Hi
I used Greenify without problems in my previous cellphone but I just got a new Redmi2 and I am running CM13. Greenify is one of my favorite and most important apps so I would like to make it work again. I live in China so I need a Vpn service to verify my donation package (which was ok in the past).
I downloaded both packages from Google Play, installed and get the message to open the experimental features, but when I try to enable them I get the message that it requires donation package. If I clic on Activate I choose my account but still can't select the special features. If I open the Play store again the Donation package appears there installed. In the information dialogo inside Greenify I can see the message saying "Thanks for your donation".
I have checked the previous posts about people having problems verifying their donation package so I have tried deleting data from Play and G services, clear dalvik cache, delete the dalvik files manually, deleting my G account and log in again... But so far nothing. I don't have Lucky Patcher either and the version of Greenify is the 2.8.1
Sorry for the confusion. The "Activate" button is not meant for donation package from Google Play. It's built for Amazon edition migration.
If you have ever clicked that button. You may need to clear the data of Greenify to be able to return to the normal Google Play verification.
This will be fixed in the next version.
Hi oasisfeng. Thanks for your help but still not working. I deleted data in Greenify, uninstalled Donation package. Opened Greenify, from there opened GPlay to download donation package. Downloaded, installed, opened, got the message "thanks for your donation" but I still get the message that my donation can't be verified (291). :crying:
Maybe is something related with being in China? Most of the time my internet has no access to Google Services. But in my previous phone (in the same situation), Greenify was working fine.

Every time Greenify is opened, it will check the status of the donation package. So unless Play Store is accessible at those times, it will not work.

That's not true any more since version 2.9. The verification result will be cached.

Verification needs a stable connection to Google Play Store. Please try that for once.

I have tried to have the vpn connected for a while but has not worked either. Will wait for 2.9 then, do you have a release date?

I have the same problem here...
I already purchased the donation package...
And i hv 2 devices...in my phone that run 4.0.4 it works flawlessly...and here on my phone that run 5.1.1 it show that the donation package is not verified...
Already tried to clear cache, data, etc but it still won't work...any suggestion???
Cz i need greenify...it's like the main part of my phone now...
Hi, Today I purchased the donation package (with direct billing carrier method). Install and active ok with my 2 devices.
But after some setting in 2nd devices (main activities is switch between non-root mode and root mede since app not detect it right), the donation pack gone of all devices and my purchase in Play Store order history shown as Canceled now. I don't know why? I surely never have press the refund button.
I don't know if my carrier can give my money back, too.
UPDATE: I've got my money back. It's ok.
same problem,i cant use it for a long time.Even i reinstall it still can not use.Can get my money back?
I'm not in China, and this just happened to me. Suddenly it says it can't verify it from Google. I uninstalled, cleared all data, reinstalled, with no difference. Program shows it's activated in the menus, but won't work. I did press the activate button before when this problem happened, but I already cleared data and such, and still no fix! Google shows it as bought
Edit: Seems something was messing with the license verification. Figures. Turned it off and it.

I am having some issues with Google Play giving error 927 when updating/downloading apps.
This happens both on wifi and cellular.
Both on my Note 2 on Sammy rom and Desire on 4.2.2.
Is there anything I can do?

I have faced a similar problem long back.. I have done the below steps to recover..
Uninstall updates for Playstore
Clear data for Downlaod manager
Keep the phone connected to internet and reboot
after reboot wait for couple of minutes so that Playstore update will be installed properly.. Then try updating your apps..
I've tried everything
I have tried evey solution that I could possible find to try and stop getting error 927. It's definitly linked to my google account/gmail. When I create a new gmail, everything works fine. Problem is all of my purchased apps are attached to gmail with 927 error. Someone please help. I'm desperate!!!! I have Verizon Galaxy S4. Doesn't matter what I wipe, if I'm rooted or not, or if I try using my account on my wife's S4... All give me error 927!!!

