Hi,
I've seen a lot of root tools and guidelines, but they're all for windows... Is there a way for mac os x users to root the Elephone P9000?

I have no idea, I'm not stupid enough to buy a mac... overpriced things that they are, at least for the hardware that they provide.

The software works neater than windows though, but let's not talk about preferences... I didn't even buy it myself by the way.

No it wasn't. Windows 8 has not and will not be released to the public for arm devices.

LOL where do u get ur news?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18301673
attachment for you who are outside the UK and can't see the video, im assuming it was a galaxy tab unless anybody else has got any brighter ideas rather than mocking me
Actually I am almost sure it is a Samsung slate 7 which is an Intel i5 tablet. And nobody has yet mocked you
Some people live in small worlds that don't have SEARCH functions

I thought I'd ask here but clearly that was the wrong idea since this place is full of condescending people who just like to berate others rather than providing answers

I think that classed as mocking.
Since I got my answer this thread can be closed since some people aren't being constructive enough
Well your question was valid but you're the one stating win 8 has been loaded on the gtab. So its you who's misinforming us.

You need to search before asking or commenting. Search for the exact words I wrote Samsung slate 7 and you will see that it is an 11.6" tablet from the search results without even clicking to results.
People here are expecting a little bit of search before asking something. Because things can get out of control so easily and forum can get filled with garbage data. As you say so that needs management. Why not make a little search than ask people and use more resource

Android is also open source
Just because something isn't open sourced do sent mean it can't be done. If you have learned anything by now you need to. Apples os wasnt meant to be put on a PC but if the hardware supports it so it has been done. . There are talented people out there that thrive to done what isn't suppose to be.
There are ways of bypassing all that legal stuff.

Yeah, but HP didn't deliberately design the BIOS to exclude other OS's from running. MSFT has stated plainly that its Win8 for ARM will only run on tablets where the manufacturer has locked out other OS's at the hardware level.

Nice way to welcome new users.
I actually was wondering the same thing since it looks like the HTC One M8 can apparently run both. I would love to have a good developer phone to look at both OSs, although I wouldn't want to give up my Android OS

I dont know.
PS.
I think I know how to do it.
I know only one way to get new versions of drivers with support for the technology of the vulkan. To do this, you need to make a 32-bit operating system Android. On the one hand, this is downgrade, but this, on the other hand, is an opportunity to get what was deprived of the tablet from the very beginning.

Oh ok, do you have someplace where u tell how much you have progressed?
In an attempt to get a working psci02 my tablet turned into a brick.
On this I think that I will stop working on porting the 96th kernel. and further porting the drivers from the Shield.

Motherboard replacement only.
The test assembly with the drivers from Shield started!
The Vulcan and CUDA technology will now be on the Nexus9.

If this works our Shield should feel like a brand new device and work "as intended" when we purchased them.

Nope. Theoretically you could cook up a kludge VA using a variety of tools and hacks that yielded equivalent functionality. Nothing 'off-the-shelf'.

You'll need to do your own research; wasn't advocating a specific method/tool. Actually, quite the opposite.
