I followed the instructions provided at the MEGA UNBRICK something thread situated here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3272108/
Anyway, when I hold the volume-up button for 10 seconds, followed by plugging the Onyx with the PC, the system does't detect the device. What can I do now? And is there any alternative method to unbrick a hardbricked phone? I urgently need help
If you installed the drivers and the computer is not reckognizing the device, that's bad news. How did you manage to accomplish that?

I don't know. And ijust in case if you were being sarcastic, I used the same computer to replace the recovery of this phone.
Im not being sarcastic. The problem with the Android modding scene is that people got too used to blindly following steps without really knowing how they are affecting their devices. In order to get better chances at getting help, you'll need to describe what and exactly how you were altering your phone.

I was using Bliss ROM with BluSpark kernel. Anyway, I downloaded 2 ROMS today, Sailfish OS and the stock H2OS for OPX. I wiped the phone and first flashed the Sailfish OS, but the phone was stuck in a bootloop which only was showing the oneplus logo and the text "Powered by Anrdoid". After that, I entered recovery, and did the normal pre-flash wipe again. This time I flashed the H2OS, but after I gave "Reboot to System", my phone just wont do nor display anything. Hardbricked, dead
Can you boot it into recovery? Your bat may be dead from extensively flashing stuff, so plug the phone to the power cable and press and hold VolDown+Power for some good 30s, then you can conclude your phone wont boot into recovery and maybe need an unbrick.

Does the led light up when you plug the phone to the wall? If it does let it charge for an hour before attempting anything else.
After that and before trying anything else, make sure driver signature check is off and test mode is on. This varies slightly for Windows 7/8 vs 8.1/10. Which version are you running?

I turned off the signature check, W8
If your led doesnt light when your phone is plugged to the wall, this is behind the hard unbricking procedure and your phone is indeed, dead.

Can a mod please close this thread?
No idea what it could be besides corrupt firmware which I've never heard of happening before. The Qualcomm utility should work just fine. Leave it plugged in for an hour or two and see if anything happens
Did you install the qualcomm drivers? If not do it again carefully with driver enforcement off. It works like a charm. Have bricked my device twice as of now and it worked.

Hello,
After following this tutorial

my touchscreen stopped working and my USB debugging is disabled. I have no recovery app, like CWM.
I need help to restore my system or to enable the USB debugging without using the touchscreen, so I can fix the problem.
Please guys, I'm desperate and I don't know what to do
Thanks

With no usable recovery and no USB debugging enabled... You're in a really difficult situation here.
The only thing I can think of is, you can try reflashing the original stock firmware using the official methods. Never done this nor do I intend to so I have no pointers for you there, sorry. You might also lose your data, not sure. But hey, at least you should have a functioning phone again!
Perhaps the local experts here will come up with something else, so stay tuned.
You will probably have to fastboot a new rom. But first you will have to unlock your bootloader. See the guides at the top of the General section.
Well my noobish suggestion is start by fast boot flashing a current recovery. Then flash the zip file in your linked thread, and you should be up and running.
I've just used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163342
Now my phone doesn't boot:
"Failed to boot 4
Starting RSD mode"
Aparently, I can't use Fastboot anymore.
Is there a way to recover it using RSD Mode?
Is your bootloader unlocked?

Yes, it is.
But now I'm stuck at RSD Mode in the "Boot failed" screen
Relax, you've got a soft brick. You can recover.
Carefully follow the instructions on the link below (this worked for me). Keep in mind that your soft brick can turn in to a hard brick, so do this at your own risk. Flashing sbf files is risky, but at this point you don't have much of a choice.

Edit:
Good luck!

I was doing what you said, but now I've got another problem: The battery doesn't charge.
In the wall charger, it freeze in the boot screen. In the USB, I just get a green light.
Does anybody know a solution for this battery issue?
First off, did you successfully recover from your soft brick?
you could just use the lapdock and fix the problem from start..

take out your battery, plug into the wall charger to force it into charge mode. place your battery in the phone.
if this doesn't work, you'll have to destroy a USB cable and charge it manually.

Essentially its making a factory cable of sorts, I believe. Taking the + and - of the cable and directly touching to those terminals also of the battery while in the phone and force charging. I could be wrong, but that's what I understand of it.
That sounds like something I hope I never have to do.
dudsmat, how did it go?
Desktop chargers are cheap....no need to destroy a cable.

I need help. My htc amaze 4g is rooted and I have s off and super cid and i was running on android revolution hd rom, an app by the name of root mobile odin pro was installed on my phone, it was attempting to create a dump file so that I could give it to the dev so that he could possibly make my cell phone compatible with the app. But now my phone will no longer power on, it does not charge, no led light, the battery is full, has sd card, no sim card. under device manager on windows 7 it comes up as QHSUSB DLOAD. Will not run into recovery mode when vol down and power button is held. Computer does not recognize it. Can not run adb in cmd prompt, no reboot command works because device can not be found. I've tried to do everything on unlimited io page to no avail. When I do connect the phone to the PC it does make a sound to inform me that I just connected it. But the screen remains black and the light remains off.