I'm actually having this same exact problem on my Note 3. I tried changing my Google password, but continue to have problems. I pulled a logcat and posted it here in case anyone can interpret it.

What version of the play store are you running? Also, do you have the background restricted for the play store?
Try the newest Play Store if yours is not up to date. I remember the issue in my S4 and newest version solved it after wiping data and install update.

It is a issue @ Google, nothing you can do on your phone to fix it. Contact Google support. I have a support case there, and need more people to bug them, so they have to fix it.

Yes its the same account I've had going all the way back to the first Android phone. It has gotten better. I ODIn'ed back from a 4.4.2 ROM to a custom 4.3 ROM and my market works most of the time. When it starts actign up I usually have to clear data/wipe caches, restart and wait a bit for it to resync my account. Kind of a pain, but working most of the time is better than none of the time.

How are the Play store on the web working for you when signed in with the account you are having issues with. For me I have trouble loading in anything @all. Especially the top list, and my purchases.
I believe there are issues with older accounts that did not get updated/patched with new settings after ICS update, or the 3.0+ update of their store when it became Play Store and not Android market. When I use my other account all is ok, but there I have no purchased apps.
If you want you can find the 2.3.6 version of Market and replace the Play store and you will find that all issues are gone. Now I use Legazy Play store witch can be used together with normal play. Just need to push it to system/apps on 4.3 or system/priv-apps on 4.4.
Use all this advise at own risk.

Anyone have any luck with this/ age of Gmail accounts?
I just recently started having this issue on a stock GS4A on at&t. Maybe a week ago could not get updates and wrote it off as a busy server then realized this weekend I could not get anything new.
I tried every fix I could find on the forums and even a fix that the 2nd tier Google tech suggested (no different from the forum fixes other than including turning the automatic date/time on and off). Every method was a band-aid at best: one or two apps can come through before I get the 927 error or the DF-BPA-30 error. At least the error codes are consistent...
I honestly think this is related to the age of my account. I have had a Gmail account since 2007 or so when I believe it was still in beta. I am surmising that older accounts are on an older server or something that is having issues. I made two dummy accounts and could download anything I wanted, so there is nothing wrong with my handset or connections. The temporary work-around I am using is adding a secondary gmail account and adding any apps through it, while still using primary for mail, contacts, and calendar. I am not a heavy user, so it works, but I should not have to patch it together like this!
So- anyone who is getting this error; how long have you been a Google user? Anyone else tried "old vs new" for a cause of the error?
When I replied to the 2nd tier tech I told him his method did not work, but asked to look into the account itself. I'll update if I have anything to say.

Ask to get your case transferred to apps division. There I got real help. They are really good. And have helped me a lot.
There are two possible methods to solve error 927 on android:
Method 1:
Go to settings>>”All”>>Select “Google Play Store”
Now Force Stop>>Clear Data>>Clear Cache
Now again try downloading or updating the app
If the above didn’t work, go to settings>>”All”>>Select “Google Play Store”>>Uninstall Updates
Again, from “All”>> Select “Download Manager”>>Clear Data and Cache
Rerun Google Play Store and install/update your app or game
Method 2:
Go to system settings>> Accounts>>Google>>remove your Gmail account
Now from settings>>Apps>>All> Force stop, Clear data and cache for Google Play Store, Google Service Framework and Download Manager (like in method 1)
Now again go to settings>> Accounts>>Google>>Add your gmail account
Restart your android and then accept all the Google terms and setup Google settings
Rerun Google Play Store and update or install your app.
How to Fix Error 927 in Android
Free Some Space on your device
Clear data and cache files of Google Play Store
Stop or Uninstall Google Play Store (Updates)
Add New Gmail Account
Hope it helped you....
Try the methods below
Free some space on your device
Clear data and cache in Google Play Store
Add new Google account
Uninstall updates of Google Play store
It is the most annoying issue facing by many Android users, that occurs when you download or update any games and apps from the Google play store. But for me, this error solved by the just clear cache.
I installed Greenify from the Google Play store.
From within the app, i tried to purchase the IAP donation package from Amazon.
I get the error message:
"Please install Amazon Appstore first."
Then, it opens the Amazon Appstore app, which is already installed and signed in on my device.
Follow-up:
I uninstalled Greenify from Google Play and installed it from Amazon. Then I purchased the donation IAP from Amazon. Then I updated Greenify with Google Play. This caused Greenify to lose donation status. I thought this would work because of this post: https://plus.google.com/app/basic/stream/z13ezz2pule4h3nm423pfn0h2wrvib4y204
Unfortunately, nothing I try will make the Google Play Greenify work with the Amazon IAP I purchased.

