Can someone on here please confirm 100% if this variant of H962 ie. "N" actually exists as I have seen it advertised on Ebay at a better price than the H961 or even H962 (without the N!).
I am keen to buy it but only if it is dual sim and am wondering if the N is significant in this matter.
I congratulate all you experts on the wonderful work you are doing in giving mere motals like me, such potetially useful information.
Thank you in advance.

There are H962 (Taiwan version) and H961n (Hong Kong version). Both are dual sim phones, but cover slightly different frequency bands.

Hello,
Thanks for replying. I already knew that about those two phones. It was the H962N that I wanted clarification on.
However the question is immaterial now as in the end I ordered an H961N and am now awaiting it's delivery.

hey guys i am officially done with samsung after a complete circus ride of an s6. would like to buy a g5 but there are so many flippin variants i don't know what to buy. i'm currently on at&t, and i know they are all against unlocking the boot loader, so which do i get? i saw that the european g5 is the only one to get twrp? i found an H860n on ebay for $561. is this the same variant? thanks in advance.
European variant is H850.
I might get a European version myself. It costs the same if I were to buy it outright in Canada. The only thing I have to verify is the frequencies.

You have to be sure that the Phone Comes from a European country.
And like mohsinkhan35 mentioned you schuld check the frequencies
Edit: in a Lot of countrys tmobile is a Network Carrier.
I don think that Helps.
Maybe ask the selber.
Amazon just started selling the RS988 model that is supposedly fully unlocked and supports all the US carrier frequency bands. I just ordered one today - $649.99 + tax, free same day delivery (in some areas - I'm in LA).
http://amzn.to/206SH6F
When I get it, I'll let you know if it is actually fully unlocked.
BestBuy also has fully unlocked G5s.

Clove is where I bought mine... Very reputable seller out of the UK. Myself and some other people on the forums bought their H850 from clove. Got mine via DHL from the UK to Colorado in 2 days!
Verified H850 unlocked, unbranded, and made for UK but listed as EU open. Have had ZERO issues that others report.
Everytime I look at the lg g5 site listing the price goes down.
If u want guaranteed root and twrp go with H850 EU open variant. Do not buy from eBay! Go with Clove or AmazonUK.
Also H850 supports all the band's you'll need unless u decide to join CDMA network. DO not get RS988 , if history has shown us anything about LG, it tells us that variant will only ever be carrier unlocked.

Just a PSA if you get the rs988 do not change or update your imei. Att does not recognize the device in any way and you would be stuck with hspa+ just was on the phone with them had to use my old imei.
Thanks for the clove link. How long does shipping take? Kinda wanting to get one asap.
Returning my Exynos version off the back of disappointing battery life I've experienced, real shame as I love the phone but can't handle having to nurse it through a day.
Has anyone tried importing an American version of the S9+? Looks like it's possible to get one for under £700 on Amazon.
Not too fussed about the locked bootloader but was wondering if anyone has any real world experience of both the exynos and SD variants and their relative battery performance/ any other quirks (I.e. wouldn't be eligible under warranty)?
Hard to tell from the forums as everyone's usage differs but generally speaking the SD seems to have a significant advantage. (Have also closely followed anandtechs work but more interested in people's real-world performance)
I have the Latin America/Hong Kong Dual SIM Snapdragon 845 version (SM-G9650/DS) and the battery life is not that good but is enough for me.
I've returned my UK exynos to very due to battery life and call dropouts. Liked the phone tho.
Just purchased a 256gb g9650 on eBay from France for £690 which seemed like a good deal. Hopefully it will be better.

