..well hello guys.. i am having a tough time with my galaxy s2.. i am a rom freak .. so i pretty much keep trying roms out... a month and a half back.. my phone started showing songs thrice .. so i reflashed the rom and used kernel cleaners etc.. and the problem disappeared .. but after a few days it came back.. this has been happening even though i have flashed several different roms.. and i always full wipe before flashing... any suggestions..
I think that you need to format your sdcard.. backup the content of it(music, photos, videos, apks) to your pc... Then flash with a full wipe the rom (I suggest ParanoidAndroid) and then format your sdcard with the phone (settings-memory)..

Try delete data of Google media server (setting - app - all) then reboot and let's rest the phone to scan again... I think is a rom aokp bug... sorry for bad english

What music player do you use? I had the same problem and I had to point the music player where the songs where stored as they had been duplicated on my internal SD card. Make sure it is just accessing your music from one directory.
If you use a stock music player, perhaps a data wipe is in place.
Or as suggested, back up your music and any other important files and wipe your SD card or search it till you find the duplicate files.

No formatting memory don't resolve, try my method... clear data of Google media server in app... and reboot...

yep.. i store all my music in external sd.. i know... strange problems.. also my screen goes all orange colored sometimes.. with almost most of the roms.. no idea .. what happened.. keep getting bugs which are strange and unheard of..
Change rom & kernel xD btw this problem is "fixed" by clear data of media server & Google framework service but I have fixed this bug only with the first clear data...

Lol.
Settings > Storage > Unmount SD card > Mount SD card.
Fixed it for me.
Hey everyone,
I installed note 2 port of 4.4.2 for our s3
But since then any app that write to sd card can't be installed..
I know there are changes done by Google with kit kat
And I have tried to fix this by applying the sd fix apps from play store but still many third party apps can't be installed ..It just says app not installed..
For example subway surfers is not getting installed..
Any work around for this..
Thankyou
simply back up your sd and do a sd wipe through recovery.. I have had the same problem when I installed CM 11 and I fixed in that way..

Hello, is it possibel to set the external SD card as a Storage Volume, so that the Apps will be install on it and documents will be save on it automatically??
Best regards,
Christian

technically you could, as google stated that marshmellow supports storage cards, but lg removed it from their rom. if you have a nexusP you should be able to use that feature
Some apps can be moved to the SD card. It is a mater of going into the setup /Apps of each program and seeing.

On my samsung card I was actually prompted if I wanted to use it as a storage partition or an program/app partition. This was on a fresh install though I didn't get this prompt with my new card (the other one failed).
Even without that prompt you can get apps moved to the sdcard by going to:
- app info screen (where you can force close an app)
- press the storage entry
- press change under storage used
- select your external card

Hello everybody
I have a S4 mini that works perfectly with CM11 and has the perfect size for me, so I hope not to change it for many years The only problem is that internal storage is quite tight, so my hope is to move or link the internal sdcard (/mnt/shell/emulated/0 or the entire location /mnt/shell/emulated) to the 2nd partition of my 64GB external sdcard. In the past, I made a init.d script for my previous phone (which had KK) that moves the files in the internal sd on a tmp folder, mounts the 2nd partition on the internal sd path and then moves the files back (the moving files thing, only to keep the files still eventually present on the internal folder inserad of the 2nd partition), but on the S4mini I cannot have it working again because of some problem in using the internal sdcard as a mountpoint. I already tried to change the permissions on that folders into the script and to execute the commands as different user in the script but nothing.
Someone could please help me or pint me to the right direction to link/mount/somethingelse the 2nd partition as internal sdcard? If possible I prefer a init.d script or a mountpoint change instead of an app because of the zero manteinance and the fact that preferably I don't want to rely on an app.
Thank you

Sorry, I asked because I thought it could be understood from the first message.
I will use it for using the 2nd partition of my uSD card instead of the internal emulated sdcard. In this way I could use all the internal memory for the apps and the data will be saved on the larger 2nd sdcard partition.

Up... In this holydays I've time to test something... Could someone please help me?
Hi. I'm on a Note 10.1 2014. Actually I'm using LineageOS but sometimes I miss some TW features.
I would like to know if there is a way to enable, like in MM and N, the possibility to assign the external SD as internal archive to expand internal memory.
I already tried App2SD app, but I bricked one SD (it still works, but can't be set as expansion anymore) so I don't want to use it.
It there a code via ADB or terminal that can enable that feature?

No but you also have to remember that many oem are removing the feature from their devices. Also once it is converted to be used you can't pull it out anymore without wiping your device.

Thank you. I know it can't be removed, but for someone with a good tablet with "only" 16gb of internal memory it is a good feature, especially if we use the tablet for gaming.
