I have a verizon s4 i545 on android 5.0.1 OC1.I rooted it and then tried to install cwm recovery in order to install custom roms.But after the recovery proccess didn't go well and after reboot i am stuck on Software update failed message.I tried to install stock rom 5.0.1 oc1 via odin but at the end of flashing it was always fails.I tried to find verizon software assistant but nowhere.One version i found wasn't installing on my computer.What can i do in order to bring my phone back to life?Thanks!

Well, i'm new in this android/root stuff, but to have something to begin with:
I tried rooting my device(i9505) in 4.3(using that "knox-untouching" way) and, it not only didn't worked (can't use SuperSU), it also installed a custom recovery on my device (triggering everything it could) and know i can't OTA.
So I was thinking, can I just download the OTA and install it over ODIN, then wipe data? Or i have to download 4.3, flash it over, wipe, and than install 4.4.2? (For the record, i can't find my 4.3 ZTO version. Even in sam mobile)
I have a SGH-i527 that got the 4.4.2 OTA update last night. I'm not sure what I did, but I think I tried to flash the 4.2.2 via Odin when I was encountering problems with Kit Kat. Now when trying to boot, I am stuck on the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." screen.
I have tried to get Kies to go through emergency recovery but the phone never shows up there. And obviously, trying the flash the 4.2.2 firmware in odin will not work. So I am stuck. Any thoughts?
If you did flash the JB ROM after the KitKat update, you will have to flash the KitKat firmware since you cannot downgrade the bootloader and you have probably voided the warranty. Flash the KitKat update for the specific model and DO NOT try to root, flash custom recovery or downgrade to Jellybean since it will trip the Knox boot loader and you will have a brick. To my understanding, there is not a KK stock rom that I can flash (at least for the i527). And since I can't flash back to 4.2.2, it looks like I'm stuck.
Why flashing 4.2.2 by Odin did not change your situation? Maybe try to flash another ROM?
I have a i545 that used towel root on and have tried everything too get a rom on it but to no avail.It takes the rom and on reboot it has the the yellow Verizon not authorized warning used a recovery tar.md5 and unbricked in Odin, What in the world am I doing wrong this has happened 3x my build is 4.4.2 @ NC5 Thanks
try safestrap 3.72 the one for kitkat. install roms on stock side only. you cant use anything for recovery except for safestrap because of our locked bootloader.
Is is possible to root my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 without using a computer? Towelroot doesn't work on it and I tried kingoroot and it work but as soon as I restarted my phone I ran into the locked bootloader issue and was disabled from doing anything in my phone until I had someone flash a stock firmware version onto my phone.
You may have to Odin back to stock firmware first. Then you will need to follow the directions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272066 . The stock Verizon kernels will do that when you root your phone.
After you follow the steps in the video you will be fine. Also I do not remember if this install trwp recovery. I will tell you every 4.2 /4.4 and 5.x.x rom I flashed would either not flash and error our or would not boot will on that recovery. Install a Clockwork Mod recovery and you will be fine.

i need your help as i have tried to flash custom rom via flashfire method and i hear the boot sound and there is no picture after an hour (just black screen)
i have tried to flash via NC5flasher and it failed to boot in safe strab
i keep trying and go back to stock and reroot via kingroot and then install superuser and busybox
i have another verizon s5 and its possible to install safestrap for the latest LP so why s4 is any different
specially its 5.0.1 not 5.1.x
