I remember having an Anti theft App on my Android device. It had red and green buttons, and it was very nice as it had multiple siren triggers like unplug detection, motion, wrong pin, etc. It had its own siren sounds, and you could use your own too. I remember it had a siren sound like the German war starting noise(Its sound was as if someone was winding something and then not winding, then again winding). Can someone PLEASE tell me which app it was?

I had an app on iOS that whenever a call came in, it didn't take up the whole screen. It only showed up on top, similar to the iOS 5 notifications. There are times I don't feel like answering a call when using my phone and I don't want to reject it because then they would know. Is there an app that can stop incoming calls from using the whole screen on android?

No one has anything?

The only thing I can think of is a stock feature on CM7. It only gives you a status bar notification that you have an incoming call. I'm not sure if there are apps for that, but I'd imagine not.
I'm trying to stay away from CM7. I'm on UnNamed. How has a dev still not put something like this together?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
It involves modding the framework. CM7 has a modded framework, that's why it has it.
It isn't easy to implement and requires actual coding, not something normal ROM developers can do.

inorite? Lazy ass devs should be fired.
Perhaps you should try to produce something of your own instead of expecting others to do it for you. Or maybe try searching here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=530

Just questioning why the idea hasn't been thrown about before. I can't code or else I wouldn't be making a post like this. Maybe you should stop being a smart ass.

Small Call (basically Call Bar) for Android
...not sure how many of you are still searching, but Small Call PRO is basically CallBar for Android...except you don't have to jailbreak.
Small Call much like CallBar

Yes, there is an app on the Google Play store called Small Call. Its does the same thing CallBar does but for Android and it works pretty well. I downloaded it on my S3 and its the app on my phone I use the most.
Small call is OK. I have had issues with it. Also I don't think it has a quick call feature like callbar does
I am using Ace of a year now. And I still cant understand that Samsung guys gave proximity sensor just to make screen go off when you are in a call. As proximity Sensor wont work for other uses (like snoozing alarm or silent an incoming call etc.)
Can those things work for my ace? is there any tweak or something that will make it work?
your help will be appreciated.. ty
its for diming screen

SURE it's an app called TASKER, in tasker you can do anything !!! the problem is you need to know how to use it.... but... search for a tut......mmm basicly the app is:
IF->ACTION
FOR EXAMPLE you can use the sensor for silent a call when you face down the phone (yes, like sense )

Is it happening in all games or just some. If it's just some then it's just poor programming on the developers part

So far it happens in all the games I tried: Tempel run, asphalt6, all versions of angry birds, chees master, 3d pool,
On my sg s2 i never have this problem. Anybody else having the same problem?? And anybody know a setting that can solve it???
Now I tried several games with the "Smart Stay" turnes on, and it is not working 100%, it is very anoying that the screen turn off!!!!!!
Anybody have the same problem???
While I'm really enjoying my S3 so far. Smart Stay is almost a complete fail.. I've made sure it's activated, and is there anything I'm missing? I'm constantly having to reactivate my screen when I'm reading articles etc..
I'm confident this can be fixed either officially or unofficially, but something has to be done.
Anyone else having trouble?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Smart stay should work if the front cam is able to see your face.
You can check this by opening the camera and choose the front cam.
Now make sure your face is near the middle of the screen.
For me I've to move the bottom away from me and the top closer to me so the cam can see me. It takes a bit training to hold the phone like that but it works (for me).
I find totally ridiculous if you have to hold the phone in a certain angel for the screen not to turn off during games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am happy with my S III, but the problem with the screen turning off is fatal.......I hope somehow there will be a fix for this very soon.

If you read my post, you would have noticed, that the problem actually is that the screen is turning off during games without the smart stay turned on. When I turn on smart stay, the screen still turns off sometimes, as the smart stay is not working correct!! (smart stay not working for me in low light, and you need to hold the phone in a certain angel, witch is not possible when you play games and move the phone around)
Other people have this problem........???????????????

Lol in the relevant system/media folder and see if you have any additional files for unlock screen, another Rom might have dumped a new sound file and it needs removing?

I'm experiencing the same issue. It is intermittent, but generally if restart my phone it goes away for a while. I am unsure as to what triggers the sound to start again. The only way I can stop it is to turn off notification sounds altogether (or turn the volume down to mute), but this is not practical. I have tried to find the audio file to delete it, but no luck. Happy to record the sound if somebody tells me how!

guys
Take your accessory case off and i bet the noise goes away...
it is NFC ... near field communication... the phone is picking up your case and thinks its another device, it can be turned off in settings
took me ages to figure it out too

Cheers! I'll give disabling NFC a go (since I never use it but do need a protective case on account of having a habit of dropping my previous phone). I'll let you know how I go!

And is there any way to separate them? Very annoying when listening to music to get notifications for emails.

They are doing it for usability reasons. Essentially notifications and ringtones serve the same purpose, and there are very few use cases when those need to be different.

They really don't though. At the moment I'm talking about music and it's annoyance of being interrupted by an email every 5 minutes. I'll work out something with tasker anyway.
However what about wanting phone calls at night but not emails. At 2am someone calls i want to hear it. I don't want to hear my email.
Apple is getting praise for finally separating the 2 and Google goes the other way. Very silly
