Display Burn-in protection not workin - Asus ZenWatch 2

Hey guys, got my zenwatch 2 a few days ago, and I was always unsure if the burn-in protection was working so today I decided to make a timelapse video, and it confirmed my suspicion that it is not working. Tried with both pujie and a stock watch face.
I tried forcing it via dev options, but everytime I restart it toggles back to off, any idea how can I fix this?
Just in case i am stupid here are the vids:
https://youtu.be/SLwuTSK6mrg
https://youtu.be/Aw2r7UViwcY

Have the same issue on my zenwatch 2 and pujie black.. any news/fixes?

Zenwatch 2 had burn-in protection feature, but asus disabled it (i forgot the detail, you can google for more info)

Which anti theft app was this?

I remember having an Anti theft App on my Android device. It had red and green buttons, and it was very nice as it had multiple siren triggers like unplug detection, motion, wrong pin, etc. It had its own siren sounds, and you could use your own too. I remember it had a siren sound like the German war starting noise(Its sound was as if someone was winding something and then not winding, then again winding). Can someone PLEASE tell me which app it was?

Knock on feature, anyone?

Hi everyone,
I used LG2 for quiet some times. I found that the knock on feature is very handy. Anyone could found any app that resemble that?
You've posted in the wrong section, but the only one I could find (I only searched for two minutes) was the whole G2 launcher that includes the knock on feature. It looks like it works on most phones, but you're also forced to use the ugliest and worst launcher in the world.
You must be rooted and you can download it here:

So.. Does that mean that the feature is not a low level one? Meaning we can program it on top level?

I just tried that, by pushing apps with right permissions in system/app, but it doesn't work.
I don't know if there's a switch to turn that on or off, but as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't work at all, it's just a simple launcher with no functions at all...

Double tap to wake is a function of the kernel. It has been around long before the G2 in custom kernels (i.e. HTC One with Bulletproof kernel). It is on the Z tablet and a shame Sony did not bring it to the Z Ultra.

I just use Screen Off app from the Playstore. Why should I double tap if I can just single tap it's app icon to make the screen sleep and lock?! To wake it is another thing though. I tested some kernel back then with my SG Note II that do that (touch screen to wake) but it was buggy!
So, it would be if we could find this feature in Google Play (with or without root). I am willing to donate for this feature. Especially the phone is big, would be nice if we can turn on the screen without having to pick up the phone from the table.

There are at least 10 options to turn the screen off, and only half of them require root.
The cool thing to do would be turning the screen ON, or better yet, having the possibility to turn it on and off with two taps on the screen.
If you ever try an LG G2 you will know why that would be cool.
I personally use GMD gesture and turn the screen off pinching three fingers, that's really showing off with all my colleagues and friends...

Well after using this device, a double tap gesture is not that required and maybe introducing additional issue considering its size and weight distribution in the hand. Plus with the flip case it comes with, turn off and on based on proximity sensor is the more elegant way to run this beast. I made my self a tasker script for that and i love it all the more

You know, I really don't seem to get the grip of Tasker. I install it once in a while, try something, nothing ever works, I give up and uninstall it.
I would really like a full guide on this neat program.
I bet you could even make a task for waking up/putting to sleep the phone by a tap on the SmartWatch 2 (a user made a Tasker extension for it here on XDA)...

Well you don't have to use tasker, plenty of alternative method to do proximity on/off.. but well i might write a simple tutorial for tasker if i have time.

Just search for "wave2wake" in the PlayStore app...
Works for me, but it's way too sensitive. And sometimes it just won't notice when I wave.
I say it definitely needs more development, but seeing that since I installed it (yesterday) it already received an update, I also say we're in good hands.

Thanks for this. Tried it and it works. But I went for Every Cover as I'm using a flip cover and it'll be good to make the screen on/off when i close/open it.

Photos automatically resizing after taking a camera shot

Hello,
I have this annoying issue that when I take a shot with the stock camera app, the photos are automatically resizing. The issue happens not all the time, so I don't think it's a setting issue. I've attached a example of how it looks like.

Yes, I also installed "20MP Superiorauto".

I have the same issue on mine! It works fine at 20MP on superior auto but doesn't work well with 15mp and just squishes the picture!

I suspect you've answered your own question, try uninstalling 20MP superior auto. If that fixes it try asking the devs of the application what is going on, if not post again here.
In general if you have an issue I'd always suggest disabling / uninstalling any apps that could be affecting it, in this case leave just the stock camera app, and then enabling mods one by one until you identify the rogue app.

[Q] Looking for a good screen unlock app

I own a rooted C6802 with unlocked bootloader.
I am looking for a screen unlocker app in which screen can be unlocked without using the power or volume buttons.
I tried a few apps which use proximity sensor or mic ..... but they fail to unlock the screen. They lock the screen alright though!
Any one know of such app?
Hi, I've been using Gravity Screen, and it works pretty well using either motion, proximity sensor, or both. Play Store link at

Hello musebox,
Are you still using this with success?
I have been testing it for a couple weeks now, and have noticed it uses much battery.
Are you having similar experience?
Would you mind sharing your configuration?

I had the same experience a while ago. It drains the battery as the sensor is on all the time
Thanks for the reply SÜPERUSER.
This app would be much useful if it used less battery! It’s the only on screen app that is working with my Xperia Z Ultra.
Hi, I didn't notice either way at the time, so I don't think much battery was used. However, I've been using my nexus 6 more often lately.

I think its a screen burn issue... Search for it to find solution. You can try some apps which filter blue light.
It is hardware issue or software

flash stock KDZ and wipe data. if issue is still there it sounds like hardware. you'd have to exchange or return your phone. or replace the screen yourself.
I will try that
