Thank you very much. I know how how to set Google Now into the buttom but not Now on Tap function
to get now on tap you must use 1st set to use the on screen navigation (i think) then go into apps > settings (cog wheel) > default apps > assist and voice input

When I double click on the apps button (not the home button) of my Atrix, it starts an app.
Does anybody know how to change the app which is starting with this double click?
hu?
Buttons are:
Menu - Home - Back - Search.
To change double tapp home, you need to go in the Settings, then applications.

In the home screen there is a button to open the app menu. That's the button I'm referring to.
Yes, and this directly opens the app drawer with a single click.
So you are clicking the app icon located at the same location of the button.

Hi there, just want to know how i would go about assigning the camera to the home button double click action?
I have searched and found a lot of old threads but not much else, forgive me if this has been posted recently, and please be so kind to link me to the correct thread.
I am running stock Android GB 2.3.4
with Kernel version XWKI4 (CF-root)
I do not want to change roms because i do not want to re-install all my apps and games (I am very low on data/cap).
Also is there a way to use my one of volume keys as a "shutter" key?
So is there any way I can do what i am requesting?
Thanks
No need to change ROM there is an app on the market

Download Home2 Shortcut from the market
That application is listed as "not working" on S2 from the creator of the app, I'm guessing because of the stock double-click function our phone has.
You can assign a different app to double-clicking the home button with homeMYhome from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299923

Unfortunately does not work with Samsung Galaxy S2.
This application starts your favorite application by double tap on key.
(Description)
-HOME key > HOME key > App
-HOME key > Search key > App
-HOME key > Menu key > App
-HOME key > Back key > App
-Long press of search key > App
-Long press of camera key > App
-Your favorite application can be started.
e.g., Camera, Browser, Twitter, MySettings
-Your favorite shortcut can be started.
e.g., Bookmark, Direct dial, SiMi Folder Widget
(Tips)
-Please push twice quickly.
-Semicircle Swipe (HOME > Menu)
-Speed-up of response
- double-tap interval to rather short
(Testing device)
Nexus S, HTC Desire, Galaxy S, Xperia
(dont work device)
Galaxy S2
(Permission)
-Directory call phone numbers
Reason : "Shortcut > Direct dial".

If that is the only reason you don't want to switch ROMs I would suggest looking into titanium backup as a way of backing up and recovering your apps/games and data without worrying about your data cap.

I enjoy that it is easy to access the themer menu easily, but it triggers very frequently when I am using the dialer widget. Is there any way to disable the menu?
Have had same issue as have others m8,the developers are looking into it
For the moment, you can uncheck "Lock homescreen Widgets" in Advanced Settings > Desktop, I think that's a little bit more slowly to appear.

The problem is that Themer has "double tap" for Themer Menu in the Gestures. When using the Dialer widget you type the first 2 numbers and it thinks you double tapped. Wish I could disable this gesture.

Hi,
Hold down on the homescreen - Themer Settings - Gestures - Double Tap - select the "X" at the top of the screen. Done

Well I find that it triggers much too easy as only a long press menu as well. In your case, just disable the double tap gesture in the settings.
But yea, that menu is popping up all the time for me when I don't want it to. Would like more settings for this. I have it set to pop up with long press on the home button. That is good enough for me. No need for it on the screen. An option to disable would be great.
Also would like an option to get rid of the red X on long presses when widgets are unlocked.
The Truesmart buttons on the side seem to only have one function (on/off for top, back for bottom) but is there a way to reassign a function to these buttons? Like long press for settings or volume or home screen?
The reason I ask is, if I'm using music or Maps I have to hit the back button four or five times to get back to the home screen to do something else, like adjust volume. This also undoes anything that's going on in the app I'm "backing" out of. Anyone have a solution?

THANK YOU! You are awesome, this solved my problem. It was driving me nuts to not have a home button!
Hi, I bought a new Mi A3 two days ago for my father.
For him display nav buttons are more user friendly than gestures but I can't find how turn on them.
In my Mi A2 I can find them on System > Gestures > Swipe up on home button > OFF (nav buttons) / ON (gestures), but in Mi A3 "Swipe up on home button" doesn't exist.
Please, any suggestions?
Not possible at moment
Is there a way to swap the buttons or put the back button on the right side?

Yeah, follow this guide, but you need to have installed adb on your computer
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/how-to/adb-swap-contextual-menu-keys-gesture-t3998955
Are you talking about 3 button nav bar? You can turn it on from Settings>System>Gestures>System Navigation>3-button Navigation (For Android 10)

Sadly not possible on Android 10, Google removed the interface which allowed swap of buttons on stock Android.
Thank you.
