Some of the most widely used app in this case is 'Amplify', followed by 'Greenify'. Which ones do you use? Post a screenshot
I use Greenify and DeepSleepBatterySaver
I made a video about those two yesterday:

It breaks more than it helps. Greenify is best of all and works almost perfectly.
Though i use amplify, it took me quite some time to find proper balance of setting. One miss and you will miss notification, app will force close etc etc.

oh so you wouldn't recommend Amplify for regular users?

nope. Wakelocks are how apps regularly wakes up to perform activity. If all works fine, you will never need wakelock blocker/amplify. But sometimes some app are poorly designed or gets stuck in getting lock and causes a battery drain. Hence you need to find the cause and block it or regulate. The caveat is if you set unbouncing time quite long or block any alarm, app might not perform correctly.
If you are keen on improving, go to amplify's thread and read on before making changes. There are various pages. Explore them

Dismayed to find my favorite torrent client gone. Any info on what happened? (I had problems with my rock solid version earlier in the week. Figured I'd do a reinstall.)
I would recommend an app called atorrent. It works better than a downloader IMO. it has a blue android as the icon..

Speeds are terrible on my set up. I was easily hitting 800/900 using aDownloader with H+ on my N4 using ATT. With tTorrent I struggle to hit 300. Thoughts?

Tried the atorrent app, not my cup on tea. I did see the website for aDownloader but it still throws errors. Was the single best torrent client I've ever used, such a shame!!!
The app is on the market but thanks to Google and there bs new rules the new version is usless because you cannot access the torrents in the app. It simply opens the browser and shows you a search list of torrent websites. Here's the adownloader apk before they updated. Works great. Enjoy!

I'd suggest using aTorrent (or whatever else you can find that works) and another app for searching databases. i.e Pirate Bay Browser or something similar
Thanks, anyway.

I've switched to the beta u torrent. Just Google my search's now. The old adownloader crashed my stick yesterday. Was 90 percent done with a torrent when the stick just froze. After a reboot, the torrent files were gone. That's enough for me. Utorrent does not have much settings to tinker with and I do not get near the download speed I did with adownloader. But its stable. A torrent was not to my likeing.
adownlader site now offline...
Post necro... But does anyone have a recent version of the apk they can pm a link for?
I have a outdated version and most of the search functionality is borked...

Based on the info by @Arsaw on this THREAD, I made a simple app to easily add more apps to the list of Ultra Power Saving Mode supported apps. If the method described by Arsaw works on your S5 then this app should hopefully work as well, otherwise, there is no way I could make it work. This app only saves the list but in no way guarantee that the apps will work on ultra power saving mode or not. There could be issues with some apps so be aware of the limitations.
This is an initial test release. I have not tested it on a real S5 device but I have tested it on my Note 3 using an S5 ported Rom and hopefully it should work on a real S5 as well.
Just download below, install, run, select the apps you want, save (make sure you grant superuser root access) and it will save the list to the corresponding csc file.
Credit: Thanks to @Arsaw for the INFO.
Tested on my Note2, working perfectly ?.

Looking good!
I tried it on T-mobile S5. It takes a very long time to enter and exit UPSM (which was already slow). I only added the additional four apps, any ideas? I do have a lot of apps installed, is it loading and un-loading all of them or something?
Thanks

Will that actually make them disappear from the notification panel?
If it is part of the app I mentioned you will cause the notification bar not to work altogether.

I just did a little research.
It is part of the systemui.apk program.
That application you can't freeze without the core functionality of the phone failing to work with it.
You will need to either find an xposed module that can do it and set that up (don't think there are any yet) or get a modified version of it and replace the one on the device.
1. I tried to use My new V10 as a voice recorder. It has the same popping sound in the beginning of all the audio files. Anyone has this problem?
2. For the Video recording on V10, it couldn't get any audio on the first second of all my recorded videos.
I tried to call LG and T mobile. They said "Nobody has those issues or complaints". They don't know how to fix the problems. LG will call me back after the investigation. The T-mobile store I purchased the phone gave me a hard time to exchange it. The manager said you will have the same problems after you get a new phone exchanged.
Can anyone help me to check the voice record function? Smart Voice Recorder and Wechat on Play store. I want to know it is a software bug or i have a defective unit.
I don't Know I should exchange it, get refund(restocking fee $50) or wait for LG Patches(when will they fix it? LG ).
Thanks.
I went to 3 T-mobile stores. They are all out of stock.:crying:
Here are the top 5 Voice APP I tested
1. Easy Voice recorder . [POP]
2. Voice recorder (First recorded second has no sound)
3. best voice recorder (red icon) [POP]
4. best voice recorder (blue icon) [POP]
5. smart voice recorder [POP]
Same here!!
I have been having the same problem and it's driving me up a wall! You can add WhatsApp voice notes and Snapchat to that list. I wonder what LG will say
Any luck?
Have you heard back from lg or found the reason?
I emailed them to no avail
