M4 Aqua stuck in bootloop after installing SuperSU through TWRP - Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

Hi guys,
I was rooting my girlfriends m4 aqua as it is having awful memory problems due to the small internal memory space and I had been hoping to partition some across from the SD card.
Anyway I successfully unlocked bootloader and put TWRP recovery onto it. From here I then put Supersu.zip into the internal memory and installed it through TWRP. It was successful but then when I went to turn the device on it was just stuck on bootloop at the wave screen.
I have also tried to flash the original rom back onto the device but it's not making any difference and it still wont load up.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! I can still boot into TWRP recovery but stupidly I didn't back up before installing supersu which i should have done...
Cheers,

How long have you waited after flashing SuperSU? It can take a while to boot after you flash anything on this phone. Or you could use Flashtool to have a fresh start

I waited around 1-2 minutes... don't tell me it worked and I was just impatient

Sounds like that's exactly the problem. First boots after flashing pretty much anything can take up to 10 minutes. Just give it some time.

hey guys did you end up finding a fix??

[Q] Help needed; Stuck in Fastboot; can't flash recovery

I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I'm S-OFF, HBOOT 2.09 unlocked, rooted.
Flashed TWRP 2.1.8 and SuperSU. Everything worked fine until I accidentally wiped System. Normally that'd be fine, because I would just install a ROM from my SD card. For one reason or another my SD card is corrupted and can't be read by my computer or the phone. Again, shouldn't be a problem since I could just use a different SD card.
Well, somehow I accidentally told it to reboot normally without a ROM for it to boot to. It hung at the HTC splash screen. I rebooted into fastboot and tried to boot into recovery.
This time, it simply wouldn't. The screen would turn black for a few minutes then it displays a red exclamation mark in the middle of the screen. I booted into fastboot, tried again. Same thing.
I tried re-flashing the recovery image, but it keeps giving me this message:
Code:
sending 'recovery' (7220 KB)... OKAY
writing 'recovery'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
I'm not really sure what my options are at this point. I'm not terribly experienced, obviously. I've scoured Google trying to find if I can flash a ROM through fastboot, boot normally, and start over from the beginning. I've had no luck. I tried searching the forums but as far as I could find, the solutions required being able to flash recovery, which I can't do in the first place. Even if I were to get a working SD card I don't how how to make that work.
Any ideas? I just wanted to get the phone ready for a friend with a rooted stock ROM so he could have as clean a slate as possible. I'm sorry if this is a terrible thread. It's the first time I've really had to ask for help and I've spent the past three hours trying to get this sorted.
Thanks for hearing me out.
Get a new sd card. Download from here. http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/98
Scroll all the way down. Follow instructions for bootloader option. At the the same time put the rom of your choice on sd card. Flash recovery. Then using recovery flash rom. Delete recovery image from sd card afterwards.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm turning in for the night so I'll come back with a verdict tomorrow when I get the chance.
EDIT: Okay, first of all, thank you. You're a lifesaver.
I was able to flash TWRP and it boots into recovery just fine now. I'm able to push files into internal storage using ADB. Not all is nearly as lost as it was. The problem is that every ROM I've tried to flash is failing. This is the error message I get:
Code:
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
* Verifying filesystems...
* Verifying partition sizes...
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/ROM.zip'
What does it look like?
Try a different download of twrp yours might have been corrupted. Reflash it, and see if it still gives you the error.

Oppo Find5 frozen

hi guys,
my find 5 was having some reboot issues (it was rebooting a few times per day) and that was a bit anoying. I was using an old original FW so i decided to update to a newer one. Heard good stuff about the Omni so i went for that, so i was using TWRP 2.4.1.0 (i think... i'm sure it was 2.4.x) and on the omni page they said we have to use TWRP 2.6 so i went for an update.
here, i think, i've created my problem. I used the new flashify app to install the TWRP but instead of choose recovery img i choosed to flash the boot and i guess i'd flashed the TWRP on the boot.
well anyaway, now i'd installed the TWRP 2.6.3.1 i manage to start the phone in fastboot and recovery all good here, i install every rom nice and easy over TWRP but the phone simply doesn't start, it gets stuck on Touchscreen Firmware Update please wait.... this happens ALWAYS with what version of TWRP or even if i install CWM...
my guess is that i'd messed up some partition or so i don't really know what but i'd tried to format every partition that TWRP let me and still getting the freackin Touchscreen Frim updt screen... so need some Pro help to help me undo the mistake i'd done...
i'd tried to manualy flash the boot with my current firms boot.img and still no go... the damn touchscreen update screen keeps showing on no matter what....
thanks for everything
i change the firmware and start logo changes too so booting it's changing why the hell the touchscreen update keeps appearing... grrrrr i even installed a chinese firmware and a equivalent screen appeared i'm pretty sure it says: "Touchscreen Firmware Update in Progress Please Wait" but in chinese XD really don't know what to do anymore...
some ideas please?
i just don't know what to do anymore... does anyone knows what makes the phone try to update the touchscreen firm? today i installed the CWM in boot not in recovery just to test if the damn thing would go to the touch updt screen again and it just boot to the CMW like it should (normal because i'd flashed the CMW in the boot place). now i flash a new firmware (that will flash the correct boot.img) and the thing keeps holding on the touch update... i'm really out of ideas now
one other thing it's that if i install the TWRP in boot it won't boot in TWRP like it shoul... it stucks on oppo logo.
well i managed to install the same firm i had and have no touchscreen update... but if i install any other firm the message appear...

