For Android's experts !!! S.O.S.. Lenovo S6000 without ... - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello community ! (Sorry for my english) = (^ _-) =
Is there an expert in Android here ? ...
I expose my problem.
A friend of mine handed me his family tablet (Lenovo S6000 Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, Kernel 3.4.5, MT 6589, 16Gb)
According to her, it did not seem to want to normally boot.
No backup, no update, no bootloader ... no root ...
So I took the animal home and I check and try the following ....
1) Power ON the device ==> OK
2) Result device ==> frozen on the logo "Lenovo" indefinitely
3) Recovery Mode Android (3rd) ==> Reboot system (the same as the line 2)
4) Recovery Mode Android (3rd) ==> Wipe Data / Factory Reset Wipe Cache Partition + Reboot System
5) Android Logo slept with exclamation point (no command )
6) Recovery Mode Android ==> Reboot System
7) Android Logo standing with "Effacement en cours" (erasing data ) and boot in loop
8) Factory Menu in Chinese ==> All tests buttons, displays and touch are OK (except the WIFI) + Technical information of the device Reboot System
That's where I am right now!
To date I have access has three kinds of pages on the tablet:
1_ Android Recovery Mode <3>: Reboot, ADB, sdcard, Wipe Data, Factory Reset, Wipe Partition
* Reboot system ==> After Reboot, Android Logo standing with "current Erase" then reboot in loop
* Upadate ADB ==>Tablet not recognized on my computer ... So no interaction between the tablet and the PC
* Update sdcard ==> Only possibility to inject anything on this tablet
* Update from Cache ==> No data
* Wipe Data / Factory Mode ==> Display ok => YES - delete all user data (no change)
* Wipe Cache Partition ==> OK (No change)
2_ Page "META MODE": What and how is it ????
3_ factory Chinese Menu: All test performed successfully +/- (except wifi)
No recognition of the device when connected to the PC .... Device Manager does not detect anything ... Yet Lenovo drivers & android USB drivres are installed!
No possibility to install drivers "Android_CDC_Driver" because again nothing appears in the Device Manager!
... From obliged to drop the tablet resting on the USB cable just for to power ...
Is it possible to do everything via the SD card if the tablet was not "prepared" before ???
I own the firmware, the ROM and the Open Source Code s6000.
The difficulty for me is going to be Android Jellybean 4.2.2 reinject power via "Apply update from Sdcard" because there seems to also be a problem as with the USB jack on the tablet: /
So exit the ADB or Fastboot ... the Root, ect ... well I think ...
The only problem is that my skills stop there!
Allo Doctor ???
Thanks in advance !

Hi there,

HTC Desire V or t328w Upgradable to RUU_PRIMO_DS_ICS_40A_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.73.707.1

I was unable to OTA upgrade my Desire V after unlocking of system and installation of CWM recovery. I have found a practical solution by which I have successfully flashed my phone to original stock rom 1.60.707.5 which is OTA upgradable to first 1.60.707.7 and the second to to 1.73.707.1 the latest one.
This solution was found on a Russian forum at following address:
[4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=363255&st=1040&p=17673816&#entry17673816
I have translated the Russian in to understandable English for convenience.
Restore Stock firmware for Asian Desire V t328w.
The phone should be installed custom recovery.

unpack first and second on a computer in a convenient location, and a third on the SD card from your phone. The map should get sub directories clockwork mod / backup / original.
1. Reboot your phone to recovery and clean data: wipe Data / Factory reset wipe cache partition in the Advanced menu: wipe dalvik cache wipe battery stats pass in Backup and restore: restore -> original Waiting for rebuild and reboot the body.
2. Ship the unit in standby mode FASTBOOT and connect to a computer. go in the unzipped FastbootDV, click on run.bat and in the window sequence of input commands: fastboot Flash Boot boot.img <Enter> fastboot Flash Recovery recovery.img <Enter> fastboot erase cache < enter> fastboot oem lock <Enter> After the last phone reboots itself.
3. Go to Settings -> Developer options and put the check for "USB debugging"
When you will start the system it will display menus in Russian, U can change the system language in to English from settings>Language & Keyboard>System Language.
Run the firmware file (the phone is connected to a computer), we agree that we understand the risks and that they agreed to re-flash.
wait for the end, reset, connect the network and go to check for updates.
I got two - the first and the second to 1.60.707.7 to 1.73.707.1

