So, I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a site or someone who is selling vinyl skins for the Redmi Note 3. I ordered one, and since I know how metal phones can be slippery, I'd like to put a skin on it. Something like these guys offer: https://dbrand.com/

Yeah, something like that, but now instead of being a case, that it's vinyl cut to size that you can just apply like a sticker to your phone. And once you get bored of it, you can just peel it off again.

They were available on eBay before the P6800 were even officially released. I got one and it fits very well, but using the Samsung book case now.

I found one today while looking for the same thing myself. Can't post links due to be a new site member, but if you look up on ebay the user 'freebitsuk' you'll be able to get to their store.
They also have it bundled with a screen protector too. Three colors available black, pink & purple.

dont worry about that，quality really good. cant be break easy，and feel nice when you hold it，smooth put on face.
I have the Smasung OEM case and it works beautifully....for me I think covering the screen is more important than covering the aluminium back. The first perceived issue with the OEM case "flap" is really not an issue at all as mine has never flapped open becuase of the way it is carried. In edition, it can be positioned in either landscape or portrait mode. It is a good idea to keep the rubber grip edge on the case clean so it continues to grip any surface. This device is such a beautiful design that I find the Samsung case compliments it very well.

TPU stands for Thermoplastic Polyurethane, it's a different material from silicone.
Generally firmer and has a more rigid structure.
So many of you know the UK Samsung Galaxy Note has a carbon fiber battery door as a option. Unfortunately it does not fit our phone even with modification. I for one would love to see one for our phone so i contacted a company I use to order carbon fiber parts for my car to see if they would be willing to make one. I am currently waiting to see if they would be interested in making one, but we would need to show them that it is something people want and that it would be profitable for them. They may require a certain ammount and we may have to do a sign up list in order for them to agree.
So what do you guys think? Would you buy one?

Most of the users have a case so I dont think theres a lot of interests in replacing the battery door. But users who rock it naked might be interested.

I would totally be down for a real carbon fiber back. Either that or work with them to create a super slim carbon fiber case. I would love to mess around with some carbon fiber for my Note, only I don't have the skills or tools necessary at my disposal. If you work something nice out with them, put me down for one.
What would be totally awesome is if they could make a carbon fiber housing to completely replace the plastic trim. I would drop 150 bucks or more on that, but I know that would be ridiculous to make.

its missing the internal antenna for the NFC and the mounting tabs are in a slightly different location, can still be cut to fit ours most likely tho

Looks good, yes. Doesn't fit. I got one already and it's a no go. I'll be reselling it. I have purchased a couple of non i717 backs from ebay and they will not fit. I don't think they will work properly even with trimming some tabs and I'd rather get the factory fit.
I am looking for a carbon fiber back. Can't find any yet, other than a screenguardz sticky thingy. I wonder what true carbon fiber will do to the antenna signals?

The mounting tabs are in the wrong place for the I717 - I had that cover and not was skilled enough in the modification of the tabs & ended up throwing it out
I'd be interested, but think the NFC thing will kill it.
Still 30 bucks or so, I'd be down.

The inside of the aluminum cover seems to be made of plastic so no need to worry about shocks.

i think the back cover is not effective for protection. its because when your phone drops, you dont know which part will hit the ground first. thus, you still need a case. lol
Either way protection or not from the images it does look ascetically better then what samsung offers.

guys i bought a case like this for my sisters s4 , and i can confirm NFC doesnt work , also it ads bulk and weight to the phone , to the point where i personally didnt like it , it has a plastic case under the aluminum one.
Seemst to me that would get scratched up and look bad fairly quickly. Unless you put a case on it, but it would be pointless to buy if you're going to cover it with a case. I'd also be concerned about what it did to reception.

I saw one on eBay. Imo it looks dumb because your just end up seeing the battery and SIM.

Yabbut, isn't this a case that goes ON the outside of the device over the back cover? I was looking for a transparent back cover. I kind of like the industrial look of someone seeing the back and the battery and the device internals. Hey, some of us are geeky that way.

I'm currently undergoing the issue of having the back peel off my nexus 6 and I've only had it for a week so I don't have another $600.00 for them to place a hold on my account for a replacement. On google+ a guy sent me a link and said these might be wood replacement backs. He said somebody posted a pic of it and said they are actual replacement backs not just skins. These are simply skins that stick over the back, not replacement back panels. If you need a new back panel, they're on ebay with adhesive skin to apply them similar to stock. Goodluck.
Yes you can buy new white and blue back panels from ebay. They are perfect replacements.

If you read the original @slickwraps thread, people have removed the plastic nexus backing, and put the Naturals bamboo skin as a replacement, and it was a perfect fit, but it wasnt meant to be a replacement and not marketed as such. (The Naturals line, both leather and wood, are much thicker than flimsy plastic decals since they are real leather and wood)
I myself own a few of the Slickwraps Naturals products, and I have to say I am impressed with the quality.
I have the dark brown leather as my back and I removed the stock back. It fits 100% perfect and I love it! I also bought a spare OEM back in case I need it. The bamboo might need some sanding to fit flush I haven't tried it with mine yet but if and when I do I'll post some pictures.

Do you have a photo of that? since if you are not using your original back plate the nexus and M letters will look strange?

OK no problem and yes I bought the spare OEM back on eBay from a seller in NJ. The leather is on my phone so I'll take some pictures for you. I just applied some conditioner so it's wet but I have a older picture of when I first installed it that I'll post right now below for you. I'll add new pictures once the constraints l conditioner is done drying. I"aged" the leather because it looks better with some wear on it.

i also bought an extra back from ebay. received it yesterday but the curved part of the letter "u" was not in place. it had come off. i put it back in place no problem but it leads me to think they will come off easy. another thing i noticed is that the ebay one, the "nexus" letters are chrome and the ones that actually come on the phone are silver.
good thing i got the ebay one to play with it. i'm going to end up painting it or something. haven't decided what yet.

The one I bought is fine and identical to my OEM one that I took off my phone. I can post a side by side if you would like. It could be a different supplier for the back or something because most people have had good experiences with the ones from eBay. I'm not saying there aren't bad ones out there but I received a good one.

Hopefully it will still fit fine for you. I bought one as a backup because I'm using the SW Horween Leather as my phone back right now.

yeah it looks like it fits just fine.
i'm currently using a slickwraps wood skin on my stock one.
I want to paint the ebay one, i just dont know what color or what.
