Lg v10 h901 cpu overheating problems - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My lg v10 overheats when playing games or using it for a long time. My cpu temps get up to 115°F and keep increasing. Is there any fix for this? I also close all my apps and make sure they are not running. Is anyone else having this problem? I am rooted and have twrp recovery installed. I saw a post about the g3 overheating to and the solution was to put thermal paste on the cpu. I don't know if I would need to do that with my lg v10.

Ummm, yeah... Between 140° & 160°F is normal under gaming load... Around 185°F is over heating... If you want to fix 115° Temps I would suggest turn off the phone, or sticking it in the freezer... Lmao, hell, if you stick it in your pocket it going to be at least 100... Just for your body heat... Just a suggestion, use Google for this next time

[U, (possibly all novathor) ] [Q] Processor min/max freq goes to 1000MHz by itself

So I noticed both on stock and CM versions of the OS for our phones, whenever the phone becomes unusable is when it changes the min and max freq to 1000MHz.
Where and why does it do that? I mean whenever I force the phone to get back to stock (min 200, max 1000 MHz) it returns to work as it's intended. Can some of the devs explain me a little more?

It doesn't happen only in the app. Whenever you run more apps the phone does that.
It happens a lot on Stock ICS and JB, and in CM9. Haven't tried other roms for long term, only for testing features.
This is again at the time when the phone was unstable.
It's a problem in the kernel source. Wait till 3.4 kernel is released.

Swear O'Clock for Android Wear??

Hello. I have just purchased today a LG G Watch after my Gear 1 died, and I really wanted to use the Swear O'Clock watch face (the one copied from Pebble, seen it on 9gag, looks awesome), but I am unable to find it. Can someone please point it out? I've been able to find something similar as a watch face regarding weather, but the clock itself was far more important to me than the weather. Please help guys, I don't mind if the app is not free, I'll buy it, I just really wanna have it
I made a Facer face ill post later

The white text is the only thing that shows when the display is dim, rest appears when it is awake.
Time shows when cards come up on the screen if you have preview enabled, and charge/cloud icons appear above the time and do not get jumbled in it.
Single digit minutes show up as "o' six" so it dont look odd.
Thank youuuuuuuuu

I'm also currently making a standalone watchface for Android Wear with the same concept. I'll let you know as soon as it's released on Google Play.

Overheating in car

It happened already three times that while traveling in a car with my new Samsung S6 Edge suddenly without using it overheats beyond measure , I could cook an egg . The device was placed in a place not hot but my car was hot . I had to turn off the phone to allow it to cool down and now today I have begun to turn the device off if the temperature by car and the car is above 30 degrees celsius . Has anyone similar experiences ? Otherwise the phone will not accuse any problems and will not overheat never out of the car .
Not sure if my car ever gets to 30 degrees Celsius in the UK but at about 23c on an old 2 amp charger running bluetooth GPS and waze navigator. mine seems cold when removed from the car .
Admittedly the air con is running full blast and my main reference my old s4 which ran extremely hot in the same circumstances.
Sorry I don't seem to be much help but may be it's a dud unit or may be it's hotter under the screen.
Mine did overheat while taking pictures and couldn't use flash..

And yesterday after 10 minutes in call with the screen on the same!

Very poor battery life after upgrading to 6.0.1 GPI1

Was ok but not great.
Now after the upgrade, it lasts about 8 hours without heavy usage.
Android OS 12%
Android System 8%
Screen 6%
What could be draining the battery?
Thanks
Do a full wipe.
Just the cache?
You can try just the cache first, but I doubt it'll work. The two things that usually cause battery issues are firstly an app, and secondly updating system applications without wiping data. If you want to be sure, backup all your user apps with their data, wipe /data, then restore the apps.

I should add that I also had a temporary battery eating problem on GPI1 which was resolved with a reboot, I don't know what the cause was. Since then it's been fine and is just as good on battery as the previous MM versions. I've also recently installed the Imperious Curse kernel which seems to be marginally better on battery (I took 25mv off the cpu voltage table) but appears to be causing intermittent performance issues.
Me too ?

try toggling the battery saver modes, it's as if the cpu is not downclocking to idle & i saw some weird situations in kernel audiator when i was underclocking where certain settings wouldnt stick until i toggled

Question problem of thermal control

I find that when tempreture reach some limits, some cores will be deactivated by system automatically, it will even deactivate the super core and two bigger cores which makes my device too stuck to scan a QR code. How can I prevent this? I already disabled the system app thermal control.

This is my log of LOLm. You can see my super core was deactivated. I rooted my device, running with Uperf performance mode and AsoulOpt (https://github.com/nakixii/Magisk_AsoulOpt)
