Wont stay in download mode and goes to firmware update! - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im stuck in a bootloop and when i go to put it in download mode it stays there for a few seconds and then goes to a firmware update where my phone then proceeds to stay stuck at 0%. Any advice?

Is this a rooted device? Stock? Carrier?

Firmware update is download mode. You just need a kdz or tot file and lgup tool to flash the stock image

Bricked LG G5

Hello,
it seems that I bricked my H850.
All I can do at the moment is enter Download Mode, but LGUP crashes at the beginning everytime.
I can enter fastboot mode but I cant boot recovery, if that is possible I could flash a rom.
Can I flash manuelly a rom in the fastboot mode?

Redownload KDZ file, make sure it's not corrupted*
Try on multiple PCs*
Try different versions of LGUP*
Right click on LGUP and run as administrator*
Sent from my LG G5 using XDA Labs
- I have tried different KDZ. 10c; 10e. Error is "primary gpt" at 10%.
- I have tried at 2 computers and old and new version of LGUP.
- LGUP starts only as administrator
Unfortunately you may need motherboard change.
Same thing happened to me and I had to send the phone for repair.
Fortunately I was covered by the warranty

Maybe try another dll file somebody extract dll from v10i and that whats help me with similar problem. But check upgrade in lgup not refurbish.
My Phone is working again.
LGUP and LGBridge both didnt want to flash the G5.
With fastboot I erased and formatted userdata, locked bootloader. I tried a lot of things that I dont know anymore.
Result is that LGUP stopped with the same error but LGBridge flashed 10i and now the phone works again.
Now LGUP works again and I can flash every KDZ, LGBridge is doing something different that it could flash the G5.

Sounds to me like wrong lgup it's tricky to find the right one, you need the LAB version.

If by "recovery" you mean TWRP, yes.
If you have unlocked bootloader and TWRP, unless you are flashing a TWRP flashable zip, then you need to flash full H930DS KDZ using Refurbish mode. Yes, you will lose TWRP recovery, but you can add it back with fastboot.
All H930 variants firmware (including H930DS) has fastboot. What have you flashed that doesn't have fastboot? Korean firmware does not. They have to flash to H930 variant firmware for bootloader unlock and TWRP installation, then flash to TWRP flashable zip to get radios back.

Thank you for your reply ChazzMatt,
But the problem and that my device is stuck on the LG Logo.
And if I press the power + Volume Down button, the screen turns black and then restart right behind.
So do you think I can flash the ROM KDZ with LGUP?

If you've lost download mode and fastboot mode then you'll need to do the button dance to get into QLD 9008 mode--then pay for a remote JTAG Octoplus box repair fix for $15-$35 (some give $20 discount to XDA members) on Ebay
EDIT: Found him: https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=6038524 (MFKilla). Here is what he offered few days ago: "For all xda members i have -20$ discount) Im from Moldova
And on my service no need disassemble the phone =)

We are in the same boat my friend. I have a V30 ( V300L ) LG+ korean operator. I have tried to update to pie several times without success. I have used a kdz from
lg-firmwares.com so I think I have used the correct software. LG bridge says it can't read the information of the cellphone. Also I have never received an OTA.
I have used LGUP for developers to upgrade it. Once the process is completed the phone gets stuck at the LG logo. I can fix this by downgrading to OREO using the refurbish mode of LGUP. It seems that my cellphone is gonna stay on OREO for long time. At least it hasnt bricked yet.

Update for rooted device

Do we need different boot image everytime theres any update or we can update our software normally, as in case of update b45 device got bricked and need orignal boot image for that and matters got complicated.....
i used a rooted realme 6.Yesterday i got update of 3.14 GB.I updated it normally when my phone restart the update process get stuck on loading menu.so i try to install stock rom by official realme recovery but again its stuck. Now i unable to get into recovery and fastboot mod.i think my is break.then i decided to flash stock rom by SP FLASH TOOL but it cant work. Then i prey god and start my phone and it stuck on upadating menu and leave it as it is.after 5 to 6 minute my phone is start normally.so i suggest never update your phone.

Samsung a315g/dsl dead

Hi am sick right now caused i messed up i trying to google frp my sm-a315g/dsl device and it kept freezing so i decided to try flashing individual files (yeah I should get some good licks for that ) so i started with the bootloader file it was successful but now the phone won't turn on at all not even charging. I tried brom tp but i don't have the right scatter files. Can anyone help me SOLVE my problem that I caused.
What scatter???
You can't flash idividual files just like that.
You can only flash stock firmware, if you want other then you need to unlock bootloader and root your device!
So you need to flash latest right stock firmware with right region using ODIN in order to fix your device....

The phone not reading to work with Odin thats why am trying via Brom TP unless there is another way to get it show on Odin, cause the phone is not powering on to enter download mode.
Check SP Flash Tool with MTK drivers for MediaTek Helio P65 (MT6768).
Factory images fastboot stock firmware to be downloaded (not odin)

Bricked VS995 V20

I was attempting to unlock my boot loader and flash a custom ROM, I was following a guide on YouTube specifically for this phone, and he was using US99610 firmware instead of Verizon firmware (to prevent uncontrolled vibration during 1st boot) I messed up the process and couldn't get back to TWRP, so I used his patched LGup tool to attempt to flash stock firmware back, because I could no longer use my phone's screen without connecting to HDMI and using a mouse and keyboard. I flashed it back to stock and everything seemed normal, until it didn't boot at all. I then tried to reflash the US996 firmware and LGup stopped at 4% with an error: SPC code does not match, please try again. Any ideas how I can unbrick it? If I connect it in download mode the tool still sees my phone fine, with the US99610 firmware on it. I can post pictures and a link to the YouTube video for further clarification
Flash it with partition DL via patched lg up. And this is not the correct section to post this in.
