YouTube 3rd Party app that allows sticky MAX resolution playback - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As above - is there any 3rd party YouTube app that can 'remember' my 1440p settings for every single video? Also a plus if it can control video playback speed.
Please recommend. Thanks!

4k recording works with mi 3

I just tried this app from store and 4k recording works with that.. you might find it slightly laggy at times but do try it and report
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marginz.snap
it's a paid app... enable advance settings and select resolution and other options from videos tab
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055140
you guys can also try the app by downloading from the app thread but it would work only when offline

Great ! Thanks
Excellent. The only thing we need to do is to figure out if it's real 4K or just 1080p upscaled to 4k.

Nope. Even the 4K video is at a variable framrate so not of any great use as the frame rate changes from 15-25. I guess we'll have more access to camera functions once Android L comes out as it is supposed to have API's that give better control of the camera.

[Q] 3rd party 120 FPS Camera app?

Hi,
Can anyone please suggest an excellent 3rd party Camera app that can take slow motion video at 120 frames per second? I want to switch to CyanogenMod but I want a 120 fps app that I currently use on stock...

Is it possible to make a mod to enable HEVC/x265 recording in the LG Camera app?

Hi,
So I was just wondering if it would at all be possible to enable HEVC/x265 recording on the LG Camera app. It might be a useful feature which I believe is available on the LG V40, but not on the V30. I'm not sure if the 835 supports HEVC encoding/recording, but have used GCam and recorded video in HEVC and seen others use Filmic Pro to record in HEVC. So it seems to me that the 835 and the V30 may indeed support x265 recording.
I would use the GCam for video, but it isn't the best and have always preferred the LG camera app for video recording for the manual mode and all the options available so being able to record in HEVC would be a nice added feature
I want this feature so much!
This is a huge problem for me because it ruins my 4k shots (sky, clothes, any surface with gradient is pixelated), here is an example/proof https://youtu.be/E38lo4BbGh8
I used Filmic Pro and HedgeCam 2 before just for HEVC, but now I am forced to switch back to default camera app only because with it I get the best audio quality (stereo) and only with default camera I get good audio quality from external mic (from all other camera apps with external mic I get audio distorted/quiet without rich/clear ambient sounds).
P.S. iPhone users are lucky in this regard because it records in HEVC by default.

How do I screen record in 1920x1080?

I am using MIUI 11 Rooted and I use the default screen recorder to record because it has internal audio support but I want to record my videos in 1920"1080 instead of 2246x1080. There is 1280x720 but the quality is worse.

Use Screen Recorder-No Ads from playstore. Ad free, doesn't requires root and tons of options. It supports internal audio recording and has various resolution options. Just a 3.3MB app.

Dude, change notch settings in miui settings. Completely remove notch and You're in perfect 1080p mode. Now record anything you want in your desired resolution! Cheers.
