Turn on vibration with audio as well? Certain AOSP roms (at least cm7) allow you to boost up the decibel output, but it tends to sound distorted.

Be very careful doing this, these speakers aren't meant to be super loud. The speaker may blow itself out.
volume+ app if u using gingerbread
CM7 has options to increase decibel levels of ringer, notification and alarm.

I've had the same issue with the current CM7 rom I am using with netflix and VPlayer... On the other hand the ringtones seem to be super loud..

Volume Booster? Not media

I"m looking for a volume booster that will make ring tones and the like louder, not the music (that's plenty loud)...but I guess I have a hard time hearing and it seems like text/ring/notification/email tones are all very quiet, even with the volume turned all the way up.
Anyone? Also running ICS.
I think there's LITERALLY an app called, "volume booster" XD check it out man!

Dsp manager has a speaker setting. Download and install apk here and thank boost if it's what you're looking for.

I thought it was only me having that issue. I have a new Motorola elite and the Jawbone era and I can barely hear the ring notification on my headsets. When I answer everything is loud and clear. I'll try the DSP apk as well and I'll post something if I find a fix. It's the same whether I'm on ICS or any of the collective roms.

Volume + is the best period.... The free version is great and it lets you raise the level of sound using +1,2,3,4 level +3 is plenty loud for me... Try it and you wont be disappointed... Remember its volume (plus sign) +.... Enjoy!!!!

Just curious did you root your phone or alter the ROM? On the free version it gives a warning not to download if you are using a stock rom or Kernel. I am stock just wanted to make sure.

Does it increase the in-call volume when using the handset? If so, how did you do it? I can't get it to increase mine.
Can't get it to increase anything, and I did make it the main volume control app.

I've never tried to make the call volume any higher to be honest,..though I know it has options to set up a higher in call level setting....seems like it adds something to the build prop so I never tried...lol...

[Q] How to increase speaker volume??

I find the volume is too soft/low when the phone is switched to a speaker mode. Anyone knows how to change it ? the System and Ring volume bar is already at max.
Xloud or volume+ have no effect.
So question is to know where to modify internal setting.
I already seen some words about a possible trick (may be in gagan rom?) but i can't get it back with search tool.
Ringtone and incall speaker volume is definitivly to low when outdoor!!
thanks for your help

OK you got the point! THE kernel is the culprit. I fully understand why I found only one time a good setting because at almost every rom a different kernel is or offered or required to install with....
Now I have to try remembering what I have done in the past months!
If somebody or some kernel expert know solution, they are welcome
Thanks again

Defective speaker

Hi guys, today I just bought a used Sony Z2, and unfortunately the bottom speaker makes some cracking and popping noises when the music is loud.
Can I change something like a balance in the phone settings so when I listen something (YouTube, music, ringtone) on the speakers the bottom speaker recives lower decibels, so I won't hear those cracking noises, while the upper speaker works at full potential?
Help would be much appreciated.
PS: for headphones I would like the balance to remain untouched.
THANKS.

I'm flashing it as we speak.
LE: nope, still that cracking noise. If i let the volume around 60% everything is fine, if I rise it higher, that sound comes from the bottom speaker. I need to find a way to reduce just the bottom speaker volume, while using the full capacity of the top one.

If you could just tell me which values should be moddified in mixer_paths.xml for volume I would do it myself, especially because I don't know how much I should decrease the bottoms speaker volume to sound good.

Its need to change in these four files.
go to system / etc / tfa98xx
and find these four files
1- HiFiSpeakerRing_btm.eq
2- HiFiSpeakerRing_btm.preset
3- HiFiSpeakerRing_top.eq
4- HiFiSpeakerRing_top.preset
And you also need to change so much values in mixer_paths.xml can't tell right now i did not test them.
Or
In xperia Z2 forum there is one great developer name niaboc79 He is master in this field. you can ask him also.

what can I use to open and edit the .eq and .preset files?
@zohaib0001
hei, I tried to play with various values from the mixer_pathx.xml, but nothing seems to work.
I changed my mind and I thought that if its possible to rise up the volume, it should be possible to lower it down right?
so, could you point me which lines from mixer_paths.xml determine the volume for the external speakers in all situations (ringtone, playback, speakerphone) so I could lower thrm down, so I won't have any problem at high volume.
Thank you!

Same here, max volume on this phone is really low. Volume booster apps are able to increase it, but it's not a convenient way to do it and sound is bad, and I have absolutely no trust in this kind of app.
Tried modding mixer path like OP with no success so far.

Ok
No luck either. Tried Viper4Android, maxing Gain in the Speaker tab, no effect. Something is wrong, there must be somewhere a setting that overrides the standard Android volume control...
Yea.. Seems like no one will help us with this problem..any way i will made a thread.. That will work for sure..

I made this thread today.. I think îs the only way to increase the speaker. ? Must see and tell me your opinion
I teste it for a month.. And I posted this question to see if anyone got something.. So if no one got something.. I made my own thread about it

It s hard to find one, due to compatibility with android 10.. And stock rom miui.. I made a thread that is more simple and no kernel required. I installed some kernels result in boot loop ? so there is no way to try again ?
