You can't ..Better Wipe everything with Stock Recovery(factory reset) ..now Everything will be fine I think... Then just Install Mobile uncle tools and flash TWRP Recovery & Reboot to TWRP & Backup the Clean Stock ROM you have just Factory Reseted now .. Then you use your device as Usual ..
Note : if you already have Any Stock ROM Zips Means no Problem..if You Don't Have means Backup Your Phone's Stock ROM With TWRP..It will be a Lifesaver Sometimes.. Just Clicking A Restore Button in TWRP is Enough to Go Back to Stock If Any Problems Means.. That's Why All Users use Custom Recovery instead of Stock Recovery After Buying the Phone..#Lifesaver ..

Iam sure Your Stock doesn't Have Any problems.. Factory Reset it..It Will be Fine
Try flashing with GAPPS & See if YouTube & other Google Services Doesn't Work..GAPPS is the Problem here..
First try the Above .. For Stock ROM u need GAPPS for ARM 4.4(KitKat) use Pico Package it's Enough ..
Anyhow you installed TWRP Right.. So no problems
Do This Only If You're facing problems even after GAPPS install & Factory Reset Method ..
Download this stock ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3287008
& Place the Zip in your SDCard ..
Reboot to Recovery ..
Select install & Choose the Zip & flash it ..then Reboot ..that's it ..
Note : Take a Backup of hour Own Stock ROM Before Doing this ,Even Your Stock ROM Has Some Problems..

Nope ..Only Zips Are Possible With TWRP .. So Use The Zip I Provided ..
Go to www.opengapps.org .. & Download ARM 4.4 Pico Package ..
Download It & Keep ..Dont FLASH It..
Now Flash The STOCK ROM In Recovery..After Flashing The ROM Reboot to System .. As It's A Stock ROM I Think It Will Have All GAPPS .. Check it .. If It doesn't Have Go To Recovery & Flash It Quickly .. And The ROM is Already Pre Rooted .. you Can Update SuperSU Binaries After Reboot ..
IMPORTANT :
After Rebooting To System ,By Flashing The ROM ..First Check for Google Apps ,Are There Or Not ..Don't Change Anything In Settings Or So on .. Check it First , if It's Not there Reboot to Recovery Soon & Flash It then Reboot to System ..That's It ..
Follow the Instructions In The STOCK ROM Thread ..
Good Luck ..

[Guide] How to root and Flash new ROM on SGS2 for newbie for GB, ICS or JB.

