Go to settings. Display. Toggle Auto-brightness on or off.
I get that part I meant the settings that has something to do with with the auto brightness sensor. It just seems a bit dim in the same light vs. a sense ROM

I believe this is something with MIUI. It's been like that on this phone with every revision I've ran. Either set your Brightness to a desired level or deal with the low auto for now until/if they can fix that.

Thanks!
I have the latest version of the stock no brand. The brightness worked fine. Just flash root + CWM, the brightness does not work again. Any idea? Any suggestion?
Have you checked your setting to make sure the powersave isnt on. Also the Auto Brightness is disabled?

The powersave must be off...and Auto brightness disabled ? Is necessary ?
The is very dim if you keep them on. But once you turn then off and adjust brightness to max you will see a big different

Thanks Donsimmi! I wish there was a reason related with the operation of root ...
Hello everyone,
Okey when I had my Nexus and used the Lightflow app, and a certain notification popped up in the notification bar (that notification was setup in Lightflow with a blinking LED) with screen on it would also blink.
On my note2, if my screen is on and I get that notification, it doesn't blink. I have no idea why.
Anybody familiar with Lightflow? Any ideas how I can make Lightflow blink with screen on?
Sent from my AK-55
Have you checked out Lightflows settings to make sure that you have that checked? Also that may only be a option in the paid version of Lightflow. Im not very familiar with it but it should under settings I would think.
Edit:
Just treated it for myself and it works perfectly on the free version. Click on the app in you app drawer, click settings, enable root mode, enable Samsung mode, then set your apps up.
I tested it on a low battery and it wouldn't quit flashing or give me a notification to turn it off like it does with email and other apps so I had to set it to go off after one minute for the low battery warning. I think the only reason it didn't have a pop ip was because the battery was already at 9%. The light stayed on the entire time the screen was on also.

No problem, its a bit annoying when it wouldnt show the notification for the battery so you may have that problem in the future or it may just be cause I tested it with a low battery.

This question just popped up in my mind. It would be great if someone can answer it. I wanted to know "Double Tab to Wake " reduces battery life ? Does Proximity sensor remains on if this is activated?
Please suggest.
It seems not to make any affect on battery life
This probably does but unoticable

I think it keeps screen a tiny bit but thats why you double tap
Tap1 - wake to check for 2nd tap
Tap2 - full power,wake from sleep

Thanks for the detailed information. I am quite impressed ..!!
I did the manual update to .198
I have never noticed on the previous firmware before, but with .198 I have a night light option where the do not disturb is.
Never knew that this existed.
where is the option to turn on?

I have no idea, I only noticed this earlier when I went to turn off do not disturb. I don't know where it has come from.

What happens if you press it?
or use the drop down arrow
Has the option to turn off. Then it disappears. I found that the only way to turn it on is in the quick settings.
However it's saying that the screen is tinted amber. But it really isn't as far as my eyes can see.

Isn't the same as eye comfort with different naming?or maybe you have installed an app for screen tuning?

I can turn on eye comfort and it actually does turn amber, the night light does nothing. Very Strange.

Thx a lot Darkat70
Night Light is the built in Android version of Eye Comfort. It probably doesn't do anything because Huawei do their own thing. Weird that it's showing in settings.
Well that is odd. I used ADB and removed Huawei App Market now that night light icon and option in settings has gone.

The night light option, when I long press it, takes me to the System UI Tuner app. I suspect its a setting on there as I also have the night light option available.

I really love the system font you are using. Mind telling us which one it is and how we can use it on our phones?

there is a network speed switch, you don't need an app.
Settings/Display/More display settings : turn ON/OFF Display network speed.
I switched it off ... too tiny to read !