I am also experiencing the exact same issue (VZW Note 4).
I have had some issues in the past and I could solve them by following these steps:
From the Settings / Applications manager
- clean Greenify data
- clean Amazon Appstore data
- uninstall Greenify
- re-authenticate in Amazzon Appstore
- download Greenefy from Amazon Appstore
- open Greenefy and use the "About" menu
If you see "Thanks for donation", you can try to update Greenify from the Google Play store and hopefully your donation will be carried forward.
If you do not see the "Thanks message" but something like "Purchase donation pkg." then you should not update because the donation is not recognized and sure will not be in the updated version as well...
In this second case you can try to repeat clean data for both Amazon and Greenify a couple of times.
Make sure you have internet connection while you open the "About* menu in Greenify.
Hope this can help.

I swear I tried those steps twice over before posting. But in the interest of being through, I tried them again. This time it worked, so either something changed, or i made a fool of myself twice in a row.
Either way, thank you! <3

Amazon donation package still not fixed. The workaround package posted on google plus doesn't work anymore. When installed the Greenify 2.4.3 Amazon package and run it, it says "Thank you for donation" when upgrade using Google Play store, it says you have to Donate!
Right now I am forced to use a cracked version of 2.5.2, and works fine. I feel bad, but there is nothing can be done since this issue has been for over 4 months and still not fixed!
This is a recurring problem for me Every time I update/switch roms, the donation package goes bananas, but this time nothing seems to be working.
after getting the LP update for my Z2, I did a clean stock flash, with full device wipe (including internal storage), all of my other apps work fine except for Titanium Backup and Greenify, after I install the pro key and I get the "thank you for your donation", I open the app and get a message about being unable to connect to google and to recheck my internet connection.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and the key, did a full wipe reinstall of stock rom and many others (AOSP/CM) but always getting the same results, so I'm not sure what else I can try to get this to work, I've reported this on the app/key pages on the store but still no response.
I've also tried the solutions mentioned here and the Amazon fix from here, but neither worked, once I update to the latest greenify version from the store the donation key stops working.
I hope the dev can help on this issue, as it gets really annoying after a while.
Make sure you're using the same account which you bought it
First sorry for the late reply.
Second, how would I be able to download the donation key if I wasn't using the same account in the first place ? I appreciate the attempt to help, but this is not device related, not a local issue since it persists over many flashes of different roms.
When I open the app and go to the Experimental features, I get a "can't connect/error 291" in orange at the bottom, I've tried everything but the app either doesn't see my wifi or it doesn't want to see it, this seems to be an issue shared by greenify and titanium (at least for me, although both app pages are full of the same complaints from other people).
The fact that I can easily find a "working" full version online, while my own paid app won't work properly says a lot of stuff, at least IMHO.
well, I've had it with the app, I've COMPLETELY wiped my device, and Only installed this app with xposed and donation key, but I keep getting "network error 291, please check your connection", even though I'm connected and installing other working paid apps from the store, so this obviously an app issue.
I really liked the app, but the response from the dev team is non-existent (3 weeks and not even a response from the dev) , so I'm gonna try to dispute my purchase with google, no use having the purchase if I can't use the app.
I can totally understand this attitude if the app was free, but tbh when money is paid service should be provided, or at least a level of courtesy.
I hope the dev will move to a different payment confirmation method, because this one is outdated and is causing issues for the apps using it (see titanium too).

