The battery graph can't display on one screen afik. Perhaps someone knows how to shrink the graph so that one does not have to scroll 2-4 screens' worth to see what the battery has done?
Not seeing why this would be needed?

Other than installing another app which will probably drain battery i don't think maybe when root is available and we can use xposed then maybe there is a module

Well, as said, don't want to scroll through many screens to see battery graph. Very hard to get a sense of what has been happening to battery with this requirement. EVERY android device I've ever seen has a single screen with the battery graph. Even the G4 used the android standard. Sheesh.
Was hoping someone would say, eg, oh, slide the foozits slider in settings/lg/randombs.

Well, it's really.. to be realistic, inconsequential. Your looking for a saving of literally a few seconds scrolling a screen?

I am new to Android, so please dont crucify me here... I come from a windows phone, and very much like the taskbar battery indicator. Small bar indicator that spans the entire width of the screen. I am just curious if there is anything similar for droid, ultimately on the nook?
I have been looking through the forum, but haven't come up with anything yet.
Thanks.

You can change the battery icon by editing framework.apk but youd be better off using something like metamorph.. altho i havent been able to get it to work for me...

Until someone releases a 1% battery mod, there's not much of a need for this. The nook only supports 25% battery increments.

What? My nook shows every percent go by. I use SimiClock now, but other clocks have worked the same. 1-100%, every percent.
And to the OP, it is possible to do what you are talking about on many android devices, but I have yet to see/hear about it working on the nook.

You are correct about an app being able to read at 1% increments. The task bar, however, does not. It reads at 25% increments. Basically, it would depend on how someone implemented the mod.

Also check out "Gauge Battery Widget" in the Market...besides a cool-looking widget, it also can put a colored battery icon in the taskbar with 1-100% readings.

search on market for "Circular Battery Indicator"
If you or anyone else wants to get PHENOMENAL battery life of let's say 15 hours of use and still have 40%-50% battery left on a regular stock battery on the Rezound, just follow these steps:
1. Go to Settings - Power - Power mode Choose "Economy"
2. Back at Power options, Click on "Economy mode setting" I left the setting as "Normal" which means that the only box that was unchecked was "Disable background data"
3. Back at Settings, Click on "Accounts & sync" Uncheck the "Auto-Sync" box, but leave the "Background data" box checked.
4. Using whatever Screen Brightness tool you want to, set the screen brightness to no more than 20%. The only exception to this is if you are out in the sun and really need to see your screen while in the sun (navigation or etc...). Other than that, I never need it to be brighter than 20%.
5. Because of these changes, you will have to manually "Refresh" your email app to check for new mail. Other than that, everything data wise should work as normal.
I always have my 4G LTE and GPS on and ever since I did this, I have been getting RIDICULOUS battery life! This best it has been is when I charged it completely and unplugged it at 10pm and the next day around 1pm I still had 62% battery left. On a normal basis where I take it off the charger at 8am, with normal use (3 hrs of music, 1 or 2 of web surfing and video watching, 1 hour of phone calls, and Google Talk and Google Voice and GMail all day *literally*) I have about 50% battery left at 7pm.
Disclaimer: I have "Bump Charged" my battery before making these changes. However, I never saw this type of battery life until I made the above changes. Also, if you constantly watch video (Youtube or etc..) you will not see quite this performance, but it will still be much better than what you are currently experiencing.
Enjoy
Turn off data and you can get multiple days on battery
Screen Filter
You can also use the app Screen Filter to turn off the bottom row of leds.

So you have an extended battery then? If so, might be good to include that info in your post just to be clear. Not that that wouldn't help any battery, but the stats will make more sense and the answers to your poll may be more accurate since people might think their results aren't as good as yours if they're using a regular battery.
I'll change my settings and try it since I don't need instant notification of emails atm. Thanks for the tip.
When I change the power setting to Economy, I lose 4G.
I am eager to try this, but I gotta have my 4G. Any suggestions??