Any1 knows the way to import the dual sim unlocked SD version to India? EBay, Amazon, aliexpress were of no help.
This is a shame, Was thinking of picking one up from O2 again. Had it for a week before the p20 and it seemed fine

It seems they have only the sim free versions, won't help that in India. Anyways thanks for the response.
If you have to go SD845 get the 9650 https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...R5.TRC0.A0.H0.Xg9650.TRS0&_nkw=g9650&_sacat=0

This seller seems to be shipping to India as well, thanks,it helped.
re
isnt the sd better in battery life ? i thought it was from what i been reading. I also thought that it came with an unlocked bootloader
I have both (exynos on Three uk and SD on USA T Mobile). I would say that the SD marginally had better battery life but since three rolled out an update last week the battery life between the two has been more or less the same. This makes me think the exynos just has a badly tuned cpu governer and software updates will even out the gap...
Also I would recommend against the SD models in the UK unless you can unlock the bootloader and root etc or you will be stuck with a firmware and CSC that won't support carrier aggregation LTE, WiFi & calling. Had this issue with a Hong Kong imported S8 Plus last year and changing CSC was buggy as hell...
I'm looking to buy a used G8X on eBay (GSM Unlocked) to use in the Dominican Republic. I was wondering if there's an advantage to buying one version over another (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc) or if they're all the same. I know some times phones will have diferent variants that won't let you use the same rooting methods or the same ROMs.
Also, do all versions support the dual screen case, even if it didn't originally come with it? I'd probably buy the phone without the dual screen and maybe buy that later.
Thanks in advance.
I see that B&H Photo sells XQ-BC62 model in US as "Sony XPERIA 1 III Dual-SIM 256GB 5G Smartphone (Unlocked)", i.e. the dual-SIM capability is explicitly claimed.
Meanwhile other US web sites (e.g. BestBuy) also sell XQ-BC62 model in US without mentioning the dual-SIM capability.
So, is XQ-BC62 sold in the US a dual-SIM phone or not?
I understand that Sony devices whose designation begins with X are supposed to be dual-SIM, at least hardware-wise. But there could be software differences, right? Or not?
---
A more specific question that interests me is about future AT&T compatibility. The AT&T's compatibility list clams support for XQ-BC62. So, does it mean that the dual-SIM phone from B&H is going to be supported? Or is there a chance that it will stop working on AT&T network after February 2022, despite being on the list?
Uh... Sorry. My mistake. BestBuy page also says it is dual-SIM. Missed it.
Everything's clear now.

As shown on GSM Arena, all model numbers of the Xperia 1 iii are hybrids. That means they have one regular sim slot and one sim/sd card slot even though only one of the two sim cards can use 5G at one time.
I did have the same experience when ordering my Xperia 10 III. On the website I ordered from. It said it would only have one sim slot. But I did some research and found out it was a hybrid, which I did confirm on delivery.

Don't count on Telco support improving. All Sony needs to do is update the firmware but that hasn't happened. Only upstream security patches and critical bug fixes (boot loops, firmware self-destruct, and dangerous overheating) have been released. I haven't seen any badly needed performance or usability fixes.

Would you be kind enough to elaborate? I own this phone, and though I choose to run Nova Prime, I have no usability or performance issues at all!

Many countries are releasing phones with dual sim, but there are some countries like Japan that does not provide dual sim, Many phones in Japan does not support dual sim.
Hello I found 256 GB LG v60's on aliexpress with excellent reviews from people using them around the world. They come in T-mobile and Verizon variant firmwares. I asked the seller to clarify and here is my message:
hello I know a lot about these phones and have a question. The v600n korean is the 256GB model. Your selling V600TM as a 256GB model. That is T-mobile firmware thats been crossflashed over the korean firmware? Is this correct or is the original T-mobile 256GB variant thats very rare? I just know there are officially only 3 variants that came with 256GB. The EA european worldwide international, the korean unreleased v600n, and the very rare T-mobile 256GB variant. So your 256GB models are most likely the v600n variant thats been crossflashed. Can you please confirm if this is accurate? I just want to know exactly what I'm buying since I will be bootloader unlocking and rooting it. Thank you so much. I'm happy with it being the korean v600n thats been crossflashed. I just want to understand better. Thank you very much.
Same thing is found on ebay for an extra $100 with good reviews:

I just have read that the korean v600n can have issues when crossflashed to the international EA firmware. So I'm curious if he used the v600n motherboards how exactly he crossflashed them to be working so well. Thanks for any input.

That is the link to the 256GB models on aliexpress. Im just so curious what they originally were but they must have been the korean v600n that was crossflashed. I'm debating buying just a motherboard and putting it into my mint condition at&t LG v60 while also repairing its charging port and seeing how that goes.
