Sorry, just noticed I posted in wrong place. Can admin move this to the correct one?
i want to upgrade my TF201 to unofficial rom from official rom.
I follow the instruction flash TWRP in fastboot mode.
This is the wired thing, in device manager, 'ASUS fastboot interface' was shown. In device & printer, it shown as 'fastboot' under unspecified category.
In CMD windows, it can return the serial number within the first 10 seconds (roughly) after Computer turned on(Yes, the PC, not tablet).
after a very short time, fastboot devices returns nothing, flash command returns 'waiting for any devices'.
I'm using 64bits windows 10. I tried both usb 3.0 and 2.0, same issue.
BTW, for people who encountered 'device not recognize' issue, pleas disconnect the keyboard.

Hello,
I'm (finally) trying to root my Rezound, but I'm unable to get the identifier token to get the bootloader unlock code from HTC. fastboot oem get_identifier_token gets stuck at < waiting for device >. I've ensured that:
USB Debugging is on.
USB connection type is "Charge Only".
The Fastboot option is Disabled in the phone's Settings.
HTC Sync is disabled.
There's only one copy of abd.exe and fastboot.exe (in C:\Android).
I'm running Windows 8.1, but I managed to find drivers that (apparently) worked online. When I connect the phone when it's NOT in Fastboot mode, it appears as "My HTC" under Android USB Devices. When connecting in Fastboot mode, it's in the same place, but there's a yellow exclamation with an error:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed."
Additionally, a notification appears in the System Tray when connecting in Fastboot mode regarding the USB device malfunctioning.
It seems like I'm all set when outside Fastboot mode; the device has no errors in Device Manager and is visible when I run abd devices. It does not appear when I run fastboot devices in Fastboot Mode.
Any tips?
There are no working Windows 8 drivers for the Rezound in Fastboot... Sorry, you need Linux or Windows XP/Vista/7, wish I had a better answer for you.

Ah, I was afraid of that! Well, thanks for the quick response. I'll go dig up that Linux machine I have somewhere around here
Downloaded and installed ADB. Following tutorial here:
https://www.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p-bootloop-fix/
Specifically:
- Connect your smartphone or tablet to your computer with a USB cable. Change the USB mode to “file transfer (MTP)” mode. Some OEMs may or may not require this, but it’s best to just leave it in this mode for general compatibility.
- In the Command Prompt window, enter the following command to launch the ADB daemon: adb devices
- On your phone’s screen, you should see a prompt to allow or deny USB Debugging access. Naturally, you will want to grant USB Debugging access when prompted (and tap the always allow check box if you never want to see that prompt again).install adb
- Finally, re-enter the command from step #6. If everything was successful, you should now see your device’s serial number in the command prompt. Yay! You can now run any ADB command on your device! Now go forth and start modding your phone by following our extensive list of tutorials!

I did all the above. But don't see anything from:
C:\ADB>fastboot devices
C:\ADB>fastboot flash boot 6p48C.img
< waiting for any device >
Nexus 6P was plugged into the USB cable on Win10 machine. Am in MTP mode. Most recent Google USB drivers installed.
I have done OEM Unlock in setup|Developer options. I have also turned on USB debugging in same options.
I am [obviously] lost. Anyone know what else I might try?
OK, I have made a little progress messing around on my own. It seems that running from the CMD line in Win 10, ADB command works but Fastboot does not. WHY? Bith are in the same directory.
If I type Fastboot by itself, then I get a list of the associated parameters, which means that the CMD system DOES recognize the Fastboot command.
Now, if I run CMD====> "ADB devices", it looks like my device is recognized and attached (that is my serial# below).
But if I try CMD=====> "Fastboot devices", as the instructions require, I get nothing. And if I try to run the flash job via Fastboot, that does not work either.

Wondering if I need to install the Android SDK on Windows for this process to work?
I Think You need to Redo The process from Step One.
I Heard about This and Never Did An OTA.
If it Persists Try Using A Different PC and If After That It doesn't work Then Yes Android SDK is The last Option.

