My wife's Oneplus X stopped responding to the alert slider after the latest Oxygen update... She's on 2.2.1 and just realized that she wasn't hearing the phone ring when calls came in.
I've found a couple of other people mentioning this on the Oneplus forums, but nobody has a solution yet. Anyone here seen the problem, and (hopefully) have a solution?
In order to tell if it's a hardware or a software problem, try to do a full wipe and then re-flashing full rom.
Lovely. Only solution is to wipe the phone? And then have to re-load all the apps, re-set-up the phone, etc...
Nobody else has seen this happen? OS 2.2.1, audio stuck on "No Interruptions" regardless of slider position. Volume keys just pop up the "No Interruptions" window.

First reflash over the full rom zip abnd wipe cache and dalvik cache,
It won't reset the phone
Then you can try to reboot in "safe mode". Power button, then let the finger on "Eteindre".
A window will appear, then it will reboot. Try to move the button after reboot.
Last idea, try to install "vibrate mod" app.

I have indeed the same issue, My phone (OnePlus X) was working fine until it seems to have No Interruptions permanently stuck on - no amount of tweaking with the notification or priority settings seems to work, and my phone is fully updated. Pressing the volume buttons just brings up 'No Interruptions' and a greyed out volume bar. Also if I go to settings and try to change the volume bar that doesn't help. I also tried a hard reset to sweep everything out but that didn't help out neither.
I have the same problem - every position gives 'no interruptions' pop up. No adjustments on settings helped. Phone only 2 months old. It's on 2.2.2...
I don't think it your software. Probably hardware problem. In 2.2.2 everything was fine with tri state key.

Having the same problem with my OPX. I have sent mine in for repair.
Factory reset didn't help.
I'll let you know if the problem is fixed when I get my phone back...

I tried to install the latest update for my acer tablet. My tablet is unrooted and it was doing fine with the android icon with spinning gears and a progress bar. Though it froze and stayed froze...i had no choice but to reset. Once I did though the system would come back up to the slide your finger to unlock screen, my same background was working but a vibrate would happen (before touching) and after that touching the screen wouldn't do anything or react so couldn't slide to unlock. After this, I tried the plus volume button + power+ moving the orientation switch on and off. This got my old background to go away so something happened but it never reset on its own as it was saying: clearing user data and clearing cache. After that i shut it off again and rebooted using the minus volume. It said it was going to revert back to some file. The friendly android robot with spinning gears occurred then shortly after the progress bar came up that friendly android was replaced with an android icon with a big yellow warning sign in it (exclamation point) as far as i can tell nothing happens afterwards. After a few more reboots and + trick i can get the system to boot (no drag finger to unlock) but the minute it gets to the home screen the "shutting down" dialog shows up with the "powering off" message. It never goes away, tablet never shuts down. This happened REPEATEDLY. I did contact acer tech support; and since the first time it didnt reboot on its own after clearing user data and user cache he said its a hardware defect and to return it. I do hesitate to believe that cause I have babied this thing. I wonder if its an odd software error?
Now if i just let the tablet boot up it will come to that home screen with that shutting down dialog. And sometimes i swear a message box pops u behind it I cannot click on it (i swear the dialog that pops up behind the powering off dialog is something about the apk installer). I cannot get to the privacy ->restore to factory defaults...cause everytime i make it to the settings screen and click okay or something the home screen comes back and everything else go s away...so can never click on anything in the settings without it fading away. Which means I cannot click privacy -> restore factory defaults. So now my acer just boots up and says shutting down right away and does nothing else. Its clear of the apps i had on it, but st still not coming up. Am I missing some other step to the process or is the acer device really going to be needed to send out? I think i did everything right but wondering if anyone else had the boot up and then see the shutting down/powering off dialog the whole time... it should be noted that it never actually does shut down.
Any ideas or help id love it!
I don't own a tablet, but here is a thread that you can check out. Hopefully it will help you out. Good luck!
Hey dudes
So I'm on temasek's cm 11 rom, and yesterday, my battery died(it needs to be replaced, because the phone can't tell me how charged it is...) without going through the usual "shutdown" procedures. Now when I turn it on, put the pin in and stuff, it showed upgrading apps(???), and then loaded up. Now, nothing shows in that navigation/notification panel thing, and the home button isn't working. Otherwise it seems fine. Is there any way to fix this issue without flashing and losing everything? I tried flashing to a newer rom without a factory reset, but the notification panel and home button are still not working.
Any help is really appreciated!
So i was just forced to install Lollipop by Sprint. I was having a minor S-Pen issues and Sprints "FIX" was to update me to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Well now I have 500000000 other issue with my phone. Most i can live with, but there are 2 in particular that at driving me absolutely bonkers and I cant fix. I was hoping someone around here would have an idea how to fix it without me having to root, and go back to the previous OS. (The Sprint Root seems a little intimidating and I cant afford to brink my phone even for 20 minutes).
The main issues I am having are regarding the lock screen. I cant get the lock screen to stay open more then 3 or 4 seconds and if I botch my pattern or don't swipe fast enough, the screen will turn itself off. Then I have to turn the screen back on and try and unlock it again. Sometimes the screen even turns off in the middle of trying to unlock it. It is EXTREMELY annoying having to try and unlock my phone 4 or 5 times just to get to the notification screen ...... As for the Notification screen, once i finally am able to get my phone unlocked, then when i try and swipe my notification bar the phone will sometimes turn the screen off as well, then I have to go BACK to trying to unlock the phone and try and do everything faster then 2 jack rabbits banging in order to just get to my notifications. Its become a major problem in that sometimes I just cant get the sequence and speed right for 10 or 15 tries.
Anyone else having these issues or have a fix???