Newbie help please de-bricking MT6577

I bricked my MT6577-based phone. I ran an app which re-partitions the drive, and this stopped the phone from booting -- the initial boot splash screen appears (in this case an Android icon), but it doesn't get to the point where it loads the OS (which would be represented by an Android icon where the droid's eyes and 'jetpack' light up).
I have placed the phone in recovery mode (power+vol up), and connected this to my PC (Windows 7). The PC does not recognise the phone and flags up an "unknown device" (code 43), so I cannot do anything with the flash tool or MTK tools.
I'm assuming that the original ROM is still intact, but can anyone confirm: is this phone recoverable? I should point out that it appears not to be possible to get a copy of the stock ROM for this device, I have searched at length with no success.
If it's dead without the ROM, a single line to the effect will put my mind at rest at least
Reinstall the drivers and then connect your phone in recovery mode
Use yuweng's ctr recovery porting tool and get the custom recovery
Then in wipe menu, wipe data and emmc partition then try
Otherwise you'll need the stock rom to he flashed by flashtool
Press thanks :good: if I've helped :highfive:

Wiko Jimmy Bricked

Hello,
I have a Wiko Jimmy (MTK MT6582) but an update with OTA just bricked my android phone.
I have acces to the recovery menu ( Android system recovery < KOT49H).
I tried the wipe data/factory reset , wipe cache partition and then reboot system but it didn't work.
When I tried to mount my device on my computer , it just didn't work like I thought ( ADB works but I cannot access to the device) :
so I cannot flash the phone : even with SP_Flash_Tool (It didn't detect the phone) or Wiko official program (It didn't detect the phone)
When I tried commands like adb shell , I got the error : closed.
The best choice is thus the option "apply update from ADB".
The only problem is I didn't have a flashable rom to try. No dev has developped a custom rom
Any idea ? I think I would become crazy XD ( I have installed the drivers)

[Unbrick Me] LG G2 D801 - Dead Android Robot, Exclamation Point in Red Triangle

I'd appropriate it, if anyone would be willing to help me out with my issue.
I have a LG G2 D801, 32GB.
Had it ROOTED, TWRP Recovery, and Lineage OS 14.1 running perfectly just fine. Until I recently tried to Flash Lineage OS 15.1, which then caused my phone to completely go into a black screen with a dead Android Robot having a exclamation point in a red triangle coming out of it's belly.
Yes, I'm able to get into: Android System Recovery <3e> LRXX22G
- Tried, Reboot System Now and it loops right back into the Android System Recovery <3e> LRXX22G screen. (so that's a dead end)
- Tried, Wipe Cache Partition, then Reboot System Now and it loops right back into the Android System Recovery <3e> LRXX22G screen. (so that's a dead end)
- Tried, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, then Wipe Cache Partition, then Reboot System Now and it loops right back into the Android System Recovery <3e> LRXX22G screen. (so that's a dead end)
- Last but not least, leaving me with the only real option I have left to help fix my phone is the, Apply Update From ADB. (Yes, I tried that one too) Which is why I need your help!
Here's a quick scenario of what happens after trying that last option. (Apply Update From ADB)
-Basically my phone then asks me to ADB Sideload files.
-I connect my phone to my PC. (Windows 7, x64)
-Check my Device Manager to see if it's fully connected, but my D801 connects each time under SAMSUNG Android Phone - AndroidNet Sooner Single ADB Interface. (which I know has to be wrong)
-I go into my CMD Prompt, to access my installed ADB Shell, to search for attached ADB Devices. (Yes, it sees my phone as: LGD801cb55c4e4 sideload)
-I proceed to try to sideload a ROM and after about 30% Signature Verification, Fails causing my D801 to Abort Installation. (no matter what I throw at it, IMG/KDZ/TOT files fail as well.)
Now when it comes to trying the methods listed in: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 to Flash Stock Firmware, I simply can't because my D801 doesn't connect to my PC in Device Manager under Ports or QHSUSB_BULK. (it connects each time under SAMSUNG Android Phone - AndroidNet Sooner Single ADB Interface.
I've also tried SRKtool_2.1_droidth which ends up leaving me at another dead end.
If you have the time please help, and or point me in the right direction.
I've already installed the needed drivers:
qualcomm-driver
adb-setup-1.4.3
LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0
Downloaded all the corresponding files to my PC for my D801:
Firmware Files (KDZ & TOT also Extracted)
LG Flash Tool 2014 & 2015
SRKtool_2.1_droidth
Megalock DLL File
D801 DLL File
LGUP
Silly suggestion perhaps, but after freaking out for about an hour when this happened to me I ended up realizing I could reboot to TWRP using the hard keys. Honestly, I only mention it because I was trying everything else too. If you didn't already try it (I didn't see it in your description) I think it's the power key and volume down key while it's off and as soon as you see the splash screen, release them both and immediately repress and hold them both until you see TWRP. Just a thought.
I loved that phone!
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Just tried your technique @C-Tec. Thank you. But that only brings up the Factory Data Reset Screen (to Erase all user data & Restore default settings) instead of the TWRP Recovery screen. (so that's a dead end)
Because, after selecting Yes, Erasing data and Restoring default settings, my phone reboots in to the same loop I started from, as if I never did anything to remedy the situation.
Update on my progress:
-So I was able to get in to Download Mode. (holding the VOLUME UP button, while the phone is off)
-Followed by the Firmware Update Screen after plugging my phone in to my PC via USB. (which then read my phone as - LG Mobile USB Serial Port. (COM8) under Ports in Device Manger)
-I then Flashed the D801 Stock Lollipop KDZ. (by using the LG Flash Tool 2014)
-Waited for the progress bar to completely fill to 100% and BOOM! I fixed my problem.
-Android Lollipop running like NEW. (that's 2014 NEW :crying
-Now to retry Lineage OS 15.1.
Here's a helpful Video Clip, to understand how to use the Flash Tool. -
Just search for: LG G2 - Fix LG Logo Stuck/ Boot Loop Fix / Flash Firmware - EASY METHOD in YouTube.
Being that I'm low ranked I cant post any links just yet, sorry.
I even went out of my way and ordered a LG V20 off of Swappa, which arrives tomorrow. Due to this issue.

my sister is very grateful
Thank you very much.
What build date has this rom? Sec. patches?
Can you please post your local manifest?
Very interesting guide, unfortunately the links don't work...
Is it possible to restore them?
Tanks. Max
I think its first guide how to do it because every other guides were for TB2-X30F but not for TB2-X30L.
I have only found lineage os for x30l, can someone please link lineage (Android 7) for x30f?
The difference between L and F is that L is the sim card variant. Ive read several people getting "insert sim card" when installing L on a F tablet. So I dont want messages like this.
Thanks for this tutorial. It was possible, to upgrade this old Tablet.
Do you know, if there is anything newer version for our Lenovo?

The tablet can also run on LineageOS 16 which is Android 9.
As I saw that the guys in the Russian 4PDA-Forum had been able to create a LiOS16, I was able to make some adjustments and compile a ROM with most recent security patches which now runs on my good old TB2-X30L / TAB2 A10-30:

Hallo,
I have installed LiOS14-UNOFFICIAL-TB2-X30L.zip. The installation was without problems.
But I am having problem with WiFi - problem of MAC 02:00:00:00:00:00. I have tried a lots of tips but nothig worked. Two times I was succesfull to set some MAC, but always, after while, it was gone. No able to reproduce to set.
Is it really so difficult to set somehow the MAC addres for the WiFi?
As I understand the setting of the MAC differs between different releases of OS. Does anybody know how it work in this release? It should by known where this relaese expects the MAC setting. Am I right?
1. temporary succes: Setting MAC in system/etc/firmware/wlan/qca_cld/wlan_mac.bin (I think. Its longer time ago and there was more attempts). It lasted for few months. It is not mine device so I don't know how it was handled.
2. temporary succes: I copied system/etc/firmware/wlan dir to system/vendor/firmware/wlan. I did it based on how it is in Samsung Galaxy S4 mini with Lineage 16. It worked. After restart I had to swith off and on the airplane mode to set MAC. After few attempts it was gone. No able to reproduce to set the MAC.
I am not Linux expert

After few day i find out solution how to install custom ROM to my Lenovo tablet. I think its first guide how to do it because every other guides were for TB2-X30F but not for TB2-X30L.
Installation guide:
FILES TO DOWNLOAD:
ALL FILES: https:// drive.google.com/drive/folders/1heVQAryphuXNVt5k-HsUhfRrVr9MV34D
ALL LINKS WORK ! JUST DELETE THE SPACE BEFORE drive.google.com...
1) On the tablet, at Settings, you must activate on the Developer Options the Bootloader Unlock (OEM unlocking) and USB debugging. Uncheck Verify apps over USB.
How to unlock Developer: https: //youtu.be/g5wkFAWDsg0
2) Download these files directly to your Android device, not to SD card.
a) https:// drive.google.com/file/d/1230xFbPA7DOGMhuX59yagEd6w1gNCI4o/view SuperSU-v2.79.zip (for me working only v2.79)
b) https:// drive.google.com/file/d/1vRW5RZixtNVfKbJ7nL2EUetANydfmLNg/view Gapps.zip (open_gapps-arm-7.1-micro-20180721)
b) https:// drive.google.com/file/d/13Mp8guzzOvb17s88IQyez_9reozpTNbw/view boot.img (from LiOS14-UNOFFICIAL-TB2-X30L)
3) Power off completely the tablet.
4) REMOVE SD CARD ! (because for me a part of system was installed on SD card).
5) Make sure you have a good cable so the connection between PC and tablet is perfect.
6) Download https: //drive.google.com/file/d/1XTDYs7kxagj-CXHsH_yyQnMXqYwAP_hK/view ADB and Fastboot to your PC .(here are the drivers too).
7) Unzip the zip archive and run with Administrator the apps from inside of the zip. To all the questions you must to press key Y to grant all the rights it needs.
8) Press and hold Volume up and plug in usb. Now you are in stock recovery menu.
9) From stock recovery select reboot to bootloader by using volume keys and power keys.
10) Wait about 5-10sec to tablet boot in bootloader mode. (shows lenovo logo in screen when ready)
11) Download the https:// drive.google.com/file/d/15IH55DgmD6SmlILjTukGeNcmYgUPcmCg/view recovery.img(its TWRP version for Lenovo Tab2 x30f so it wont work properly) and copy it into folder adb at local disk C (installed on step 7)
12) Run CMD with administrator and type cd C:\adb to select the adb folder.
13) In cmd type fastboot unlock-go and press enter. In case this command does not work, please try fastboot -s or fastboot oem unlock-go or fastboot oem unlock .
14) Flash recovery with command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and then type fastboot boot recovery.img
15) From TWRP select Install and browse to emmc folder and then to your folder where you stored all files you downloaded.
(in bottom right corner you have Images... or Zips... here you can choose what type of file you want to install.
Install SuperSU-v2.79.zip
16) Now in menu select Wipe -> Advanced Wipe and check Dalvik Cache, Data and Cache. Wipe them.
17) Go back to menu and select Install. And install boot.img. At top of display check Boot and flash it.
19) Download https:// drive.google.com/file/d/1MlDxidIqLOZv_QZ91i8bsHgGdBMf7l9g/view LiOS14-UNOFFICIAL-TB2-X30L.zip and copy it into folder adb at local disk C (C:\adb).
18) Go to Menu select Advanced and open ADB Sideload. Go back to CMD on your pc and type
adb devices
If its your tablet properly connected you will see some letters and numbers and sideload. After that type
adb sideload LiOS14-UNOFFICIAL-TB2-X30L.zip
Now wait for finish the installation. If its installed corectly you will see Succesful at the top.
19) Repeate step number 15 and again install SuperSU-v2.79.zip (In installation you will see Boot image patcher)
20) Unplug your tablet from PC. And reboot it. First reboot may take 5-10 minutes and can reboot few times. DO NOT INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS.