Hello guys I’m here with a noob guide for who are very new to Rooting and how to install a new ROM on SGS2,
But this guide after rooting process will be same to flash the Custom ROM on other devices as well.
Rooting of GB devices
I'm not responsible for any harm to your device in this process, you are doing it on your own risk. By doing this you're voiding warranty of your product.
2.3.3/2.3.6 User should have to take a look on Chainfire's CFRoot method. However 2.3.3 can be rooted through recovery but 2.3.6 can't be without CFRoot method.
Needed tool for rooting GB
PC
Samsung USB drivers
Odin3
CFRooted stock kernel
Instructions-
Follow these instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch!
Unzip the attached CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.zip
(USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
Start ODIN
Click the PDA button, and select CF-Root-xxx-vX.X.tar
Put your phone in download mode
(USB) Connect the phone to your computer
Make sure repartition is NOT checked
Click the START button
Wait for the phone to reboot
Done
Now you have rooted phone with custom recovery. Thanks to @Chainfire for his awesome work.
Rooting of ICS
So for rooting the SGS2 we have a lots of guides but there is the much safe way to root it flashing the script via Stock recovery. So Philz has overcome to this problem with his awesome Kernel and with this thread named [ICS/JB]Universal Rooting for most phones, Any ROM, now with CWM6.
Instructions-
Copy the Root_XXX.zip file you downloaded to externalsd card
Boot into stock recovery (volume up+home+power), and select "apply update from external storage". Now select the Root_XXX.zip file downloaded above and you are rooted
To unroot, do the above steps and replace the file Root_XXX.zip by the attached Unroot_SuperUser-Busybox-Uninstaller-Update2-signed.zip. It will delete superuser, su and busybox packages.
Download links-
Root_SuperSU.0.98-Busybox.1.20.2-signed.zip
Unroot_SuperUser-Busybox-Uninstaller-Update2-signed.zip
Thanks to @Phil3759 for his awesome thread. Now you need custom kernels which should have the custom recovery, for that you can use DorimanX or Siyah kernel which are brickbug free.
Or you can just download the PhilzKernelCWM.zip with your matched code or at least similar kernel code and put it on your external SD card and then reboot into recovery by Holding the three combo key (Volumeup + Home + Power) and then choose option “Install Update zip” and choose the PhilzCWM.zip and flash it. After flashing done, you have rooted your Phone successfully with SuperSU installed. Now reboot to the recovery again and backup your ROM.
For JB release rootingJust flash the philz kernel from the stock recovery and you are rooted.
Now time to Backup your current ROM before flashing the new Custom ROM on your device, it is recommended in case when something happen bad. If you are running 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 then the backup process is very simple just reboot into recovery and then touch the Backup option and that’s all, your all apps, contacts, sms and data will be backed up by default, and this backup will be placed on external sd card in Clockworkmod/Backup path by default.
But if you are running JB 4.1.2 then the backup job is not easy on all recovery’s. There is an extra folder called Preload is very important one where your all system apps have been placed, which is not included in simple backup process. So the drill starts here…..Reboot into recovery select option “Backup and Restore”
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now select the option “Advance Backup and Restore”
Now select the “Custom Backup Job”. There you have tick the “Preload” folder and then scroll down and “Start custom Backup job” And then it will ask where you want to store the backup on you “Intenal/External Stroage”. After selecting the storage path it will start the backup process. When it finished you are ready to install the new ROM.
Note: If you don’t want to do this manually then I recommend the Apolo kernel which can backup the Preload by default no need of custom backup
NOTE: Before doing the below steps, backup your all apps and data using “Helium” or “Go backup” from play store to restore them on your newly flashed ROM. As after wipe data/reset you will lost all your contacts, Sms’s, and app and their data.
Now select the option “Wipe Data/ Factory reset” and then choose the second option “Clean to Install a New ROM”.
Note: I’ve seen this option in Philz only which is for Samsung only, non Samsung users have to select the first option and then follow these steps:
Wipe cache
Advanced/Wipe Dalvik cache
Now Select the option “Install Zip” and choose your zip from either Internal SD card or External SD Card wherever you have put the downloaded ROM zip file and flash it. Let’s finish the process and now reboot your system, it will take about 5-10 Min on first boot so don’t panic.
My credit and thanks
A big thanks to my NeatROM family.

Hey avirk, nice job. :thumbup:
3 things to mention:
1. There's no Philz kernel for GB ROMs.
2. They will end up with Superuser, not SuperSu
3. I think after ticking preload in Custom backup job, it is a good idea to Save Philz settings because it needs to stay ticked for restoring backup with preload included as well.
Cheers.
Nice Avirk, good luck :thumbup:

Do i need to install custom recovery like other phones or unlock boot loader to install custom roms?
So ur guide means,
1- install kernel via phone's current stock recovery
2- back up current stock rom "apparently ics for me"
3- place new custom rom zip i got from forum on sd card
4- go to restore factory and format
5- open phone's based recovery mode and choose install zip from sd? And flash rom
That's it? If yes, do i need to reinstall zip kernel to get root again?
Thx dude a lot u r a life saver

If you are on ICS then download the philz kernel and flash it under stock recovery, if possible see if there is the philz available for your firmware. Read the Philz thread carefully.
Place the zip of rom on your sd you got from forum.
After flashing the philz your phone is rooted and you have custom recovery.
Just reboot to recovery again and you will see it.
When you will backup it will backup your current kernel and recovery automatically which would be philz.
If your phone is not locked by any carrier then you don't need to unlock its bootloader its already unlocked.
Do a factory reset from the recovery not from the phone.
Wipe cache and then under Advanced wipe dalvik cache, strongly recommended to not get the bootloop.
Now flash the ROM zip and reboot the phone after completing the flash of zip.
Note: Please read the OP carefully how can you get back your apps and data.
If still have any doubt just ask me without any hesitation. Good luck.

