I have the T-Mobile v10 that I'm using in Canada. Problem is that LTE band 4 doesn't work, it just stops working after a while. My wife has the G4 and is with the same cell carrier and her phone has no issues with band 4 LTE. Soooo I was wondering if there is any way of flashing the radio on the g4 to work with the v10. Maybe it will resolve the issue.
I don't know if this method is even possible so that's why I'm asking here.
Thanks.
I don't think so. Radios are very hardware dependent and I have never heard of one working from a different phone.

A lot of phones these days are tri/quad-band. This means they operate on 3 or 4 frequencies ranges.
I'm not from the US so I'm not 100% sure but I believe Verizon is a CDMA based network while T-Mobile uses GSM (or WCDMA).
This would mean that most phones cannot be taken from one to the other. However many newer phones are released in carrier specific versions but don't have any hardware differences. Its often very hard to test/confirm this without having the specific device in your hand.
Google suggests that the iPhone 5, 5C & 5S from Verizon is unlocked and works on T-Mobiles 3G & 4G networks. So this could be an option.
As far as android handsets go, most of the phones I can find dont have a good overlap of frequencies for both networks.
Using the LG G2 as an example, the T-Mobile versions of most handsets use 850/1700/1900/2100 for 3G and LTE Bands 2, 4, 17. Verizon uses 850/900/1900/2100 for 3G and LTE Bands 4, 13. There is a little overlap there, 3G @ 850, 900 & 2100, but the LTE coverage is limited to Band 4 which could result in some negative experiences coverage wise on T-Mobile.
Hey. Just got a Verizon LG G3 off my friend. I cracked the screen of my s4 and my girlfriend used my upgrade to get the iphone 6 so i couldn't upgrade myself. When i was using my galaxy s4 i had LTE speeds everywhere i go.
I googled the apn settings for At&t and put them into the G3 i have. It is working with HSPA+ But not LTE. I put my same sim card into my mom's at&t galaxy s5 and LTE pops back up. So LTE is clearly working in my area. But the g3 isn't picking it up, Am i doing something wrong? I've done research before i bought the phone and it people said Verizon LG G3 does support the LTE bands At&t uses. So am i doing something wrong???

Only supports ONE band that ATT uses. Which is band 4. Which is the backbone of ATT and Tmobiles LTE. So it should be able to connect to it. Do you live in a major city?

Tried that too. Still getting hspa+. Downloaded the speedtest app and speed never goes over 1mbps. I pop my sim in my moms phone and gets over 18mbps. I don't get it.,
Hey buddy, have you try to unlock other bands? I'm not sure about band 4 (since I was not looking for band 4) but there are some bands that can be use. You may want to Follow this threat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/unlocked-lte-bands-vs985-t2909150
It worked for me for band 3 and 7, I hope it work for you too
Just asking, the phone is on stock LG Android, right?

ATT uses band 4 and 17. Band 4 is the only one supported. From what I have read 3 is more for Europe.

Yeah I know, but I was trying to explain the reason about why I was not sure if band 4 was available to unlock.
I live in Costa Rica but I bought an Lg G3 Verizon phone from eBay that happens to work in here as well, the band 3 is the one my carrier uses, so I was only interested in unlock that one.
I took an screenshot of the available bands to unlock by following the link I posted.
P.S: sorry if it wasn't clear, English is not my native language ?
I have a Verizon LG G3 on Cricket Wireless (which is owned and operated by AT&T) and I get LTE on mine everywhere I go. The reason is because I have the 10b modem installed. ANY modem after 12b disables LTE on other networks except for Verizon. You need to totally restore your phone to stock (including 10b radio). There is a thread here on XDA somewhere that tells you step by step how to restore your G3 to stock and 10b radio.
Rooting and installing a custom recovery, then installing 10b modem will not work at this point. I tried that. It WOULD NOT let me use 10b radio until I completely returned to stock. Then of course I rooted and installed custom recovery.
I also have to use Cyanogenmod or another AOSP ROM because stock roms have the newer radios and disable my LTE.
Hope this helps!
The specs on PhoneArena and some articles I've read mention the G5 having a FM radio. I assume this has been removed by AT&T as it has done on past phones.
I remember in the past being able to install/flash he radio app and getting the functionality back. Is it possible to get FM radio functioning the the G5 or has AT&T disabled it in such a way that even with the proper app installed it still will not work.
Just another reason I think I'll be buying international, unlocked and non-bloatware filled phones in the future.
Yes next radio and Spirit both work on my Sprint G5 (LS992)

Tried it last night and it doesn't work on my AT&T G5
Apparently it works with some AT&T handsets but not the G5 currently. I have no idea how this works or why not all phones are supported/enabled.
Exactly, from what I've read LG G5 does have a radio but, is disabled by certain carriers. In our case the at&T has it disabled ... I know I waw bummed out too when I found out
I have an LG G5 (H850TR) and fm radio chip doesnt work on this device. (it has fm chip) I want to know if I install EU stock rom for H850, Is there a possibility of its work? Because there is only one difference between H850 and H850TR, its about Fm radio. Thanks....

At the LG G5 H850K (Australia) with H85010c_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0415, the FM radio does work without a problem.
I had the international G5, now I have the AT&T model, neither have FM radio.
Hi guys I just bought a used unlocked LG g5 sprint variant and it when I put in my t-mobile sim everything works except I cant get 4g LTE. I do get a small H next to the signal bars and internet is there but its not as fast as LTE. I've tried several APN's and no luck. I was hoping someone could help me out perhaps someone already figured this out.
I've been reading so many things on both sides that the ATT unlocked phone will and will not work on the T-Mobile network. I know for some reason the V50 will not work due to modem issues, but also read that the V60 might. Yet there is no information on this for some reason. Why is nobody talking about this?