May be the Play Store is acting up. Try rolling back to a previous version. Wipe data and cache of Play Store and then try to enable the Experimental features of Greenify. Check the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566770
not likely, since I've tried with the stock store in the Sony latest rom, then updated to the latest store/services available, but still the same result.
other purchased apps I have work normally, : Lux, cfLumen, listen audiobook and others, the only ones that are not working are greenify and titanium, which use "pro key" apps.
Recent beta versions fixed some donation package related issues. Have you tried the latest 2.6.2 beta 7?
Hi, I just received my Truesmart + today, and I tried to install the google playstore and while I was able to get the APK into the watch, after it installs the playstore it fails to open.
So basically whenever I press the playstore button it'd open for half a second and the whole program just vanishes like if it got reverted back to the homescreen..... Ive also downloaded several different version of playstore and havent had any luck either...
I was wondering if you guys know if its possible to even install the google play store and get it to run on this model??
The specs of my watch are:
Android Version: 5.1
Baseband version: MOLY.WR8.W1449.MD.WG.MPV5, 2015/08/24 16:00
Kernel Version: 3.10.72
Build Number: Omate_Truesmart+_V1.1
Custom Build Version: OUI 3.0
Please help me out, I dont want to end up with a brick =(
I am curious about this too (was supposed to get mine today but the mailman messed up) Did they not include the OStore or some sort of other app program? Are any apps preloaded?
You'll also notice that you can't add a Google account within Settings-> Accounts.
The only way around that so I'm actually able to add a Google account is by sideloading "Google Services Framework" & "Google Account Manager" (in addition to "Play Services").
However, even with these installed, Play Store still doesn't work - it launches but won't connect.
Hopefully a solution is found.
Until then, I'm fine with using my LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE.
Pre-installed Apps are pretty sparse:

*UPDATE*
I've reached out to Laurent LePen (CEO of Omate) & told him the usual method of making the Play Store work (by sideloading the 3 Apps I mentioned) doesn't work on the Omate TrueSmart+. He said they're rolling out an update next week to fix that.
So hopefully, next week it'll work.
*fingers crossed*
Wow, releasing a watch without its own OStore supported seems like a big mistake. Their Facebook discussion also seems to suggest that they'll be pushing an update by the end of the year, so hopefully that holds true.
I was able to install Google search and google now launcher, but google play store won't work without "google play services" and I haven't found a version of that .apk that will not keep crashing on the Truesmart+
Since google play services keeps crashing, the play store stays on a "Checking Info" screen that keeps spinning and spinning...
Same issue here, obviously...
com.google.android.gms_8.4.89_(2428711-234)-8489234_minAPI21(armeabi-v7a)(240dpi).apk should be the correct version of Play Services, but it still crashes on me...
Does anyone have any newer versions of the Services Framework and Account Manager APK's?
Anyone, any updates?
Edit: There will be a firmware update this weekend which will pus the OStore... No Play STore, but at least it's something for now...
I just unboxed my truesmart+ today.
I think it is not useful without google service inside.
I can't sync my contact nor get my paid apps on it, it is really a bit disappointing.

Just curious, if Aptoide does the same thing as the Play Store, did we really need the Play Store? I'm away from my device so I can't test it, but it seems Aptoide has many of the same mainstream apps as the Play Store (Maps, YouTube, etc)
Could someone please answer my question re: Aptoide? Is this a viable alternative? (from a technical perspective, please no need to go into politics) Thanks.

Aptoide will work for free apps, if you install "My Paid Apps" from Aptoide you may also be able to install some of your paid apps as well. Aptoide's biggest drawbacks are much smaller number of apps, less security, sometimes apps do not get updated as often, not all paid apps will be accessible.
Another option is Amazon App Store.

