I haven't seen anything that can do that and LG's boot-loader unlock tool only supports european G4 phones. I tried the Developer Options > Enable OEM unlock, but got a security error screen on boot when I tried flashing.
I was able to root with kingroot and install twrp which was the next best thing. You have to turn off the phone, then hold power + volume down, then release power for a second then when the lg logo appears then keep holding them both. In the factory reset menu, select (yes) perform factory reset twice and it will boot into twrp where you can flash roms and make backups.
When I installed TWRP and tried to boot into TWRP I got the "Secure booting error"..
How did you get into TWRP?

Did you try flashing the normal way (instead of fastboot?)
That is, download the software for your phone, put the Update.APP in a folder called dload and put it on your SDCard.
Turn off the phone, hold VOL DOWN + VOL UP + POWER, release POWER when the Huawei logo appears, keep the others pressed until the automatic flash procedure begins. It should work just fine

Try unlocking the bootloader and then flashing the recovery. Unlocking the bootloader is not hard you can look it up on YouTube. It might work after that.
Hi, i've updated my honor 5x to marshmallow with emui 4.0. I tried to root it but i had some issues when i had to unlock the bootloader or the factory reset protection. I saw a guide in the forum that tells you need to do the factory reset to set the phone to twrp recovery. The only problem is that i need to root it but without any factory reset or something else that nees to reset the phone. Thanks for any kind of help.
For rooting, you'll need to unlock your bootloader, and unlocking bootloader will factory reset your device. So you have to face a factory reset if your bootloader is locked.

But, to remove the factory reset block i need to remove any lock screen password, but when i try to do this i can't because it says that the device is protected by admin or something else.

If the phone still works simply go into settings and remove your Google account / and lockscreen password
then choose factory reset.
plug phone into the PC
hold volume down and power to enter the bootloader (fastboot) screen.
you can now unlock the bootloader from here.

The problem is that i can't remove the lockscreen because is protected by admin or something like that

If your locked out of the phone at the lock screen it's still possible to totally wipe the phone by flashing with the dload / update.app
Hello dear all,
I have managed to brick my LG G5 like an Old Mill Brick.
My LG G5 (lg g5 h850 titan) does not boot. It comes with an error message as follows: Your device is corrupt. It cannot be trusted and will not boot.
What I already did to Unbrick:
Tried to unlock the OEM. No way from USB Debugging as I cannot go into OS.
Tried unlock the OEM from fastboot (remote: oem unlock is not allowed).
Tried to flash some things like (boot.img, system.img) even adb sideload stuff. Nothing works. I cannot flash anything because (flashing not allowed) because OEM is not unlocked, but cannot unlock the OEM because it is not allowed. WHAT in the brick do I have to do now?
Cause of the brick of the bricks:
The LG G5 was on LineageOS, all stable and solid. When a prompt appeared telling me that I have to update the OS. So I was like yeah ok whatever. BUT, it did from OTA. I also had a specific LineageOS APP for updating the OS. After some minutes (updating) I immediately panic and started worrying. BECAUSE, I knew what time it was (my device is dead). I wanted to turn my phone off but it was already in Recovery (TWRP). So I just hit cancel. BUT after booting up the LG G5 that corrupt device error appeared and I cannot manage to get rid of it.
Please I need your help! I also watched and tried (2+ hours) to manage to solve this via Google and different links and Unbrick guides but nothing happens. I cannot unlock the OEM because it is not allowed. I cannot flash anystuff because the OEM is not unlocked.
Update: So, there is no Recovery System present. No stock Recovery, No TWRP. And I think no OS either. So only thing that is present is the bootloader screen smh.

No If I hold the volume down button and Power and when the LG Logo appears I release the power off and press again nothing happens. It goes again into that error. I can go in bootloader but can't do anything with adb or fastboot.
I think TWRP is gone too :/
You should be able to get into download mode. Hold the volume up button with phone fully powered down. While you hold the volume up button insert the usb cable. Then you can flash the full system kdz with LGUP

Tried rooting and installing a custom ROM when I messed up. First, I rooted using Kingroot and root checker showed that it was a success. Then I tried to uninstall KingRoot by using SuperSuMe. Didn't work. Decided to go into recovery mode. Surprisingly, it was in Chinese. I accidentally did a factory reset on the phone and since then it has been stuck in FRP mode. I can't seem to bypass it anyhow. Used several methods to bypass and do a factory reset but it FRP remains. Also, I can't do 'fastboot oem unlock' because the
'enable oem' is not ticked off from the developer settings and the phone wouldn't let me enable the developer settings after I tap the build number. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME !!!!

I own a Micromax E484 phone and my parent has another same. To enter into the recovery console is to power down the device to off position. Hold the power + vol up button together to start the phone and release the buttons once the phone boots, after the android logo it enters into a screen where the robot lies and a red triangle with words written "No commands". At this juncture you are in the recovery mode; further commands will take you either to Chinese or a English recovery console. Now press power button and immediately the Vol up (two or three milli-seconds gap) to enter into the English recovery mode or press the power button and Vol down button with a span as stated above to enter into the Chinese recovery console.
I had accidentally entered once into the Chinese console and in a panic had pressed the power button while in one of the unknown commands to wipe my data too. Unfortunately there was no backup and all my data was lost. After i had fiddled with it for a while came to the conclusion the last command boots into the system and the first shuts or power down the phone.
According to your symptoms I deem your device has a custom ROM installation failure. I suggest you flash the phone with SP flash tool to stock ROM . If unfamiliar take to a service technician will revert to your phone in the factory mode losing all your data and the custom ROM.:laugh:

The thing is it works but i'm stuck in factory reset protection mode. I tried to unlock the bootloader using fastboot commands but can't since I do not have 'oem unlock' from the developer options and I can't enable the developer options after tapping build number. Can I unlock bootloader using SP flash tools?
Boot loader can be unlocked through two ways alone!

Unlocking Bootloader can be conducted through two ways
1) As you have stated OEM unlock through developers option. (Since you are aware no more details)
2) Using fastboot commands i.e. fastboot oem unlock (again you are aware and no details)
If you feel you are in the Factory reset Protection two ways to remedy that.
1) You need to factory reset your device. (Be aware you will lose all your data therefore backup before you try this measure) Go to settings-----> Backup and reset---->Factory data reset (tap on this and confirm in the next menu) and your phone will be reset removing all locks, FRP etc and bring you to the point when you had bought your phone.
2) If the above method cannot be initiated; access the English recovery console as stated in my earlier post. Power+Vol Up and so on.... read the above post. Here you have an option to Factory reset and will lead to the above state.
3) If the above two methods fail then Flashing the firmware with SP flash tool would be your last resort will revert to the same state as above.

Hi. I know this is my mistake. I just wanted to ask if there is any way for my Realme 5 RM1911 to be fixed. I used In depth test apk to unlock the bootloader. For those who doesn't know, it is necessary for Oppo and Realme Phones to use this to fully unlock bootloader to access flashing. After a failed installation of TWRP, I decided to just give up and continue using it. After a while my device is not certified on google play store. So after that I decided to go to my unlocked bootloader and lock it again using fastboot flashing lock. After that the bootloader ask me if i really want to lock it and chose yes. It booted and after that it is just displaying "The current image (boot/recovery) have been destroyed and cannot boot"
turning on and off and showing just like that. I cannot afford to fix it because Im just a student. I can't also access the stock bootloader eventhough I try pressing Power + Volume down or Volume Up. The only response is when I push power + volume up and down altogether, it is still connecting to computer but adb and fastboot doesnt work. Thank you very much for help.