If you will install a custom ROM like CM, JellyBam, SlimBean(aosp/aokp based), Or my favourite NeatRom(Sammy based custom rom) you don't need to root them again they are all rooted.
After flashing any of these ROM your current kernel will be overwrite by these ROM's default kernel which comes with CWM 6.+. So no need to install the custom recovery again.
And you can't install a ROM with stock recovery you need a custom recovery. If I'm not clear you can ask any time.
It's much much better, I was going to send you a PM about GB root but now it's done, great job mate, really great

[Q] Not able to flash any ROM on recovery and Odin not detects the phone

Hello everyone,
I have a bizarre problem. I was on Shostock 4.1.2 and I decided to flash OmniROM [NIGHTLY BUILDS].I've completed the 5 steps mentioned in the OP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544790 and flashing was went on well, but it goes to boot loop of initial Samsung Logo. I could open the recovery mode, TWRP V2.6.3.0 is installed now. When I tried to reflash the Omni ROM, it gets failed. I tried to flash other ROMs like Shostock 4.0 which was running earlier and stock GB but to no avail.
This is the message am getting when flashing "ANY" ROM from recovery.
updating partition details
Full SELinux support is present
initializing /sdcard/XXXXXX/firmware file
checking for MD5 file
skipping MD5 check:no MD5 file found
veriying zip signature..
E:Zip signature verification failed:1
Error Flashing zip /sdcard/xxxx/firmware file
updating partition details
FAILED in red
I tried to flash the stock UCKH7 which came with my phone but Odin is not detecting my phone.I tried V1.85, 3.07 &3.09 but its not at all detecting the device. Tried a Jig to get into download mode eventhough am able to get the DL mode through key combinations but doesnt helps. Took off the battery and vol down button and connected the USB cable to get into DL mode as suggested by Creepncrawly still no luck. Uninstalled the USB driver and reinstalled it, no luck to get detected.
When charging off mode Charging indicator: Big white battery icon with a question mark on it.
I hope its soft bricked as am able to get into recovery.Is my phone bricked and if not how do i fix it? Any body know what to do next?
I've already done so many wipes including factory reset, dalvik, cache, system & data.
Thanks in advance,
Here's a thought: if you're able to get into recovery AND still have your old SHOstock backup (or rom zip), just flash a CWM-bssed kernel, then immediately reboot recovery. This should give you back CWM and allow you to restore your previous backup... if you still have it.
Thank you for supplying the details of your process, and of the failure.

Cyril, you are awsome man, thanks for the effort. I tried that before but it never worked. I guess my zip file could be a bad download eventhough the MD5 matches I tried few more attempts before flashing a CWM kernel and some tries it successfully finished with the Omni ROM but it never booted properly and thats the reason I came to the conclusion that could be bad download
But am still not clear about why I was not able to run the cooks wipe script or other Shostock/GB ROMs which I was able to do before the issue. Is it not supported in TWRP?
Anyways, am in great relief once my phone is back to work and thanks to all for the helping hands.
Will try another download of the Omni ROM next week as I had enough for this week
BTW, is there an option for taking a screenshot in TWRP? It could be great tool for giving details.

BTW, is there an option for taking a screenshot in TWRP? It could be great tool for giving details.

I'm definitely sorry that OmniROM wasn't able to work out for you. Others have been able to experience Omni without the same difficulties, although a few have had issues with the initial boot. Shostock was my first custom ROM, and it is a good one. I have had issues flashing other roms from the jeboo kernel, and IIRC, the solution was to flash AJK first, then proceed from there (as SteveMurphy prescribed).
You mentioned that you followed the 5 steps in the Omni OP, but did you heed the OP advisement to start from cwm 6.0.4.4+?
Recovery screenshot obtained using this tool.

With your phone on fully booted into (whatever ROM)
1) Gather all necessary flash files onto internal sdcard before performing these steps.

...to answer the rest of your questions, TWRP is definitely capable of flashing Cook's script and other ROMS. beyond the zip verification toggle, I'm not sure why it didn't work for you.

Thanks for reverting back so fast:good:
I am not sure that CWM was on 6.0.4.4 at that time Before flashing your ROM I've flashed the [ROM/MOD] 4.3.1 ~ Jellybean ~ AoCP 6.4 ~ The Collective for few hours which is having the required CWM version I guess but not sure about that
I m happy to see that you have simplified the instructions in OP which is good for noobs like me. Would you mind to add a link for CWM 6.0.4.4 also in the OP? I know its too much of spoon feeding but to be honest, I couldn't find a proper one for I777.
Thanks for the screenshot tool, will be useful for the future flashes Will come back to your thread soon.

CWM cannot be flashed separately on this device, and there are not any custom kernels available for it yet; therefore, the easiest way to get the latest is to flash the latest cm nightly, as stated in the OP of the omni thread.
I am using micromax unite2 with twrp after reset from setting not getting on then i gone in recovery option in that while instaling,wiping,format or any task it says failed to open theme zip pls help me bro

'cos it's the "whole updated stock rom", i.e., stock rom + the latest update rolled into one convenient easy-to-use package. read the op.
i was reading stock kernel was needed
i know kernel is usually in the full build
so
1. do we need the stock kernel?
2. Will TA backup work?
3. do we need to clear cache and data?
4. Will the existing 3rd party kernel and recoveries work after the update?
As far as I know from my limited flashing experience, the custom kernel will get overwritten by those present in the ROM being flashed.