What did you do with the app? Did you attempt to flash ANYTHING on the phone? Sounds like you did however and messed up with one of its internal partitions.
EDIT: I'm going to go ahead and say you bricked your phone. I just re-read and... Why would you install something meant for *SAMSUNG* phones, on a *HTC* phone? You messed up right there. The unbricking project only will unbrick HTC Amazes when they're bricked in a certain fashion. It specifically states that it is known to be working for "writesecureflag 3" type of bricks. You could try and see if it will work in your case, but it probably won't. More likely than not, with the app you used, you might have accidentally wiped a partition that would have been safe for samsung devices (but dangerous on HTC devices).
Like he said ^^^ anything odin is for Samsung... u now have a nice coaster

*** I am so devastated, my cell phone was so valuable to me. Can't believe I was so senseless to make such an error as this. The app was for Samsung but the app said it could create a dump file so that my device would become compatible . But that sounds so stupid to me now . A little too late. I'm so sad. I wish there was some way to fix it. Wish there was a USB jig for HTC's.
IF YOU KNOW OF ANYTHING, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING THAT MAY HELP PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!
(Thank you for all the reply's)
IT happens
Hey it happens, that how we learn thing sometimes, and sometime it can cost us. You could try these things
1) See if it can be JTAGed (cheapest possibility)
2) If it's still under warranty (which it probably isn't) send it off, and say it wouldn't power on after a update.
3) Find a Amaze with a broken or cracked screen, and replace the motherboard yourself.
That's all I can think of. Good luck
I'll start out that I'm new to android, been an avid blackberry user that just purchased my note 2. I followed the casual root application, and unlocked and rooted my device. I went to install cm 10.2 mod on my device after wiping the device in development mode then proceeded to install from sdcard and it failed. Now my device will not respond to either download mode or development mode or power on in any way (including using a charger and removing and replacing the battery). I'm kind of stuck and not sure how to approach the correct solution to get my device back up and running. I did make sure that the cm mod I downloaded was for my specific device. Is it possible that maybe the root/unlock method failed and thats where I went wrong when installing the cm mod? I also get no response when the device is plugged into my pc. So its not being read by odin currrently.
Since it appears I have hard bricked my device, not quite sure what steps I can do to recover. I get no power to the device in any situation, I've read online about jtag, if anyone could point me in a direction it would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
Sorry forgot to mention this was a verizon branded note 2

Thanks for the reply sangalaxy, like I mentioned the phone does not respond at all for download mode, not recognized by Odin or showing any power when connected to a charger. Hence why I was thinking its hard bricked.
I'm not sure if I can send it to samsung, since I bought the phone off craigslist.

Hello. I have flashed my Lenovo Vibe K5, former build A6020a40_S004 to A6020a40_105, hoping for that VoLTE update. Following the proper steps and downloading the Stock ROM Firmware from trusted supplier, my phone won't boot into anything: recovery, or normal. Though the LED lights up when connected to a computer. However, it doesn't appear on my computer or hear that USB chime. I'm using a Windows 10 (which I've seen many have issues with Windows 10 and drivers) running on Bootcamp 6. I appreciate it if you guys could help me. Thank you very much.
By the way, I have no custom recovery installed. Just the basic Android System Recovery <3e> and I'm not that familiar with Android systems.

Yes my bud. I will provide you the link shortly to some SDK tools so that you can flash your recovery IMG again and et access to recovery mode. I know that situation is chaotic and sucks but I am assuming that you aren't able to access twrp or anything.when you turn the phone on it gets stuck at lenovo and after few minutes it gets restarted on its own. And on connection g it to computer, it just doesn't get connected and nothing appears to be connected. I want you to take the battery out and place it again after few minutes and press the "vol down" button and "power button at the same time. You'll see the same lenovo icon but there will be something written in Chinese or something like that. Now connect your phone to your computer and I advise you to use a very good quality data sharing cable or original lenovo cable. Now your computer will recognise your phone as a hard drive or a storage device.i I'll try to upload a video on that too. Till then try these steps and lemme know if they work and your computer recognises your dead phone.if it does then there is still a hope left. BTW I was stuck in the same situation twice but thank god I saved myself and I am using my device. Note:- this method doesn't uses any software like " QFIL" or "QCOM" loader to flash stock firmware. I fear I may have bricked my phone while trying to flash a custom rom. I had TWRP installed. I used it to flash LineageOS and everything seemed to be going correctly, but then I rebooted the device and it after showing the initial splash screen it just turned off again. It only shows the splash screen now if I hold down Volume down and the Power button for 20 seconds. It doesn't boot into recovery mode or download mode and I don't understand why. I don't know if there's anything that could be done in a situation like this, but if anyone might be able to help I'd really appreciate it. The device is still in warranty, but when you turn it on it says that it's not running stock software so I don't know good of an idea it would be to try to get a replacement unit. I've done that before, successfully with another samsung phone I had about 7 years ago.

Usually through test points in the back of your device. If your able to get into recovery/main OS try adb reboot edl. If not you can able make or buy a deep flash cable that sets the device into EDL mode

Yep it's definitely in EDL. When you plug it in do you see Qcom HS-USB 9008 (or 9006) or just Qcom USB bulk or similar? If so then that's a good sign that you can recover, but you'll need a programmer that works with your device. Yes a deep flash cable should do the trick if not already in edl

Hmm seems it can boot into the kernel. Do you know the specs of the device? If it's Qualcomm I can go have a look around and see what I can find to point you into the right direction

It's SoC is a proprietary Samsung chip. All Samsungs use proprietary chips afaik. The A10 uses the Exynos 7884.

I thought they would have implemented a special mode of operation if you got into a brick like that. If the device comes on with the charger then it's probably not fully bricked. I've seen other threads that have had the same issue so you may have to check them out

Really? where have you seen other people with this issue? I've looked on the A10's forums but I found nothing. Could you send me some links?

Try to look for other devices and search deeply good sir you may find what you need. I use Qualcomm devices because we have a special EDL mode and I have a programmer for all my devices to restore in the case of a hard brick like yours. I've been able to use custom tools to create a restore firmware like the Zone 2 (LG) and flash the device far enough to get it into download mode to flash the KDZ

You'll need to search with other devices or just in general. I seen posts about it being in some USB mode but Samsung probably don't have that implementation
Hello,
I am currently facing the same problem. Were you able to solve the problem?
