Hey guys,
I've got the S6 Edge and have recently noticed that occasionally a screen pops up indicating the charge status on the lock screen when I'm charging my phone. On the screen, it has a round and green charge meter. Under that it says which type of charge it currently is doing: speed, continuous, or trickle. Then there seems to be a big ad for installing Samung +. I had previously never seen it before. To my knowledge, I've never changed settings that would enable it. I'm currently trying to disable it, but I don't see the option to do so. Could it be associated with a specific app? Any help would be greatly appreciated! (I've got two screenshots of the indicator I'm talking about, but the system won't allow me to attach them until I have 10 posts.)
(I apologize if this topic has already been covered. I tried using the search function and was presented with mostly Quick Charge issues. If so, send me to that thread and I'll delete this one.)

My wife's phone (Moto G 2015) is having the same issue. No idea what it is and we've uninstalled a ton of aps already.
This started happening to me today and I've figured out from another forum that it's because I had a Go app installed. I had Go Weather installed which I've used for years because I like the widget. Unfortunately it gives no indication that it will alter the lock screen and there's no option to turn it off which I find unacceptable so I've had to uninstall it now.

Has anyone got Samsung dive to work for the new S3?
I have set up the account etc but when I use the website to track my phone or call it etc nothing happens.
I am on the O2 network in London. Any help would be much appreciated.
I set mine up yesterday and it setup fine and all, but when I went to track it...it did indeed track the phone, but it said my phone as at my home address when I was sitting in McDonald's. So...not sure why it did that but that is far from accurate!!
Calling and locating it worked from me with the original firmware. After installing Omega I tried again and it still works.
I cant get it working. I go through the motions as per below:

...but remote controls stays "off".
Anyone who has managed to get this set up, at what point does that setting for on/off at the top become available please?

Probably silly question but have you slid the toggle to "ON" - I had that first time as well. Every time you slide the toggle over you have to re-enter your password again.
your 3G enable ?
I eventually got it to slide after various combinations of removing and re-adding the samsung account and ticking / unticking the location tick box

Hi, today I noticed this icon in my notification bar, and I really can't find what it is. Anybody knows??

it's what usually appears when the notification bar has run out of space to display anymore stuff....but not in your case it seems! Try clearing any notifications if you have any, otherwise try a reboot
No no this icon actually means that notifications are turned off, turn notifications back on and it wll go away.
Assuming you are running a slightly older firmware too as this icon changed to something that makes more sense a few revisions ago.
Again? This kind of thread pops up EVERY other day and I have answered just about everyone.
Your notifications are off. Turn them on.
Can we get a big sticky thread that says, "IF YOU HAVE THIS ICON IN YOUR NOTIFICATION BAR, LOOK HERE!!". ???
baldi - funny you say that - I honestly thought I'd somehow clicked onto a post from several weeks back as I have answered a couple of these myself

Ooops, my bad, forgot that it had changed! I vaguely remember now lol
Hello. I have a Moto G4 Plus, still under warranty.
One evening, I go out with some friends, my phone is working normally.
In a bar I pull out my phone and try to look for an image on google, the phone starts to display some odd behaviour (the show all open apps screen kind of half fills the display with the browser filling the other half). I figure I'll forget about it and check later, I press power and put my phone in my pocket.
I wake up the next morning to a phone that won't boot, and this screen:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I try to put it into recovery mode, I get this screen:
Now I know that it says software status is 'Modified', but I swear, I have never modified this or any phone I have owned. I literally went out with friends one night with a working phone and returned with it in this state. I have tried going through official channels (Amazon won't replace it as they say the guarantee is with the manufacturer), it was sent to Motorola for repair but they refuse to repair it unless I pay 130 Euros, because they state it has been modified. I refused to pay that, and weeks of arguing with them that I have done nothing wrong went nowhere, so the brick has been returned to me.
I am trying to fix it myself, but it's proving very frustrating. Windows can't see the phone, despite me having installed Motorola Device Manager (which does see the backup Moto G3 I'm currently using, so that program is working correctly).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Try fastboot oem unlock command

Since 27/3/18 (2 days ago) I think some virus has infected my phone. My phone is not rooted.
Every time I lock the phone it comes up with, per exempleur, the attached:-

. Also things like the (see the left-hand side) are popping up all the time. I am going out of my mind!!
I've tried all advice I can see online. I've installed Anti-Adware; Zemana Anti-Virus; MalwareBytes; CCleaner. I've deleted one or two questionable apps (not that they were added in the last two days or anything...). I've also followed the various guides about turning off ad-personalisations and opting out of ads etc through Google settings etc, though they keeps coming up.
What can I do save for factory resetting the entire device? How did this happen?
Interestingly, don't know if it's relevant, though a couple of nights ago (immediately before all this started) I was woken up at 2am by my phone making a horrendous noise. I couldn't turn the noise off I couldn't turn the phone on or off. I had to hold the three buttons and do a hard reboot. It felt like some kind of thing had taken over and I had no control of it. Now it's the same in a way... I think they might be linked.
HELP!!
Back up your data , do factory reset , unistall all app what you don't need if the problem is still there , then the problem is in your firmware .
Hye guys.. Im here to ask anyone who can help to solve my problem.. :crying:
Is there anyone know how to fix this screen problem?
Please help me

Have you got DC dimming on, if so try turning it off.
That definitely doesn't look like what dc dimming would do, and in fact, it looks like a software issue, since the status bar is completely fine. It looks to me that some screen filtering app is effecting the screen's contrast. It might be misbehaving (doesn't turn off when it's supposed to), or installed and set up by another person other than the OP. Try finding in app drawer/home screen apps with titles including "blue light filter" "night" or "dimmer," then uninstall it (we already got that night mode toggle in our device settings, which is 1000 times better than these apps that screw up contrast, so we definitely won't need any kind of blue light filter app).
Try booting in safe mode and see if the issue persist:
- Shutdown your device
- Boot it by holding the power button and the volume up button
This should disable all filtering services etc. that could change the screen colour. If it doesn't fix the issue, a factory reset would be a good choice. If that doesn't help, it probably is a hardware defect.