Aptoide is a viable alternative to Google Play, but only if you are very careful and very skilled at being able to recognize and avoid trojanized versions of apps. The majority of people hosting apps there are well intentioned, I guess, but there are also a large number of maliciously modified apps to be found there, and cracked premium pay apps are included.
Using Aptoide over the Play Store, then, is not a good idea unless you are very skilled or have other means of avoiding Android malware mixed in with the many legitimate apps available there. If you get apps there that are really hosted there by their real original developers, for example, you can feel pretty secure.

You can download the .apk files from the play store by using this website: http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/.
This procedure should be safe and maleware free.

Hello guys.
Many users, including me, stumbled across this problem the past couple of days.
There seems to be an issue with the latest Google Play Store version, which becomes stuck on waiting for network if you try to download something at random times.
This is very frustrating but I found a fix, although temporary until Google updates the play store.
WARNING: This requires root. Also I am not responsible for any damage that happens to your phone, proceed at your own risk as always.
Without further ado, this is what this fix is about:
Go to apps, press the three dot menu on the top right, show system apps, and find Google Play Store.
Once in Google Play Store, press remove updates, or disable and enable the app again, both ways work.
If you see in the notification bar that Google Play Store is updating, CANCEL IT.
Now, this is where is gets interesting.
Normally the Google Play Store will update itself, but we want to stop that until a later date where a fix is pushed out.
Download the app called MyAndroidTools.
Open the app and select the service menu, press system.
Scroll down to Google Play Store.
Find a switch named SelfUpadteChecker and turn it off.
Voila, your play store will now be working properly.
REMINDER: This is not a permanent solution, remember to check again if the play store is fixed at a later date to enable the switch again and update to the latest version.
Have a nice day all.
EDIT 3/4/17 : I found out that these switches may further help stop Google Play store from updating.
Again use at your own risk.

EDIT 5/4/17, second way.:
I still recommend the first way because it seems the issue is still not resolved, but this may appeal to users who want something less intrusive or don't have root.
I found out that the issue is not yet resolved with the latest google play version, but I was able to make play store work again with the following :
Cleared data of Download Manager with Titanium Backup.
Clered data of Google play services with Titanium Backup.
Rebooted.
I have no idea if this will last, but I was able to download apps after this, without touching the latest verion of Google Play Store.
If you wanna be extra safe uninstall updates from play store as well, but this worked for me without doing so.
Update: 7/4/17:
Zte announced a new software update, namely B02, which should fix this issue without any user actions required.
Thanks @Choose an username... for reminding me.
Hope it works.
Thanks!
What I did was to download an earlier version of the Play Store, install and before running it for the first time, I disabled the SelfUpadteChecker.
But for some reason, the Play store still tried to download the update, it just crashed after the download. The funny thing is, during the 5 seconds between starting Play Store and the crash, I was able to download an app update.
Which version of Play Store should I use?
Just to clarify, I use the Chinese firmware, so I cannot remove updates, it is not a system app. I can only uninstall it completely.
.
Thanks man. It is working on me right now.
Glad it does.
If it helped hit that thanks button.
I'll update it soon with some further findings as well.

unbrick one is my friend's. it is cn version, mine is good.
It doesn't require a root. Just cancel updating after you uninstall updates and you are good for some time at least.
On mine, it seems to use the Download Manager app for ALL downloads, including the Play store. If you go to the settings in Download Manager, you'll see a "Download files only via Wi-Fi. Untick that box and Play Store starts working properly again.
I can only assume that the crappy Download Manager is intercepting and controlling all download requests.

I doubt it, it can't work on a supposedly uncertified device and all of a sudden stop working.
Or the device showing up as certified and all of a sudden becomes uncertified.
I personally think a play store update is broken most likely, because it has been reported from rooted and stock users, plus on other devices rather than the Axon 7 as well.
Guide updated.
@nfsmw_gr You should prolly write down somewhere in the OP (preferrably big, and where it says that it is not a permanent solution) that ZTE announced an upcoming B02 with fixes including this one.
It shouldn't be too far away since it has already rolled out to Chinese versions.
thanks for the fix though
