Hello everybody, this is my first Lg device, I have always owned HTC devices and there are originals files call RUU, that is an 100% original rom from the fabricant, so it restore everything to an original state...
I was wondering: Is something like that for Lg devices? What is the extension? Where can we get it?
I have seen .zip with .md5.tar files inside for samsumg devices....

Yeah, but that is a System Pull converted into a flashable .zip for recovery...
I was thinking on something original from the fabricant, for example: htc drops all the RUU for their users and you can use it with the .exe or extract it in order to use the rom.zip inside the ruu...
I tough maybe there is something similar around Lg Devices (not exclusively the v10)...
Thank you for your orientation.

LG has kdz files. It seem to be available for every other v10's at the moment but tmobile.
So, say I messed up my stock ROM, and factory resetting isn't working. Seems to be blocked since it doesn't even start to reset.
Edit: Nevermind, turns of with Xposed being installed, it blocks factory reset.
LG just released Marshmallow kdz for international http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/official-software-h960a-v20a-t3354304 and we haven't even gotten lollipop yet. Lol what.

I Don't Know Whether It Works For N4 Converted Devices.I Had Successfully Flashed Stock .20 .bin File With It.But I Suggest To Use This Only When LGNPST Does Not Work/Fails To Flash The FW As For Me.Please Don't Perform Unwanted Experiments With Your Device Or It Will Result In A Hard Brick.

It Did Not Ask For Unlock Code When I Flashed The Stock JB FW.But As Posted By madmack there is A Possibility That It Can Ask For Your Unlock Code.So Proceed With Caution.
Again This Is A Alternate To LGNPST And Only I Have Successfully Flashed The Stock FW.It Is Recommended That Unless It Is Tested By 4-5 Experienced Users,Its A No Go For Noobs/New Users.
And Be Advised That This Process Will Wipe Your Internal Storage.

Edit: There are many more things to do in his (madmack) thread... Did u follow them all? Or for us we do not need all those steps? Let us know before someone bricks.. I use LGNPST but if anyone tries this.. at least they have a better understanding. thanks again for sharing.
just a heads up.. TeenyBin does not work in LG Flash. There are extra CRC checks which I haven't been able to bypass yet. This may change in the future.
also, not sure if this version of LG Flash is same as the newer one I use but I have to set the COM port to 40+ for LG flash to see my device.. altho maybe I'm missing something. I have to go into windows device manager and manually change the COM port used for the phone ( its in properties ).
LG Flash is no better or worse than LGNPST in my opinion. On the plus side.. there's no dll to register... and options are good

I've try to found the download link for the Lg Flash tool on this page, but i haven't. Can you fix it or explain? Thanks anyway.
Which .TOT and .DLL files will you be providing? I need the .DLL and .TOT file for, of course, the AT&T Optimus G E-970 US version! I flashed my wifes phone cause it boot looped and the .TOT used was SUPPOSED to be this file but it is the Korean FW. Now my wifes phone will not update via OTA because it changed her IMEI number. I need to get her phone back to stock 4.1.2 US VERSION!

Here is the file you need to get her phone back to STOCK U.S: http://downloads.codefi.re/g33k3r/LGE970AT-01-V20j-310-410-MAR-08-2013.zip I'm not sure on the DLL file, I use LGNPST so not sure if they are the same but attached it also just incase you can use it.. stock firmware file above is a .tot file so if you need to you can just change it to .bin if you need to.
Thank you blake but no. That is the fw file that turned her phone Korean. So may people are under the impression this is the stock US fw but it isn't. I even had another person here check their phone and his too in fact says "Lg Electronics Korea".

Where do you go check to see if its U.S or Korean?
All settings--> about phone -->phone Identity.
It's under settings-->about phone-->phone identity.
I had another person tell me that's normal because it's only the "manufacturer" info. Which im told this phone is manufactured in Korea. I don't know. All I do know is everyone is saying this is the stock fw for this phone but my wifes phone has changed. The start up screen is different and so is the shut down screen. Example, when her phone would shut down, she would get the AT&T logo and sound. After flashing this file she gets the blue circle and no sound. I do know that 4.1.2 is different depending on the region the phone is in. I don't know anything else that would explain this. Maybe this FW file WAS a different region but it was stripped out and converted somehow?

