either mode( Guest or Resident) no matter if install it on HDD or 3.0 USB and use a USB 3.0 port. Any ideas?
What do you mean, you can't boot? Do you see the root prompt coming up? Do you see the RemixOS boot animation at all?

Maybe I should note that my write speed is pretty low, somewhere around 11 MB/s. Alright, take this video as an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU6LOBz_XtA
For me, the booting is stuck on 1:19 , on the black screen between 1:18 and 1:20 where the Android-x86 logo shows up. If you watch very carefully from 1:17 to 1:20, you will notice a "_" in upper left corner somewhere at 1:19(maybe a tiny, tiny bit earlier in the video). That's where I'm stuck. What should I do? If android-x86 can boot on my PC, why can't Remix OS?
Hi guys,
Due to having installed some custom AMD driver (hehe ;D) on my acer aspire i thought "well, i think it has sth. to do with my graphic card".
Therefore i changed the graphic card setting under the bios menu (f2 on my laptop) from "switchable" to "discrete" or sth. like that and my problem got fixed .
I hope this helps you/other people, too .

Try adding "nouveau.modeset=0" (without quotes) to the end of the kernel ... line in the menu.lst file inside the RemixOS folder.

Same problem exists
When doing an automatic update from 3.0.205 to 3.0.206 it fails after reboot. The "Remix OS Updater" screen comes up and the progress bar reaches 20%. The message on the screen says:
-1
Update failed with err_code:

I have tried this several times over a few days as I read somewhere that if the update fails you should wait at least 24 hours before trying again. After it errs out, I have to do a hard boot and then it boots back to 3.0.205. (At least it does that.)
Is there another way to complete an upgrade, perhaps manually without wiping out the system and reinstalling? Or maybe there is a corrupted file somewhere that need to be deleted?
Hardware is:
Toshiba Satellite L305 laptop
Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T3200 @ 2.0GHz
32bit Remix installed solo.
same here but with different problem
same stuff happens but when booted with resident mode , it does some checks and gets stuck showing A N D R O I D in cmd mode style
Upgrade in place
So I found that if I create the USB stick and follow the install with the INSTALL=1 DEBUG= options except leave the existing partition alone. Do not reformat the partition. By doing this, it completed the upgrade and I am now on the latest version.
Hi everybody,
I just bought this pc/tablet 2in1 and I try to install android.
So I installed the rom on a new FAT32 partition of 16Go after disabling bootsecure.
After the installation tab restart in the boot selection, when i start remix OS i get this error very quickly :
[ 1.206379] i8042: Can't read while initializing i8042
[ 1.448085] i2c_designware 808622C1:06: punit semaphore timed out, resetting
[ 1.448464] i2c_designware 808622C1:06: PUNIT SEM: 2
[ 1.449372] i2c_designware 808622C1:06: couldn't acquire bus ownership
Then a blackscreen during few seconds and rebooting.
I tryed to plug a usb keyboard but same issue
So I would like to know if Remix OS is compatible with my Asus and how can I fix this.
Android on this device would be perfect if touchscreen is functional,I saw that there is a specific topic for T100 asus model so maybe it's impossible for T102? Idk

I need expert consult...
My Lenovo Vibe k5 was running on AOSP v4.6
I tried to install Vulkan API zip file that is available for some Xiaomi phones... After I flashed it (TWRP) My phone doesn't start anymore. Only the bootlogo showed and phone turned off automatically....
After trying several times I managed to open Recovery(TWRP) mode manually...I wiped out everything and installed the AOSP rom again and it run just fine...
But , the problem is when I go to about phone in setting , the processor section shows 'unknown'... And then I discovered that QFIL doesn't recognise it as a Qualcomm device...
I am kinda worried if the Vulkan API blobs make any disturbance in my stock processor...
And every time I want to roll back to stock ROM..for god's sake it becomes like a 24hr job just to recognise the processor by Qfill... Qualcomm USB Driver fails most of the time..
Anyone got any fix..pls help..