After several tries still in bootloop - HTC One X

Hi Community,
I have a massive problem and I hope you can help me.
I rooted my HTC One X successfully and tried to flash custom roms on it which kind of worked. I put the zip folder on the internat sd card and flashed it without flashing the boot.img.
Finnaly I found out to do that, flashed the boot.img but while installing the ROM the problem code/status 7 appeared and I had to restart the phone in order to put the right rom onto the phone, which i had on my computer.
But while booting, the phone just got stuck in bootloop showing the HTC logo.
I already tried quite a lot of stuff to rescue my phone, for example to restore the nandroid backup - didnt work, flash another backup onto phone - still bootloop, flashed a new rom with boot.img - still bootloop.
The only solution i could find was to unroot the device and flash the stock rom onto it.
Is that really my last resort or is there another way?
Thanks for your help.
I just saw that I posted it in the wrong forum. If a admin could please replace it, i tried to delete it but it didn't work.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyone know where to find a CWM recovery image for this thing?

So I tried TWRP and have had extremely bad luck. I thought I bricked the phone at first, then it was stuck in a boot loop, THEN TWRP could not read from the internal memory, and to top it off, when I finally got the phone to boot up, I went ahead and bought a sim card and got it hooked up to ATT, and when I inserted the sim card, it automatically rebooted the phone into TWRP and reset everything (deleting all my apps and stuff) and got stuck in a boot loop.
I had an old phone and used clockwork mod recovery without any issue. Does anyone know where to find a CWM recovery image for the z5 compact?
Actually, if anyone has even the STOCK recovery I would be forever grateful. I would rather stock than TWRP at this point. I don't want to risk my phone being reset and having everything deleted again.
Same issue, unable to boot rom, TWRP has no access..

I am experiencing the same issue. I would like any working recovery/rom at this point. My Wife has the identical phone. Can I make a copy of hers to help the OP and my phone out?
I followed the following;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-sony-xperia-z5c-t3339930
and have tried a few times now. As well as other versions of TWRP..
On a side note I wouldn't mind testing new roms/features being implemented by developers. Please let me know where the best place to get involved would be.
Thanks in advance,
David.
found a boot.img and TWRP that worked for me..
So after a lot of flashing I found one that works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/orig-development/twrp-z5-compact-t3235161
at least I can get twrp working for now..
I still can not get CM installed. Each time I get 'Error executing updater binary in zip'. I will have to do some more reading tomorrow.

Reboot + Recovery Freeze

Hi I'm having a serious problem with my phone. It works OK when its booted, but sometimes it reboots, then keeps rebooting and freezing for about 10 mins, before it boots normally. When I boot into recovery, it also freezes after a few seconds, but when it reboots, it goes back to recovery unless I hold down the power button. This means I cant send any files to it through Minimal ADB and Fastboot, or anything like that.
I'm using the rom crDroid v2.3 with TWRP recovery.
P.S. This only really happened after I updated to TWRP v3.1.0.0, as before then, it was fine. Also, it wont show any of my SD card files in TWRP.
I hope you can help!
Downgrade twrp since it may be twrp that's causing the problem.

I can guarantee twrp has goosed something.
Be very careful with twrp if f**ks phones for sh*ts and giggles. If I were you I'd be using an official cwm recovery whenever possible as it's much more stable.
Beamed in by telepathy.
I have downgraded, to 3.0.0.2, and it worked fine first of all, but hen it started going weird again. I can't flash CWM through Odin, as it just freezes when I try. I guess I could try a different cable though
Sorry for any inconvenience, but I took out my SD card, put it back in, and rebooted into recovery, and it started working ok. It showed my SD and everything. I'm going to try sending a file to my phone now. Will tell you if it works. Thanks for your help, anyway!
