Latest Update Bricked XT1526 - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Was running total stock with stock recovery (Unlocked BL tho). Latest update (attached) flashed without a hitch and upon boot, hangs on the Motorola logo. Anybobdy else experience this?
UPDATE:
Restored previous system and boot image and it booted without issue. Said the update was complete upon boot despite being the old system. Then, almost immediately tried to re-update (which i assume would brick it due to it already having the new bootloader). Look forward to feedback cuz this got me bummed.

You can't take ota updates if you updated the Bootloader past 5.1 Bootloader. So if you want to run the latest firmware but keep stock flash a custom stock ROM. Or better just flash cm12.1

flashing TWRP 2.8.7.0 on android M

well i updated my nexus 9 through OTA update to android 6.0 couple days ago, then i had some battery issue.
So then i tried to flash cm12.1
what i did was, i unlock my device flash TWRP 2.8.7.0, then i got this corrupted message upon rebooting my device.
i did some research(i should've done it before doing anything:silly, it seems like it's something about the force encryption?
i tried almost every guide on xda here, flash de-crypted boot, flash stock recover, flash stock rom, adb sideload function is not working, nothing seems to work?
it seems like nothing can write onto my device as long as it's encrypted?
it works fine now, just wondering if there's a way i can properly de-crypt my device in this state and go back to 5.1.1 or CM12.1
Thanks
TWRP has just been update to 2871 and can now read encrypted partitions. Install this new TWRP.

Stuck on TWRP recovery:(

I came from cm13 and i suddenly think of returning back to stock lollipop. After a few days, I realize cm13 is a lot better. I downgraded back to kitkat and unlocked the bootloader the way I did before. Before, it was successful. But now, when I flash TWRP and reboot to recovery using flashify, it shows security boot error. I upgraded to stock lollipop and tried it unlocking bootloader there. I flashed TWRP but when I entered TWRP, I cannot reboot back to system. I cannot get out of recovery!! Pleasee help... I want to get cm13 back

Unable to update to Marshmallow

Hello everyone,
I rooted my OnePlus X using Kingroot. Now that the update for Marshmallow is available, I am willing to update my unit to the same. I had unrooted my device using the SuperSU app. After that, I unlocked my bootloader and tried to boot to TWRP and install OTA update, no success. I also tried installing the update via stock recovery but it shows installation failed.
Also tried resetting my device and then installing the update but no dice. Nor do I have the unrooted backup. Also, have changed the system font.
Tried searching the forums. Please tell me how can I update to the official Marshmallow latest build?
Device Information:
Oxygen OS version: 2.1.3-x
Bootloader State: Unlocked
Recovery: Stock
Thanks in advance!
You need this update file. Because rooted your opx!

What about the system font? And will I get OTA updates as I have unlocked my device's bootloader?

Download your current version oxygen os rom put it in sd card and flash it via stock recovery, once u done that it ll again make ur phone us unmodified system now then download oxygen os 3.1.3 from oneplus website and and flash it by stock recovery this time it ll work cos of unmodified system.
Flash this first it ll work Oos 2.1.4 download link https://s3.amazonaws.com/oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlusOxygen_14_OTA_007_all_201512161752.zip
Boot into system reboot flash oos3.1.3
Marshmellow oos 3.1.3 download link https://s3.amazonaws.com/oxygenos.o...OTA_018_all_201609291837_741146bcf28e4587.zip
Doubts? Feel free to ask
I suggest you go step by step, from 2.1.3 upgrade to 2.1.4, move to 2.2.2 then 2.2.3, finally the MM, It worked in my case, I was also on 2.1.3 and faced trouble.. Hope it helps you.
Infact, after upgrading to 2.2.2, the system should have been unrooted. Just flash stock Lollipop recovery and leave it. You should get the rest of the updates as OTA immediately.

Did you check that the OEM unlocking was enabled after you unlocked the bootloader? Maybe that can be a problem. And I guess flashing the OOS Marshmallow build is possible only with the stock recovery (if you do not want to delete some lines from the code). So I'd stick to stock recovery if I want to update the OOS.

I guess this is more logical to do right now. Maybe it's something in the system that can be overwritten after upgrading to OOS 2.2.2. Because when I flashed the beta testing ROM on my device when I had the OOS 2.2.2, it worked just fine. But I guess it won't work if you don't have an older version of OxygenOS because of the small tweaks

So, I should flash 2.1.3 via stock recovery and then go to 2.2.2, right?

You could just update the ROM by checking for updates in the about phone

Moto E XT1528 Bricked (help)

I have an XT1528 that I tried to flash stock onto but it ended up not starting from the bootloader and stays black. I have tried installing the newest firmware, older firmware, and the Verizon's tool to install the latest firmware. All have failed to get the phone to boot. The only thing I can get to is the bootloader, the system won't boot, recovery won't boot. Is there anything else I can try/do to get this phone working again? Thanks.

Try flashing stock rom via adb or else flash twrp and install a custom rom.
