It means that we are one step closer to unlocking the bootloader and being like the T-Mobile variant of our phones!
I am on rooted 11B, so no not MM just on LP.
Very cool.
why in the hell is this thread not a hot topic?? Awesome job @alvinator94. The second part to this is getting the OEM Unlock option to show in the Development Settings in the phone. Someone did this but I think it was on the closed 99 page thread. I'll have to search for it

Could be a good thing. Surely can't hurt to explore this phone more.

I couldn't get it to stick either. After reboot it's gone so I doubt it did anything.

FIRST you get someone to unlock the bootloader. Then you hit the checkbox.
This is equivalent to finding the locked door. You still need the key.

True, but I feel like we have the keyring (now having fastboot) and we just need to find the right key. Not sure I'll be able to look into it tonight but I will first thing tomorrow.
Now that we have fastboot, can we flash a t-mobile v10 twrp (https://github.com/grogg/android_device_lge_pplus) customized for vs990 with the g3 bump script (https://github.com/TeamWin/android_device_lge_vs985) updated for vs990...? I've been trying to self teach myself python and understand what they're doing with the bump script and everything to get twrp accepted, but I just don't understand enough about the actual boot/flash/setup for twrp to adjust the t-mobile twrp and add in the bump script myself.
Or could we use flashfire to flash a bumped twrp...?

Ok, I had my SGII rooted with the ClockworkMod.Tar thru Odin3 and SuperoneClick. I also OC using Odin3 with galaxysii_OC_V1.tar thru Odin3 again and install setcpu..
I ran this unlock, but it never reboot, so I manually rebooted and check using the dail pad (from post here), and it says that I'm still lock.. I try it a second time and it did not work either..
Any Help will be appricated.. Also, my back button also does not work anymore. My Home button now acts as a back button.. anyone have this problem??

I am in no way, shape, or form held responsible if you brick your phone from this fix.
Well, i finally have something useful for the community!!!
this will take your main version to whatever you want, i took mine down to 1.00.000.0 and it worked!!
I was at 3.whatever ics is, but not anymore!! its fixed!!!
here are the steps
Before you start, disable HTC Sync
1.Connect phone to computer, enable charge mode
2.Open adb cmd and type : adb shell
3.Type su
4. if you get # symbol continue
5.Type : dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p24 of=/sdcard/misc.img (YOU CAN COPY THE IMG TO EITHER sdcard, which is internal memory, or sdcard2, which is removal card)
6. Switch to USB mode
7.copy misc.img from the root of the sdcard to your computer
8.Open misc.img with HeX Editor XVI32
9.Find the version and change it. it will be the first area in the the upper right in the screen of the app
10.change the number in whatever you want. (has to be in the form of.. x.xx.xxx.x
11.Save it and upload it to the root of the sdcard with miscnew.img name
12. Switch to charge mode
13.Type adb shell, su dd if=/sdcard/miscnew.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p24
14.Reboot and you are READY TO ROLL!
Once your done. And you wanna flash the new radio and hboot and all that fun stuff. Do a backup of your Rom http://db.tt/0UfbfrIs click that. Then relock your hboot, then flash that file in hboot and you let it update. then unlock once done installing. Then reflash your recovery.. and restore your Rom and your golden
Feel free to donate if you'd like,
Now that's some good info for everyone. Thanks for posting this. I will ne adding a link to your thread in my Rom threads
spread the word man, it worked liked a charm, got the new radio and everything to load just fine. im happy

I can't find the image within the sdcard for some reason. I see the process when it writes it but its nowhere to be found??
Edit:Nvm found it, turned out I had to be in USB mode.
Before step one like always ( disable htc sync/ in usb/develop mode)
-After step 4 switch to USB mode
-After the 1st 8# (lol) switch back to USB mode lol
some little steps you may add
Edit#2: Very nice, worked out well, though instructions can include a little more detail, but all-in-all good find Mainver 1.00.000.0 lol. Now I'm back in business again and start flashing again.
Posting this in a few threads... Great job!
Remember that sdcard is actually the internal sd, sdcard2 is for external

I don't know exactly what you mean by "flashed." Did you flash a ROM? Did you root the phone? It'd help if we know what you're actually running. I've never seen the hands-free activation prompt, but I'm running Freeza's rom, so it might have already been disabled.
Anyways, if it's a notification popup, the easiest way is to just disable notifications for that app/process.
Below is the way I've hidden notifications on my phone.
Long-press the notification until the following option pops up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then, just uncheck the "show notifications" box.
Hope this helps!
Sorry for not making it clear . Actually it's been flashed to prepaid and everything is working well . But still upon every reboot that hfa thingy keeps annoying . The trick isn't working in this case as that option to uncheck the Prompt is grayed out . I wish to know which apk does this so that I can rename or delete that.

Are you rooted or on a custom ROM? Do you have XPosed? There is a module called NotifyClean. I personally have never used it, but it looks like it works and it will most-likely do what you are looking for.

Did you look into the XPosed Module that I linked to earlier? I believe it may help you.
Cool - If you get to get rid of it - Do update - Thanks in Advance. I am just wondering if we remove it using Titanium will it affect other files in the phone or would be good to go - That would stop it for sure I know that. If I will try I will update too.
Cheers !!

"some kind of root app"
Step one to working towards a solution is to desceibe the issue in as much detail as possible. This would include the applications name that broke your tablet as well as the make and model of tablet you have. And whatever (if any) additional tweaks or mods it might have. Also, anything you have already tried to fix it.
This does not include screaming at it or asking it to "please fix itself"

App name: ROEHSOFT ram expander
Tablet: Nova Dream(not widely known so you might not know it)
No tweaks no mods
Problem: the entire line cannot be touched, making it hard for me to type the letter 'o', 'k' and other parallel letters on the keyboard.
BTW, the unresponsive part of my tablet is the entire lane between the two dots.

How to fix com.android.phone error
Code:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE SMART COVER INSTALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Download and install [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53618487&postcount=3"]XPOSED G3 Tweakbox[/URL] and [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811"]XPOSED Framework for lollipop[/URL]
Buy a copy of XPOSED G3 Tweakbox via the app
Download a root explorer with a root text editor I use Root Browser and download Titanium Backup
Use the root explorer to edit your build.prop, scroll down until you see this line: ro.build.target_operator=SPR change "SPR" to: GLOBAL and then save
Use titanium backup to uninstall the LG text message app and find a alternative (I use textra)
Reboot
Go into XPOSED G3 Tweakbox and click "Theme Tweaks" then toggle "Enable Theme mod"
Next click "Status Bar" and scroll down
Now tap on "Change wifi icon set" and set the type you want ( I use "OPEN") then press "CANCEL"
Now tap on "Change signal icon set" and set the type you want ( I use "OPEN (5 BAR)") then press "CANCEL"
Now tap on "Change data icon set" and set the type you want ( I use "VZW") then press "CANCEL"
Reboot
BOOM! No more com.android.phone popups- Note that the data enable/disable icon will not work.... That I cannot do anything about!
WIFI issue fix:
Code:
Go into settings and click "WI-FI"
Once in the "WI-FI" settings click the three dot menu (upper right hand corner)
Then click "Advanced WI-FI"
Scroll down and uncheck "WI-FI signal weak"
Then uncheck "Switch to mobile data"
Reboot

Reflash twrp and download from the server nearest to you. The flashing errors are coming from AFH sometimes downloads fail with them.

It was a bad upload, hence the 70mbs :silly: I am re uploading it now everyone, see if that fixes it. I also added a back up link try that if AFH does not work.