You can bump charge the normal battery as well.
So what exactly do the power modes do? Are they just presets for certain settings? or do they control CPU scaling or anything else? I've always just left mine on normal with auto sleep enabled
Edit: I also wonder what affect the "auto start task manager on startup" option does exactly, and if having that on improves battery life, or if it is referring to the task manager in the notification bar quick settings

I used that app for quite sometime on my Incredible when I ran a sense rom (cm7 allowed me to set the buttons leds off on its own).
Fyi though, when screen filter is active, I am unable to install an app. When you go to install an app, and you are on the screen that shows the permissions with the install button on the lower right, I have been unable to click the install button with screen filter running. I just run screen filter again to deactivate it and the install goes fine, then I just run screen filter again to get it running again.
It's a hassle, but a small price to pay to get those led's off if you dont want / need them.

I am curious about this as well... I know the kernel supports multiple governors for CPU scaling.
I am also not sure what the task manager is that it refers to. It might just start the app in the background.

Tap the graph and it shows a bar that shows signal strength over time. That would help to figure it out.
I just use the extended battery and have everything set to high performance and can easily get though the day. Good tips though.

I know we can use widgets or change the status bar one with UOT, but it seems ludicrous to imagine such a simple feature hasn't become standard. Is there some patent troll that is keeping devices from having the battery percentage in the system bar? I see no other legitimate reason.

That is a really good question actually. You have me wondering the same thing now. I know on my girlfriend's iPhone 4s she can set her battery display to show a percentage. I wonder if Apple has a patent on that for smart phones ...ridiculous if they do.

I have an answer which you might find interesting...
I was testing a custom rom, which had a lot of users complaining and incessantly whining about "battery drain"...
But I never felt any such drain...
We were actually surprised that, users had their battery percentages "drain" from 100 to 60 in 4 hours (they used batt %), after which they charged their phone...
I, on the other hand, didn't take notice of the battery step (present in the stock icon)...
I used to charge my phone after 10 hours with around 10% batt left...
I then asked another fellow user to use stock batt icon, rather than the % icon...
And miraculously, his battery drain was minimized...(by just changing a damned icon)...same confirmed with a few others...
So we could conclude that, the battery drain was happening due to the % icon, and used to vanish/minimize when using the stock icon...
Hence, it was attributed to a placebo effect...
You thought that battery was draining because the numbers between 1 - 100 are going down...while the stock icon ignores battery movement lesser than 10%...
It isn't anything other than your mind telling you that battery is going down...
I do not know the "official" reason why it never made it to stock android...
But if you are willing, just try it out...
Without changing your daily usage and apps, spend a few days with the stock icon, and then a few days with the % icon...
The result, still might be really subjective, but well, this is what I could find...

Yap... some months ago eard something quiet similar to this state...
a guy postet that he installed an battery widget from the play store
after a while he had big problems because his battery was gettin empty very fast
so one other guy told him to look under settings in the battery context menu wich were his biggest battery drainers
and who could have imagined this on top was the battery widget
after he unsinstalled the widget his problems were vanished
so guys
accept that u have a battery without percentage but a battery drain in a size where u cant watch the amount of battery power percentage falling from one second to the other
so please accept it
No, I never used a batt widget...
There was option to have either % icon, or the stock one, baked into the rom itself...
So there wasn't any battery drain related to rogue apps...

it is most probably an app which is causing this. just look at the image u attached. see the "Awake" bar and "Screen on" bar at the end. your phone was awake even when the screen was off for quite a while....both the Awake and Screen on bars should be very similar...else it implies an app is running in the background when the screen is off !!

That tells us very little. Please show processor speed charts, screen on time, and deep sleep percentage. That will allow people to get an idea of your usage. If that time included a couple hours of gaming I'd say you're doing fine. If it was complete idle, you have a rogue app.

Sorry guys.
I'm still somewhat .... new to all of the stats. I try to read as much as I can but got a few babies running around so it makes it a little difficult.
Although when I took the screenshot I was only in one bar, but all day I was out in graduation for my daughter. It was pretty hot outside which was frying my phone as well as my face four about 3 hours.
I am on first flash for the ROM. I was trying to personalize everything in regards to aesthetics and my phone was just majorly over heating. I went from 60% to about 30% in about 20 minutes.
I guess I can toss all apps and take it one at a time.
Thanks for chiming in tho. I do appreciate any help I can get