I can't say I had any problems like this. I was running Stock rooted OC5 for a while and had really no problems with it. I didn't have any pattern or pin unlock though, so maybe it would have been different? I would have stayed stock but my Flashaholic took hold and made to start trying out other ROMs.
As for rooting, I have found it very easy to root this phone. I haven't had a problem either using auto-root or flashing superSU.

before a factory reset, you might try doing a wipe of the cache partition.
turn your phone off
press and hold, Volume up + home key + power until you see the blue booting to recovery mode message
wait for recovery mode to display (the menu will show after the green robot)
use the volume rocker to move down to wipe cache partition and press the power button to select it.
now select the yes line and press power
now reboot your phone and see if that helps with the lock screen behavior
good luck

You should read more before trying to root
My wife has a fully carrier (tmobile) stock S5 and as of last night has not been able to get rid of the "ringtone" volume slider on her phone (top of the screen). I have reset the phone 3 times but the volume notification shows up and goes to max setting on its own. I try to turn it down but it resets to max and the popup won't go away.
Anyone else have this issue? I feel this is an hardware issue since i have the same phone and never have had this problem and it won't fix itself after 3 resets. We both are on Android 5.0 latest OTA update.
Please help
Hello,
I have a very strange problem with my Xperia Z2. After unlocking the display on the device is blank. You can see the brightness, the touch works, because when I swipe my fingers I can hear android sound but there is no picture. I must do "lock - unlock" pattern 3-4 times, sometimes even more to get the display work properly. I tried to fix it by using software repair but it didnt work, and also
factory reset. Its just so iritating, I cant even lock my phone anymore, I try to keep the display on as much as possible if someone trys to call me so I can answer it. Device is currently running on Existenz ROM but the issue started on the stock so I flashed custom rom but it didn't help. So this is probably a hardware problem and if it is, what could be broken ( is it display, GPU,whatever ) or it could be a software problem ? Any help would be appreciated.

No, no the "lock-unlock pattern" is reffered to simply pressing the unlock button on the phone. There is just blank display and light is on as I mentioned but no picture. After pressing button many times the picture finaly comes and then it's normal. It only happens when phone goes to sleep mode or after I lock it.
If your phone reboots can you see the SONY logo and the boot animation as well?

Nope, there is nothing. Just a sound and LED works, and blank screen. Then again, when the phone finally reboots, pressing lock-unlock button will do the trick. It seems like, when I dont touch the phone longer time, it's harder to get screen on. But when I constantly work with the phone there is no need for that amount of "lock - unlock button move".

It's probably hardware, now it's just a question of repair cost and is it worth it ?

I think this is due to a faulty LCD screen, but the digitalizer seems fine. So maybe you could consult some local repair shops and prove if my hypothesis is correct. But first of all you should try also flashing another kernel (eg elite kernel) first to see if it is a software issue rather than a hardware issue.
