Hello, everybody!
Guess what? the_laster had make a tool to restore the bootloader.
I found this here
It's a new s1tool. Download here View attachment s1tool.7z
So we can unlock the bootloader ,and restore it anytime we want.
Now we can do everything we want and without worry.
One more thing, after restore the bootloader our customer kernel will not boot,so you have to use the stock kernel.
Cheer!!!
And thanks to all great men here!!!
Edit:
It's useless for you unless you want to relock the bootloader.
After SpyderX add this to his thread,I think this thread should be closed(or deleted).

This doesn't need a HOW-TO thread in Development forum, just plug your phone in in flash mode and click restore...

yeah It's very easy. I'm sorry if I opened a useless thread.
The topic '[how to] restore original bootloader after unlock' is named by the_laster.
I just copy it.
Never mind, good work finding this. I will add it to my thread. Thanks!
why we need to restore the original boot loader ???

It's not because we need. JUST WE CAN!!
Maybe sometimes we want to try SE' fully stock X8.
for warranty maybe
i think , because right now when we need to try rom must flash 1 package kernel and rom.
so if we want to use rom (old rom that there is not 1 package with custom kernel)
we need original kernel to use rom ex : GDX , GC and the others.
the point is we still wait stable custom kernel + rom.
correct me if i'm wrong.
whit this tool ,the x8 unlocked turn into locked phone?
sorry for english
Closed as per OP request.
Hi, i have a japanese phone, ISW11M (AU KDDI) which is locked apparently. I have already sim-unlocked it using some paid service. However, I planning to unlock the bootloader to install some rooted custom ROM..
So my question is, do isw11m(Au kddi) model is supported by photon_torpedo root method? Or do i need to use other method to install custom rom in this phone? Please enlighten me or give me a direction on how to solve this.
Yes, you can install custom ROM on ISW11M. I've already installed CM7 on my ISW11M (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1910837). Do step-by-step --> ROOT --> UNLOCK BOOTLOADER --> CMW --> Install ROM.
But there is one thing you must know, if you break your phone, you can't returm to stock ROM because there is no stock ROM for ISW11M.
Please read carefully all step before you begin. I think when you're on CM7 you won't want to return stock.

I got build number, 4.5.1. I guess it is still not possible to unlock bootloader with this build version. =.=
Take a screen of your phone's About information. My phone is also 4.5.1 too.

Can you send me the link of where can i learn to unlock bootloader?
You don't need to go to an external website- I found the BL unlock instructions in the development subforum for this device and it worked perfectly. Although it slightly worries me that there's no stock ROM for this device- mine is starting to have problems.
That's right!

dude when you open the general section you will find your answers in the sticky threads (beginning threads).
not to sound rude but you're being lazy.

Actually, i know how to root and all that. I just want to know is it safe or not after the update to 5.1 because the bootloader is now updated.

Hi,
I initially installed update 15.1630.1902.90 to my phone and after that it ruined the perspective control of my ROG while using the mobile desktop dock. I tried installing the previous version via sideload but to no avail.
Can anyone share the step by step on how to install stock ROM to our phone? or downgrade from the previous version of the firmware?
Thank you.
Just place the firmware in the Root Directory of your phone & reboot, this is given that your not rooted & have a locked bootloader.

I tried this but nothing happens. My device is not rooted.
Thank you.
I don't think you can downgrade. I would post this on the support forum:
