Hello, i will buy a new Phone Flagship (LG G5, HTC 10 etc..).
Which one has the best support from developers? (i was a little bit disappointed from the LG G4).
I want to spend up to 700 euros. What device would you recommend?
I recommend the Nexus 6P, if you want a 8 core flagship, and if you want a 4 core flagship, i think the Nexus 6 is the best. The best development is for them! (Nexus 4 is still developed i think) Sry for my english.
Hope it helped!
I think i will go for the HTC 10.
I read only good thinks in reviews about this phone

Hello!
I'm going to the states (California) for Christmas with my friend and I am to buy a new phone.
I have set off $500 to it (as I too am buying Nexus 10 32gb), but I am having a hard time making a decision.
Originally I wanted a Nexus 4 (and still do), but I was not fortunate enough to order one when they were in stock, and now it has been two weeks and no news of when they will be, so I am thinking that I probably won't get one in time for the 19th of December... Here in Denmark the phone is about $700, and I really can't justify that. But $500 (taxes and shipping included?) I'd buy one.
My only concerns about the Nexus 4 is the screen (people say that is it worse than S3 & One X), battery life, camera and lack of internal storage. I also just heard that it does not have OTG (perhaps a software error). If I can't have the Nexus 4 I was wondering what phones you guys would recommend?
I am having a really hard time picking between the HTC One X and Galaxy S3, as I prefer to have the latest and greatest from android (4.2).
I like the SD card on the Galaxy S3, but I think the One X has a better design. I guess they are both equal in speed, but how about display and camera? What are your thoughts about the two phones?
If everything else fails, I could blow my budget and get a used $600 Galaxy S3 4G (Quad core version), but I would almost prefer a Nexus 4 over that.
What do you guys think, any other phones on the market that is worth looking at? High end devices, that you can get somewhere cheap on cyber monday unlocked at about $500-600?
I have also been looking at the Lumia 920, but I guess this is not really the forum for it I am afraid that it does not have enough app support to suit my needs
If you buy an S3 or a One X, you'll soon start cursing yourself for lack of software updates. Buy the Nexus 4, it will be well worth the wait. Oh, and the screen of N4 isn't bad, its just that the One X has the most awesome screen of any phone ever produced.
go for the nexus 4...
The thing is, we have no Google store in Denmark so I will have to pay a ridiculous price for it (more than a new S3). As long as the S3 and One X has proper development communities I am thinking it'll be OK.
If I can get a Galaxy S3 with 4G (quad core version) for even less than a Galaxy Nexus, I am thinking that might be the way? Unless google starts putting some on sale so I can get one before the 19th of December....
Or do you guys know where I can get a 16 gig version for $500?
There is quite a bit of development for the Galaxy S3. There is a stable CM10 ROM posted on Cyanogenmod's site.
Go for One X , overall better . Nexus 4 is lacking MicroSD slot which is a big minus and android version doesn't really matter , cyanogenmod is faster than stock roms

The one X has no Micro SD either
I help it in my hand today, I love the design, but it feels a bit chunky compared to the S3, also power button is placed weird.
Sense is lagging, and I don't see a Cyanogenmod for One X without bugs
It is now official! Android L will now be called Android Lollipop and the Nexus 6 is going to be a beast of a phone!!!! So what are your thoughts on the new release and how do you guys think it will affect the LG G2? :fingers-crossed:
Was considering jumping to the N6, but at those prices... haha no.
Hello G2, you're my new best friend. Sticking with the G2, and eagerly awaiting development whenever google decides to drop source. I should learn how to compile and build roms when i go back to Canada...

Not so excited because of the bootloader thing -- look at the chaos in our original android development zone.
Unless LG provides an official unlock...
One more good phone to nexus family and it will be my next :3

very true brother! Hopefully things get sorted out in a quick manner(which I highly doubt since its coming from LG not to be a party pooper ) ...
The N6 looks pretty sweet.

give it till December and we should see ROMS opening up quick..hopefully the cyanogenmod guys will be able to make a new batch of releases asap
Maybe in a year or two
I just got my G2 a few weeks ago and I'm loving it! Didn't go for G3 since It was out of the budget. Being a proud owner of a Nexus One and 7 (2012) I'd love to get a Nexus 6. But I'll wait a year or two when budget may allow or upgrade wife's phone to a Nexus 6
I was all set for upgrading to N6, but wow. Flagship price indeed. Will think about it. At that price range, I can go for a Note 4 or Z3, G3. There's no shortage of options. Nexus was always a favorite because of the price, but this...doesn't feel like a nexus.
The g2 is ultimately the nexus 5 for us Verizon gnex guys. In terms of development and specs, the g2 is where it's at. The n6 is just too steep in $$$$.
Nexus 6 is too expensive for my tastes...

I first was so excited for the next nexus, willing to buy it as soon as it's available. But then I thought about it again. The screen of the LG G2 is totally enough, and the size is at the maximum for me. Gonna keep this phone so far, hope to see some updates soon, G3 design and Android l.
I hope to see a Google Experience rom for LG G2 D802.
I don't want to buy the new Nexus 6, I think LG G2 is a great smartphone!
I saw some interesting asian forum with a lot of rom for D802..
Only waiting for LG to push android L. Sorry to say this but only a fool would invest in a new phone if they already have a G2. Perfect size, yea, neither too big nor small. A ton of features and big battery to back it up, check. Plus, great CPU power. G2 remains the best phone on the market.

I Love my g2 is a fact. Nexus 6 have a dual front speaker, but the price.....565 euros???? I buy another flashgrip of Samsung, Lg. ..

Not interested in replacing my G2 any time soon but after using the L preview for the last couple months on my nexus 4, I REALLY want it now on my G2.
Nexus 9 though is looking mighty joocy and am considering getting one to replace my old 2012 N7.
I'm hoping the Nexus 6 will be available on some operators in Ireland. It's a tad expensive to buy sim free. I was planning on upgrading to the Note 4 and selling it straightaway to fund the Nexus 6 but I'm not sure.
No operators offered the Nexus 4 or 5 in Ireland so I'm thinking it may be the same this time around but hope I'm wrong.
I dont think its going to take until December for us to see an L rom. My verizon s3 had an unofficial kitkat build by november. Not even a month. This leads me to believe that we should see an L build about a month or so later, that is if we dont run into any major roadblocks such as the new baseband doesnt work on aosp LTE. Anyways, I'm jumping out of my seat for L
Hoping that since the N5 is a sister device to the G2 porting goes well.
Hi,
Today my old Nokia Lumia 520 has passed away and now I'm thinking about purchasing a new device. I personally do not have any problem to use phablet but I'm kinda in a loop about which phone should I go for or should I wait more.
First I thought to go with Nexus 6 (as nexus is always my 1st preference) but after Google I/O 2015 I'm kind a sceptic about getting Nexus 6. As for sure the upcoming nexus is going to have a USB Type - C port, Snapdragon 810 and may be a fingerprint sensor - as Google has already launched an universal API for that. So, frankly I'm kinda hopeful about the next upcoming nexus (the big one, not the small one LG is manufacturing).
I also loved OnePlus One - though I personally do not own it but I've used it - as one of my colleague own it. It was a pretty good phone. Now OnePlus 2 is also coming up on July 27th and as per the speculation it is going to have Snapdragon 810, 3GB Ram (I thought it would be 4GB this time ) and a 5.5" screen (neither QHD nor big enough like nexus ) .
So, here it goes- what do you think guys, should I go with Nexus 6 now or go with OnePlus 2 or even wait for upcoming nexus? Looking forward to your helpful replies.
hey all!
Considering an update from my Honor 6 this spring some time and was wondering if you recommend the honor 7 or the nexus 6P?
or other huawei models? one thing that has been an annoyance for me lately is the lack of ROM's for the Honor 6, its something I have missed dearly. I guess if i had chosen a "top" model, like samsung S6 or S7, theres probably plenty, but then theres also the matter of how much money to shell out on a phone.
so in shorter terms:
*i want/need a phone with plenty of ROMS etc.
*battery needs to be decent
*regular and timely android updates
*i have normal hands very average, lol
*most of all, i want to feel its a great bang for the buck and still not break the bank(this is why i loved my honor 6, great performance to price ratio)
any insights welcome
my friend, you're describing a Nexus.
i'd say go for a Nexus you won't regret it. I'm a happy Honor7 user but what you need you won't find it in the Honor7.
Nexus all the way if you want the best. But if you want a good phone for a low price then the honor 7 will more than do the job in specs and in actual use. It's the best budget phone by a long shot.
I'm coming from a nexus 5 and apart from the honor 7 not being as comfortable in the hand it actually beats my old nexus 5 in all other aspects and daily use.
thanks, this makes my choice a little easier. going to a store one of these days and check how the 6P fits in my hand. it just seems to look crazy big for some reason
Check out the honor 7 in a 3 mobile store they have them in stock. The honor 7 looks better in real life than in any you tube video and is very responsive.
Just noticed that the nexus has no sd card option which is a dealbreaker in my book... But perhaps getting the 64 gig version could be ok
Honor, good price flagship from Huawei. Not many ROMs but as you see we have 2 already ;D Nexus is just Nexus that phone is and will be the best, clean Android, fast updates, every Beta Android is going first to Nexus devices (like the new Android N right now). If you don't need all that, you can pick Honor. He is fast but EMUI is something very different. Just check it out on YouTube.
Would run away from SD810, like the one Nexus 6P have inside. Overheat/throttle from this SOC is well known, despite some revisions. Also with that SOC and high density pixel, battery is not great as Honor 7 (3100mah vs 3450mah). You have a 128GB version, though, but the price should be quite steep.
Right now, with the release of SD820 and Helio x20 its very premature to go to a flagship, before the dust settles.
Edit: The phones with the most 3rd party ROMs are the most sold and/or opened to development.
Seems like its a good year for tax returns so im thinking about a flagship from somewhere, so ill think it over a little more
I like my Axon 7, but I am a bit dismayed that ZTE has not come up with a new phone. I don't need a new phone now, but in 4 to 6 months I may be looking for one. And by then the new OnePlus 5T will be upgraded to Oreo and will have its bugs ironed out... looks to me that'll be my next phone. Does ZTE not want to retain people like myself who like the Axon 7? They should have at least announced a new phone by now, and I don't mean the weird Axon M.
Well...
Most likely they would've removed the double speakers which was one of the most appealing features of this phone in favor of one of those so-called bezel-less designs.
Waiting to see what they do. No hurry, the 7 is great anyway. Rather they don't rush it to market with poor compromises and buggy old software.
I read an excerpt from an interview a few days ago that ZTE are well aware of their success with the Axon 7 and that a follow-up will be released next year, IIRC.
Edit: found the article (on this site even):

While not flagships or of the Axon line, the Blade X Max and the Blade Z Max or decent phones. My sister-in-law dropped and destroyed her phones a couple of weeks ago. I ordered her a Blade Z Max and got it unlocked for her. I can honestly say that if my Axon 7 kicked the bucket tomorrow I could go with the Blade Z Max and be happy with it.
I' in the works of getting an Enhanced model so I am in no hurry to buy a new phone.
It's one of the best phones to buy if you're gonna buy a 2nd hand. No other phone comes at same price-range over quality. Paid 140€ for mine. Good condition(with minor micro scratches on the screen but nothing that ruins the viewing experience) plus warranty.
ZTE USA tweet confirmed follow up to axon 7, but no dates.

In domestic of China, there is a newer version of Axon 7 - the Axon 7s

Axon 7 is pretty good phone, but my next stop will be the Lg V30