After a little checking I found out the same thing, It was normal as it was the place of manufacturer. I'm not sure what the problem might be but as far as I know that's the stock firmware for the phone.. You might try this one out http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22901594685177912 you just boot into recovery do the normal wipes and flash through recovery, its supposed to be stock except for being rooted and as far as I know those are the only two stock files floating around for the phone...
Thanks Blake. Can you confirm for me that this phone will NOT get OTA updates if it's changed in any way, including rooting? It's what I was told by someone else. If that's the case then I guess there really is nothing wrong with the phone except those weird unexplained small changes.
I've got all the correct files download and I made it so far as to try to actually flash the phone, but it fails and gives me a wrong model number message because it's detecting my phone as a E960 (it's an E970). Any ideas? I had installed the latest CM11 ROM over some encrypted data and now I'm locked out (old encryption PIN doesn't work) and I can't restore it to stock.
can someone help me with a .tot or .bin stock for lg l70 d320n? cuz i"ve looked for it everywhere but couldn"t find anything
need help bad.
i got this phone from a friend and it originally had cm11 on it. the phone in question is the lg e970. i wanted to get back to stock. so i downloaded the correct firmware and added it to my external sd card. using twrp before i proceeded to wipe the phone via twrp. when it was finished i restarted the phone into twrp and went to install the stock firmware and i could not find my exsd card. twrp does not recognize it at all. so now im stuck with a phone with no os on it. i can ge into twrp and download mode, and when i just boot the phone it goes to lg logo and stays there. i need help in trying to figure out how to get stock firmware back on phone. i am used to samsung phones and odin. so im a noob when it comes to lg. i am very tech savy when it comes to computers. plzzzzzz any help would be great!!!!!!!! and appreciated
I can not add .tot file in LG flash tool
I have unrooted my lg g3 before on another computer. But i can't add the .tot file with my new computer. I am doing everything the same.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I have the Verizon LG G3 with build 12b installed (Was updated by the store when I purchased phone). Is there anyway to unlock the boot loader and root the device as is, or roll the device back to a previous build that is easily unlockable/rootable?
You should have posted in the q&a forum area.
Anyhow - if you want to root, and install a custom recovery (twrp), use the kdz method to get back to 10b:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56484240
Then from this forum area install the bump/twrp from autoprime, and make sure to either freeze system updates or rename the two LGDMSClient files in /system/app. The freeze or rename is so new ota don't get pushed onto your phone after you get the custom recovery (twrp). Otherwise you'll needed the solution in the "stuck in custom recovery" thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56061720
(It is handy to download the "stuck" zip onto your phone as a just-in-case. If you do get an ota, and your phone keeps booting to recovery, tell twrp to Install the zip to clear the ota files )
HTH!
I am trying that method now (actually before you replied) but the kdz file is taking for ever to download. Been running for 30 minutes and still showing 7 hours remaining. I have a really fast internet connection but that one file doesn't wanna download!

I think I am in love with you, JK.....seriously though thanks a bunch....downloading the Mega link now and it seems to be going MUCH faster.
Did it work for you? I tried to downgrade, when phone said 100% it rebooted. I had a dark screen.... Went to the Verizon store, was told it was hard bricked. Haven't tried rooting my replacement yet.
Early adopter, got my phone in July, used the original ioroot, never had to revert.
The kdz method has had quite a few people who succeeded, based on what I read, no idea why it went bad for you. If you are gun shy, understandable, post 2 of annoying duck's thread has a link for the tot approach, supposed to be a slightly more pita way but not too exotic. Key is to flash any existing g3 drivers on your PC, install the proper things used by the tot method.

Hello Verizon V10 Community,
I was able to locate the full KDZ file for the Verizon V10 software version 11B, the latest available for the VS990. I personally have the V10 and it's already on 11B but I have a friend who just received his V10 in the mail today and it had 10B on it so I plugged his into my computer and the Verizon Upgrade Assistant downloaded the 11B KDZ. I have saved it, uploaded it and am making it available anyone who may need it.
You can download it from Android File Host here in a RAR archive: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911975083
Alternatively, you can download it directly from LG's servers here: http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW25NOE3325BACQF4BA4K6T/VS99011B_04_ARB00.kdz
MD5 of KDZ file when downloaded from AFH (NOT the rar file): 7f971f72b81945ad1f06df56300b6bae
You will need to use LGUP to flash this KDZ, which you can download from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297690. After you have installed LGUP, you will need to extract the 'common' folder from the LGUP rar archive and put it in: C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model. (See attached screenshot) This 'common' folder contains the DLL file that is needed for LGUP to recognize the Verizon variant of the V10. There are other downloads of LGUP in other forums here in XDA which contain other installers in addition to the LGUP installer. The other installers install DLL files for other variants of the V10 which are not needed for the Verizon variant. The DLL I've included in the 'common' folder is all you need for our Verizon variant.
Enjoy

I've not yet tried flashing this KDZ but I'm going to assume we can use the LGFlashTool to flash this as the cool new LGUP program that has appeared recently in the G4 forums does not work with the V10. I tried it and the program won't even open when my V10 is attached to my computer. I'm guessing it needs a DLL file installed to work. If anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know.
I assure you this is not a fake. This is a genuine KDZ file downloaded directly from Verizon Upgrade Assistant. If anyone here decides to flash it, please let me know what program you used and the outcome of the process.

Same process I posted back in Jan about getting the .KDZ and the post to go along with it. I was unable to get the .KDZ file to flash to the phone. The version also had much userdata included in the file which is why I never released the file.

