Anyone else notice that the front camera pictures are mirrored? I noticed when taking a picture of some text using the front camera. The words backwards like looking into a mirror.
Not a bug. There is an option in the settings for this. Just turn it off.

Pre-Flash Camera for a great for the camera to focus on Dark Photos being taken or it would be nice or an option to turn the LED light on while in camera mode. Thanks Jon
When you take a picture in a dark area where hardly any light is exposed and you know it will be out of focus then you press the shutter button, a light appears lighting up the area and the camera then focuses and after that takes the shot.
TAG pre flash, focus light, led light focus
The IPhone has this. Why can't the Amaze have it too since it was compared to the IPhone for taking photos and it coming above the iphone.

Doesn't it already do this? At least it does on the stock ICS rom, i think.
I just turn on the flashlight then go into camera. Works like a charm!

That's what I end up doing. Hassle that you have to quit camera mode if you forgot to turn it on.

Oh it must be an ICS rom feature. I'm still on a Gingerbread Rom and don't have the flashlight in the quick settings.

I ain't letting this go.
I hear about this for the Sam. S3 and lacking for HTC EVO also
CM10 Fixed this?
Can I use a different app that does this?
bumping the message so the word can get out as this phone can get better.
Bring me focus flash for dark picture taking.
My camera really seems to be worse than the S3 so I am starting to think I don't have the settings tweaked. Should I be at the 13 Megapixel setting or 9? Also the pictures are good with flash but the ones without them are worse than my S3 in similar lighting by far!
13mp is a 4:3 aspect ratio, while 9mp is 16:9. I personally prefer 4:3 for photos so I use 13mp.

I agree. I have been disappointed in the camera when compared to my S3. The camera feels slower and I have more blurry pics than I did with my S3.

Try the anti-shake setting. That helped

Yeah, the anti-shake setting does seem to help, but taking pictures in a dim environment (inside my house) without the flash is difficult. Also, for indoor pictures, I've noticed that the actual picture taken looks darker than what is seen on the screen at the time of taking the picture.

It doesn't take a really good picture low light. I usually have flash on auto. and also set my phone to dynamic.

So, your phone doesn't show a darker picture in the Gallery than what's actually on the screen when the shutter closes? And my screen is set to Standard...does that matter?

Yeah, auto-flash and anti-shake seems to be the way to go for dim environments.

Thanks for this fellas. I've not had a chance to use mine inside yet and this is great information to have. Although I do mostly take outside pictures I'm sure the time will come.

With it set on dynamic it makes it brighter on the phone overall. Of course the phone isn't going to be able to take really great low-light pictures but it makes your screen brighter with more vibrant colors.

Hello,
I'm just asking something about taking pictures underwater. As far as I know, there are so many review about "video recording" not taking pictures under water using ur Z2.
So, maybe some of you already trying to take a pictures under water, as far as I know, you can take a Pictures if it on timer (i try it but no working) because it's not working when in the water. And another option is using smile detection, but it's not really effective i think,
The last thing i know is using camera button near the volume buttons, it's ok to using it under water ? Will the water coming in to the phones when i pressed it ? anybody have the experienced for this ?? thanks.
its IP58 Certifies meaning that with this phone you can almost do anything underwater exept open the flaps
underwater the screen doesent respont but you can use the camera button

Best way I've found is open the app, and either start the video then submerge the phone and video, or use the camera button to snap away.
I've found it only works when fully submerged. If only half the phone is under then the water presses buttons, however when it's fully under its fine. Must be that the water is acting as your fingers so when only half or part submerged it just presses there, however when it's completely under it doesn't quite know where to press, so it doesn't. If that makes any sense haha. My advice. Fully submerge and either start recording before, or for pictures, use the shutter button on the side
Attached is a quick one I just took

In small apps there is a touch block floating app. I'm pretty sure it's there so you can take underwater pictures without the screen going mental.

What's that? Is it a setting or an app you download?

Press the multitasking button, then the small grey arrow in the bottom left corner. There should be an icon called touch block right there. It's preinstalled on the phone.

I found that focusing on something out of the water then taking a picture underwater works best. But that's just me.

It just blocks the screen. Shutter button still works.

Absolutely. I've done it loads. Only way to take pics underwater. Personally I think that's the main reason why it's there

You can try "Underwater Camera (Waterproof Camcorder)" , use the "VOLMUE UP / VOLMUE DOWN" button to start and stop the camera, and turn off the auto focus, focus on infinity.