Flashed this full ROM. Successful !! :highfive:
But I lost Root access and the stock recovery.
I am trying to flash it in fastboot mode, but its stuck at this message:
target reported max download size of 268435456 bytes
sending 'recovery' (8394 KB)...
Without stock recovery, I can't flash the Root.zip file to get root access.

yes i know when you flash this rom you will lose your root.
and why are you flashing it in fastboot mode ?
this rom is flashable in stock recovery only dont do that.

I meant, I lost the stock recovery as well. SO I was trying to flash the stock recovery image file in fastboot mode as usual. But it gives me error as I mentioned earlier. My phone is connected to PC while I try to flash the recovery image file. I suspected the drivers got erased, but thats not the case.
Only when I install stock recovery, the Root.zip file can be flashed using it ( to root the phone again). Because flashing the zip files from new Cyanogen Recovery is not at all working. Some R/W or backmap/bitmap kind of issue comes when I try to flash using the updated recovery.

I am sorry, I put it in wrong terms.
The CWM recovery (having basic look with text in blue that can be opted only using hardware buttons and not touch) is not shown for me now. The Cyanogen Recovery it shows me now looks new (with Apply Update option that can be opted by touch as well). THis new recovery fails whenever I try to flash any zip with it. The error being R/W error or something.
With the old recovery (CWM recovery) I could/did flash the Root.zip. After flashing this full ROM (having the patch), the old recovery is lost. It shows only the new recovery. And with it the Root.zip can not be flashed as it fails, as I mentioned earlier.
May be I will get you screenshots of the new Cyanogen recovery to explain what I mean.

New Cyanogen Recovery:

Boot loop, mmx logo, recovery logo and restart

I have TWRP in my A310. Flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/a310/development/resurrection-remix-lp-5-5-t3160496 this rom, dunno which version TWRP I have, so now phone is not starting up.
Any help will be appreciated, Guys I don't want to take my phone to Service center ppl. They are horrible.
Phone is turning on, trying to boot - failing - restarting - trying to enter recovery as a TWRP logo shows up then screen flickers and nothing happens and this keeps going on. TWRP also tries to open MTP but that fails too.
Dosen't stay in Bootloader - fastboot as well, restarts.
Are you able to go to recovery?
Do you have a backup of previous rom? If you have it, try flashing stock rom using ygdp tool and after that restore the backup.
Thanks for quick reply

Try YGDP and flash stock and then restore the backup if available.
When you flash the stock rom it will repalce the twrp also. We can easily install twrp through ygdp. Follow the steps.
1. Select your .cpb file and apply
2. YGDP will unzip the cpb file, path may be C:\YLXZGJ\YGDP\DownFiles\8297W (in my system this is the path, please check after unzipping)
3. Check the unzipped folder contents
4. There will be a file named recovery.img
5. Delete the recovery.img file
6. Copy your twrp recovery to the unzipped folder and rename it to recovery.img
7. Click on start button
8. Remove battery from your phone and connect it to the usb
9. It will detect your phone and start flashing
10. Wait for flashing finishes to 100 %
11. Done. Disconnect phone. You flashed stock rom with twrp recovery
12. Copy the backup to memory card and insert it in phone
12. Insert battery and press power button and volume up key, go to twrp recovery, restore your backup and enjoy

How to Flash stock rom on my Micromax A114

Hi…
Every time I reboot my phone, it shows errors like ‘bluetooth has stopped’
'voice command has stopped'
‘com.android.phone has stopped’ etc etc..
I can’t even unlock my lock screeen because of these errors..
I tried recovery options, cleared cache and data and factory reset option..
but still nothing happened
Do i have to flash custom rom to use my phone again?
I don't care about the data/apps or any rom..
I just need my phone working by any means..
My micromax a114 was rooted..
please provide me steps to deal with this situation keeping in mind that I can only use my phone in recovery option
can’t open playstore to download mobile uncle tool or anything
please help
Yes flash it again or flash your original rom then re download the custom rom and then flash it again
---------- Post added at 09:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:29 AM ----------
Download original rom on sd card from pc then put sd card in mobile then flash that rom (clear cash,etc etc)...then start your mobile errors should stop now then re-download your custom rom and flash it....if still it shows errors then don't use that rom