I'm not sure what version I tried but I had many different versions of the software but didn't want to run into a bricked phone and didn't have much time to spend on trying and failing with personal things going on.
LGUP isn't recognizing the KDZ file. It sees the TOT however. Any way to fix this?
EDIT: Just had to choose the Update radial instead of Refurbish.
I believe upgrade is tot only and refurbish is kdz and tot. Or vice versa.
We just got our upgrade to marshmallow is going to be possible to obtain root for it?

Just going to throw this out there. No matter what KDZ file I download, I can't get passed the Google Account setup. There's data on that file that prevents the phone from going forward and constantly loops back to the beginning of entering the Google Account previously associated with the phone before the factory reset.

Hi guys, I'm James and I live in mexico. I'm Argentinean. A month ago I bought the LG V10 and then use it normally, one day I restarted the phone all the time and now stays at the logo screen. I know it is operational, the software system. But I took my phone to a technician famous city where I live repair and told me not found support for the cellular putting on new software. You think you can help me? Please . If necessary I will do it myself. What I find something silly and illogical is that he has not found support for the LG V10. Sorry for my English if there are errors. Thank you.

You can flash stock rom by using lg up and kdz. Make sure you use the correct kdz file for it.
Keep in mind, KDZ flash will erase your data, so be aware of that.

Yep. If you can get some kind soul on here to extract the stock recovery and turn it into a flashable zip, then you can download it, boot to TWRP, flash it, and viola -- stock recovery.
It doesn't matter what model recovery is from -- they are all the same with the EXCEPTION of the H932. If you have an H932, you must use the H932 recovery. You won't brick your phone, but you will be flashing a KDZ if you ever want to take OTAs again. Also, if you don't have an H932, do not use the H932 recovery -- same outcome.
EDIT: if your phone is rooted, you will not be able to take OTAs (the hash check will fail). So, if it is rooted, you need to unroot it (install Magisk manager) before flashing the stock recovery and taking OTAs.

Ironic you wish to remove TWRP from your phone when for several months that's what we would have given large sums of money to have. Finally in May 2018, the WTF exploit allowed us to do that. You can root your phone, since you have TWRP and install recent TWRP-flashable zip based on stock firmware.
But if you wish to return for full stock without TWRP custom recovery, you will need to use LGUP to flash stock KDZ. And yes that requires a PC.

I'll have to let one of the Korean users answer that. I'm not an expert on the Korean models. They have to do extra step to get TWRP, root and get radio back. So if your phone works and has TWRP then at over point in was rooted with Magisk.

If you are going to keep TWRP then I won't bother, but if you want to go back to stock let me know and it just so happens I have that KDZ sitting in my archives so I don't even need to wait 40 years for lg-firmwares.com to download

Again, I am not going to bother right now since it sounds like you may actually want to keep your phone as is.

Sorry -- I just haven't had the time -- and it doesn't even take that long. I have a few minutes right now, let me see if I can throw something together for you.
Keep in mind, that I have no way of testing it. It won't brick your phone, but I might have a typo and it will just fail (I have a tendency to have typos ;P ).
If that happens, you will just have to tell me where it is failing, and I will fix it. *crosses fingers that I have no typos*
EDIT: I am not going to do something half assed. I am grabbing the latest firmware available on lg-firmwares (V300K21r) and going to make a FULL zip.
As long as you don't wipe data, even if you are on a lower version, you should be able to flash it and keep your data. I will flash all the partitions that usually get flashed when using a KDZ.
I should have it up in about an hour.....
EDIT2: It is up -- https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=286970
Download and flash that in TWRP. Wipe cache / dalvik. Reboot and you will be fully stock. Again, you should only lose your data if you factory reset or wipe / format data.
Enjoy,

You don't say WHICH V30 you have. That's important information you left off. If cross flashed to another variant, what was the last stock firmware you used before installing custom ROM?
You can either:
* restore the TWRP backup you made before flashing the LOS- based custom ROM.
You did make a backup, right?
or
* flash TWRP-flashable zip (ROM) made from stock firmware.
Made for V30 with TRWP custom recovery by our Devs; basically stock ROM but with DTS 3D and other stuff already enabled. We have them for several V30 variants -- which is why we need to know what you have.
or
* use Dev Patched LGUP to install LG stock KDZ for your V30 variant.
Your Bootloader will still be unlocked. You will then need to follow WTF Section 6 Instructions to re-install TWRP, reformat internal memory, root. Unless you have T-Mobile H932, which uses different method to install TWRP. Which is why we need to know what variant you have.
(Saying you have a "V30" is like saying you have a "Dell" computer. It tells us very little.)

LG Bridge isn't going to work for you on LOS-based custom ROMs. It's LG software looking for LG stock firmware to update.

Thank you very much to those who have answered me, and tried most of the forms and just brick the cell phone, finally I read on a page that served to let much of the battery run out and try again and I did it and miracle It worked, I hope this helps another person with a similar problem.
