[SOLVED] Forgot Device Password - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Update: Tried the latest Flashtool, worked like a charm.
Gues making a new thread wasn't necessary. xD
Hello everyone.
I have an Xperia X10i laying, not mine, my sister's actually and I want to use it again, the problem is that she forgot the password she set on it few years ago.
Is it possible to bypass the password via flashing? I have never owned a Sony smartphone so I have no idea how it's done.
EDIT: Did the homework, Flashtool detects my device as X10i - CB511PP34A - 1233-7025_R2C - 1227-4612_2.1.A.0.435 - WORLD-1-4-8_3.0.1.G.0.75. But would it be possible to flash a stock image on a totally stock device? (Totally stock as in locked and not rooted)
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

[Q] How to update rooted SK17i to stock 2.3.4 with unlocked bootloader?

Hi everyone. I've got this problem which i can't solve (nor find the solution on the net).
I have a rooted mini pro with stock 2.3.3. I've unlocked bootloader through sony ericsson website and verificated my IMEI number there. Then i've rooted my mini pro - and kept stock 2.3.3.
The 2.3.4 update is out now (PC Companion says that too), but windows keeps failing to install the MTP USB drivers when i try to connect in this mode according to guide in PC Companion. I gave up trying to update firmware this way after lots of attempts.
So i decided to try update by SEUS. When i connected in recovery mode, SEUS said that software in my device was changed and thus cannot be updated. I really don't know what to do now. I'm afraid that SE blocked updates to my IMEI number as i unlocked the bootloader, but i'm just guessing.
The question is:
Does someone know how to update my mini pro to stock 2.3.4? Is there any way to lock bootloader back as it was and get SE to know that i'm a nice guy again?
Thank you very very much for any help! I'm starting to be desperate about this.
Adam
try with http://www.wotanserver.com or use flash tool or find someone who has setool...

[Q] Flashtool - Device connected in flash mode only 10 sec (SE logo brick)

I kind of brick my Xperia x10 (I know it's not called brick). I did root, install xRecovery and after that went straight away to install a new custom ROM. When I reboot the x10 just got blocked with the SE logo.
I tried SEUS, and didn't work saying that I've got the last update. I'm trying flashtool now, but my problem is, that now after 10 seconds it changes from flash mode to SE logo, and I can't do anything else...
Please, I really need help, I'm totally a noobie
This is the log from Flashtool:
11/059/2012 17:59:42 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
11/000/2012 18:00:03 - INFO - Device disconnected
11/000/2012 18:00:03 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
I took the risk to try to flash a ftf file in those 10 seconds and it DID work!!!
Bless it. So, I'm gonna try to carry on with the other guides. Anyway, if you have any advice it'll very much appreciated
Which version of flash tool have you used for this? This was a bug in on of the versions in the recent past that seems to have been fixed now.
Also, which Rom were you trying to install? (not related to your problem, just asking )
The Flashtool is ver. 0.6.7.0 running on Windows 7 64 bits.
I just installed the firmware Sony Ericsson X10i_2.1.A.435_GLOBAL-GGL GENERIC 1232-9897.
Trying to follow this guide now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343 but it appears a camera with an arrow when I'm installing the xRecovery 0.3...
I was thinking to install the ThGo2's ROM because I read good reviews about it, especially about the battery life...
Any recommendation?
I have mostly stuck to stock-based ROMs. I haven't used ThGo2 ROM long enough to give an informed opinion. Right now I am using Wolfbreaks ROM with DoomKernel. The camera is somewhat crippled in the CM/MIUI roms but otherwise you could have a look at those also.

[Q] Recovery

Guys, hi.
I'm beat, I admit it, the jig is up and I'm all out. I've done every possible thing to my phone and nothing helps.
I want to flash CWM7, right? I have the stock 2.1 and working root (that I know for sure). I also have Flashtool and Android SDK on my computer.
What I DON'T have, however, is a way to get into recovery and from there flash ROMs. CWM Recovery doesn't exist for my phone (Xperia X10 Mini Pro), so I got this thing (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106146), copied the chargemon and recovery.tar into my system folder, set the permissions to all enabled, turned off my phone, turned it back on and spammed the back key -> nothing. On another try I long-pressed the back-key -> nothing. On another I installed Rom Manager and selected Boot into Recovery. The phone just restarted.
I THINK, but I'm not sure, that to use recovery, I have to have my bootloader unlocked, is that correct? For that I used this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225) which I must say is extremely confusing - essentially, what I did was that I got msm7227_semc.cmd from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17384177&postcount=3) and run that -that seemed to work fine and returned no errors, on my pc.
I can't ascertain whether I ACTUALLY have bootloader unlocked, because that (from what I read in the guide) requires Gordon's Gate and S1tool - S1tool alone doesn't work for me (does nothing) and my Flashtool installation doesn't have Gordon's Gate in it.
So, I don't even know anymore. What the heck am I doing wrong, how can I boot into recovery? It used to be so easy when I had the HTC Desire
Thanks, all. It would be really appreciated if you could give me any help, because I spent hours on this and have had no success despite following all the neat guides and stuff
Angelic out
When i was in Stock Android, I had taken xRecovery to flash my first ROM (MiniCm7pro V21)
After the ROM was flashed I had CWM already preinstalled
Hopefully this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=950324) may help you

