Have a V10. When screen is on, what is the volume down key supposed to do? When I press it, the volume does not turn down. Instead, it launches the recent apps rolodex. Is this normal? Volume up key does turn up volume, and when the phone is locked with screen off, quick shortcut for volume down does work and launches the camera.
Is it normal for the volume down key to not affect the volume when the screen is on?

Fixed. Was an accessibility setting. Thanks for reading

Hi. Is there a way to turn the torch on and off using the phone's power button? I've tried several torch apps but the torch just stays on when the power button is pressed.

I can do this with my nexus 5 using Power Torch:

So, for the past few days, I've had to push the power button three times to turn the screen on. Yesterday it completely stopped working, and had to use a Viper tweak to use volume buttons as power button. Late last night it has been working so-so. Aby ideas?

This is more of a workaround than a fix, but MeanBean has the option to use the camera button to turn the screen on, to hold the home button to load the advanced power menu, and to hold the back button to turn the screen off. You can get by pretty well without ever using the actual power button.
I asked this in another forum, but haven't been able to resolve the issue. With other phones, holding down the power button and volume down rocker at the same time will force a reboot. When I do that with the Z2, I get a screenshot, but no reset. Someone suggested just holding the power button, but when I do that, all I get are the choices "Power Off", "Airplane Mode" and "Take a Screenshot". Can someone explain how I do a soft reset with the Z2?
Hold down the power button and volume up button until it vibrates 3 times or take the USB flap off and hold the red button

Thanks for the info! I wasn't even aware of the red button.
One thing I find annoying about the Z2 compared to my last HTC is that when I want to turn the volume down to silent I have to fully unlock the phone, by turning it on and swiping, before I can adjust the volume. With my old HTC I just had to push the power button and I could adjust the volume from the lock screen.
Is there a way I could get the Z2 to do this? Maybe an xposed mod?

@kotton666 Well with Z2 I just use the volume rocker even when the screen is off. I just did it just now listing to Metallica with my headphones on:good:
Haven't seen any fixes for this but every time I hit my volume up or down it controls the media volume instead of the intended ringtone volume. This happens when no media player is playing. What could it be? Thanks for your help guys :good:
Hi my volume up key does turn up the ringtone volume as expected but pressing volume down does not turn volume down. It launches recent apps rolodex. Can you confirm?