Solved. I needed to add the ADB install directory to the environmental path. Don't quite understand why, but doing so allowed me to get the problem fixed.
Hi everyone.
I apologize if this was already asked.
I own a Symphony H50. I am trying to install windows via change my software but it shows device too slow or protected by manufacturer.
So googled it and found that i need to unlock my boot loader.
So I installed adb, fastboot, drivers including bootloader interface driver. And booted into fastboot mode. And typed "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" and the command prompt shows 3 dots (...) And the cursor keeps flashing. And no confirmation message shows up on my phone.
It only shows "FASTBOOT mode".
Another thing i found out while installing adb drivers that it listed my phone manufacturer as HTC.
So is the problem with my phone?
And how do i fix it?
It may be a problem with driver, uninstall the previous one and install Koush universal adb driver from kaushikdatta.com
Use the link given below for a thorough tutorial to replace drivers.

Thanks for reply,
I'll try the drivers.
Though my adb drivers are working fine. My issue is with fastboot.
When i boot into fastboot mode it shows "FASTBOOT mode" on a black screen.
But i would try with the
That black screen with fastboot mode written at the bottom comes up on every phone when you boot into bootloader.
Please read the whole guide before proceeding.
You may skip the driver and adb installation part if u have already taken the measures I stated before.
Try this,
Download adb and Koush Universal adb driver and install them on ur pc, always install the driver first and don't install the drivers adb setup asks u to install.
Run command prompt as administrator.
Open the folder in c drive where adb is installed, u can use file explorer for this.
Press Shift+right click and select open command window here.
Enable USB debugging on your phone and connect it to the pc by a USB cord.
Enter command "adb devices" without quotation marks.
If it shows some device connected, only then proceed further.
Enter command " adb reboot bootloader"
Enter command " fastboot devices", if it shows some device to be connected, only then proceed further.
Enter command " fastboot oem unlock".
Ur phone may then ask for final confirmation on the phone screen, select yes.
When procedure completes, type "fastboot reboot" and ur phone will reboot.
U can now use Kingoroot or any other tool for rooting.
I have literally tried everything. Sony's website does NOT have driver for the XA2!!! What gives?
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader through flashtool but I keep getting this message "Device connected in flash mode but driver is too old".
I also tried the 15 Seconds ADB Installer thing, no luck.
I also tried following Sony's guide but get stuck at the bold part:
Turn off your device.
Connect a USB-cable to your computer.
On your device, press the Fastboot key (Volume up for most devices, see Useful key combinations) at the same time as you connect the other end of the USB-cable.
Windows users: When asked for a driver, open the Devices and Printers directory, click on the fastboot driver and press Update. Browse and point towards the location of the new android_winbus.inf file.
When your device is connected, open a command window on your computer and go to the platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder.
Enter the following command:
fastboot devices
Verify that you get an answer back without any errors.
I don't have the option to open a CMD, but only powershell, and powershell doesn't let me run the "fastboot devices" command properly. Keeps trying to open an application.
What else can I do? I found some driver online and tried to install it through "legacy" mode in device manager but I keep getting some kind of error.
Can someone please help me out? I really want to root this thing
Thanks!
Anyone?
Wow! I came here looking for an answer to the same question and nothing but crickets? Sony does not list a driver for this device and I find it odd. Does it use the XA driver? You would think they would be listed together if it did. Nobody has an answer on this?
I found out you use the XZ2 driver. Worked for me.
Y cant i get fastboot drivers to read in Windows 10. I have updated the software to the latest update. Developer options are turned on. USB configuration is set to file transfer. In a regular state Windows 10 readds the phone and I can access the contents of the phone. I opened a power shell (regular and as admin) I typed "adb devices" it reads. (I have enabled advanced reboot.) I use the command "adb reboot-bootloader" in boots to fastboot. Now it loses connection. I Open the Run dialog box by pressing Windows Key+R. Type “devmgmt.msc” besides Android is a yellow triangle, then click Update Driver.A new window will pop up. Select the ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ option. I copied the drivers from the OnePlus 5 folder. Try to install but nothing. This is where in stuck. Please help. Thanks