[Q] X10 mini pro stuck on SE screen

Hello guys,
I´m new here, and before everyone starts throwing stones on me , I´ve already tried some steps and got stuck (the welcome video is awesome! hehe).
Well, I tried to update my android on my phone, and after the reboot, got stuck on sony ericsson title screen.
1. I searched over the internet same issues, and i got this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602489 .
2. I followed Someguyfromhell indications at this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792
3. I got the flash tool , PC companion, base drivers, and the ftf file for flashing.
4.After install flash tool, selected the ftf file, and got this message :
05/019/2012 14:19:47 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
I think the rom file is not compatible with my phone (2010 production date).
I tried to find other ftf files, without success.
Anyone can help me with that?
Thanks in advance
Use the repair option in PC Companion to restore your stock firmware if at all possible.
After that, you can tell us how you tried to update the android on your phone, like: what did you want to update it to, which rom did you choose, what steps did you take...
By the way... the links you provided were for 2011 devices, Experia Mini and Mini Pro
the 2010 devices are Experia x10 mini and x10 mini pro. Different hardware altogether, I know it's confusing but please be careful where you choose your new software from
Don't feel too bad though, we've all made mistakes, just try to be a bit specific as to what you did first that made your phone get stuck, we can go from there.
well
Hello Guys,
After a loong search i found one ROM who fits with my cellphone - kind of old one.
I followed the steps on flashtool and "recovered". Sometimes it acts strange : if I turn off, it's very difficult to turn on in normal ways.. i need to plug on usb or re-flash... and if I switch the sim card, sometimes works, sometimes not...
Now its stable, but I think something is wrong.
and i got this information about my current version status :
Model : U20i
Firmware Version : 1.6
Kernel : 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
Compilation Number : 1.1.A.0.8
Is there any possibility to upgrade my android version?
use the upgrade option in PC Companion
Again... what rom did you download, what steps did you take.. be specific when you ask questions, and please, let us know if you tried the advice given when you ask a question

are you have try use SEUS new version to get SE original rom+kernel , its work to me when i downgrade my E10i from MiniCM9 to SE original stock.
if you want to upgrade your phone to android 2.3 you can try MiniCM7 for U20i or for MiniCM9 for android 4.0.4.
I already try used MiniCM7 and MiniCM9 with nAa kernel, and its work fine to my E10i.
Help
i have the same problem i try to install MiniCM9 and it get stuck what should i do?

Where do you get stuck? What steps did you take? Give us some information to work with, otherwise no one can help you.
What device do you have?
Did you install the proper kernel?
What does your phone do when you turn it on after flashing?

xperia x10 mini pro u20i
Hello i also have a x10 mini pro.
first rooted it with superoneclick.
then i unlocked the bootloader via cmd. with these programs :s1tool i got via youtube a video and the programs msm7227_setool2 and msm7227_semc.
then copied the cm-11-20140320-NIGHTLY-LegacyXperia-mango to my phone sd card.
and the gapps-kk-20150412-minimal-edition-signed.
after that i installed this cwm : CWMInstaller-Windows-v5. that i got from here:
Links:
Original X10 Mini CWM Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105745
Original X10 Mini Pro CWM Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106146
then i used flashtool at least i tryed to fastboot. but i couldent seem to get my phone in fastboot mode only flashmode.
and i dident see the option reboot into fastboot mode (via abd) but now i do see it.
so i dident flash ore fastboot the x10 mini pro u20i. i just restarted it in cwm and started to delete the davik and factory reset. then i got in mounts and storage and formated all i could format. becouse on a previous phone i had the galaxy s2 i did the same and i could do a clean install on that phone. but on this x10 mini pro after i did all this. i tought instead of installing the roms via cwm. i rebooted the system.
and now its stuck at the sony ericsson name and wont go in cwm. only flashmode works. also i tried xperia companion.
at the pc companion i got this error after entering flashmode and trying to repair it:
Software repair error

Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact Sony support.
Error code: UEGetPhoneInfoMissingInfo
U20i 0123 1237-9318 R2B 2.1.1.A.0.6
then with the flashtool i tryed to reset it to a official rom witch i downloaded named : U20i_2.1.1.A.0.6_X10 Mini Pro_2.1-upd1-ITA
so i go in flashmode also and got this error :

and this is how far it goes. i can leave it all day like this but nothing happends. after trying to flash this rom : U20i_2.1.1.A.0.6_X10 Mini Pro_2.1-upd1-ITA
so all the phone dous now is be stuck in sony ericsson screen.
cant enter cwm.
flashing dousent work.
repairing with offical xperia companion dousent work.
cant enter fastboot mode.
can enter flashmode.
and thats about it....
if anyone have a solution for my problem i would love to hear it! becouse i cant seem to find a way out of this to get my phone back working again!
