I tried CyanogenMod on my Oneplus X. I did a backup in twrp before flashing CyanogenMod
Now when I try to restore I get errors and cannot restore
First I get this:
E: unable to locate partition by backup name efs1
E: unable to locate partition by backup name efs2
And then I get this:
E: Cannot restore System -- mounted read only.
Any idea how to fix this. I really like to restore to Stock ROM

I was recently doing a restore when I realized I restored the wrong backup file with aman recovery. When I booted back into recovery and tried restoring the proper backup file I get an error saying "E: Can't mount SDCARD: /nandroid/".
What should I do to fix this?

Can't Restore from Nandroid --- Damn u r so ****ed.
Is it possible to make UPDATE.zip (Stock Rom of XOLO Q700) from NANDROID.
Thats the only way i see to restore your phone or a custom rom will do the trick but there isn't any rom available at present.
By the way what is the error you get when tryin to restore from nandroid.

Tried to load q800 rom. Ok did it say installation complete or some error again. If installation was completed but phone is dead then---
Try to install recovery for q800 may be that'll work.
As you don't need to turn on ur phone for installing recovery(at least for q700 ) u dont.
Now if recovery is installed then try to use that nandroid backup of q700.
BUT FOR THIS TO WORK RECOVERY FOR Q800 must work.
So keep ur fingers crossed and try it.
rename the backup to "nandroid.md5" it worked for me one time...
My i9300 got stuck in boot screen after I activated Link2sd with a newly repartitioned extsd. I made the first partition FAT32, the second EXT4.
I've got a cwm backup from before I repartitioned ext.sd
I've also got a 'efs.tar.gz file', which I found in the copy of my ext.sd. I assume this is a backup of efs/imei?
Before each operation I've done since I've wiped dalvic cache, wiped cache partition and factory reset.
I repartitioned my ext.sd to one FAT32 partition.
I have tried to restore my cwm backup, everything looked good, but when rebooting the problem was still there.
I flashed a couple of different roms and kernels, they seemed successful, the boot screen changed as expected, problem still there.
Then flashed 'CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300' with Odin downloader, got a "PASS", problem not solved.
I can still boot into recovery, which changed to stock as expected, and I can boot into download mode.
I've also tried to boot without any ext.sd or SIM inserted, nothing changed.
The recovery gives me this message:
E:failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
# MANUAL MODE #
---Appling Multi-CSC…
Applied the CSC-code : unknown
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
I take it my /efs is damaged and needs to be restored? Can I restore it from 'efs.tar.gz file' while only being able to enter recovery and download mode? With Odin, or some other software?
I've read someone managed to fix their efs-folder by extracting their efs.tar.gz, and then manually paste the files in place of the efs-folders contents, but then I would need to access my phones internal sd. Is that doable without booting the system?
Couldn't find a solution anywhere, any help is much appreciated!

Hi,
I've installed image "CM11 M12" (cm-11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-i9100), Xposed and then I've encrypted the device.
This works all well.
However, after completion of configuration and installation of other apps, I cannot create a Nandroid backup with CWR v6.0.5.1.
After backup of /system competes, the error message displayed is: Can't mount /data!
This error persists if I try to mount /data manually before starting backup.
I've never faced this issue before, and therefore I assume it is related to the fact that the device is encrypted.
Do you have any idea why Nandroid backup fails?

Hi, yesterday I was using my S2 and I turned it off, then when I turned back I had a bootloop, and restarting in recovery I have error "E: / Failed to mount / efs (invalid argument)." I saw other topics with the same error, but my problem is that it needs adb, but my S2 has a problem with the USB port, so every time I connect it to the PC I have "Unknown USB device" and adb does not recognize it. I flashed a TWRP signed, and I have also file a CWM, then I have two recovery. There is no way to solve only by recovery? I have backup of my EFS folder.
If you have a backup of your efs folder flash aroma file manager and copy the backup of efs folder to /efs
