Trying to find out of anyone else is having problems with their Vivo 5 Bluetooth connection to Sony MEX-XB100BT Car stereo or Sony stereos in general. I have tested my phone on a couple of neighbor cars (a 2013 Prius, and a 2015 Chevy Traverse with stock head units) and it the Bluetooth works fine. I went to Best Buy where I bought my care stereo and they were kind enough to let me swap out my head unit for a brand new one to see if that would work. Still same problem. Problem is....it pairs up just fine, but as soon as the music starts playing, it's sporadic and the music keeps doing this on and off thing like a bad signal to an FM station. I will look for a Sony Forum and post this same question. Just hoping someone has had the same problem and found a solution.
Mine does the same thing. I have a BLU vivo 5 connected to a JVC double din head unit and it acts like it has a bad connection or something because the music keeps skipping in and oit.
blu vivo 5 bluetooth fix
go to the app store and type (find myheadset) or bluetooth spp tools pro
Bluetooth connection to Toyota's interface is sporadic, at best

It's hit and miss as to whether the pairing from my Vivo 5R to the MediaCenter of my Toyota Aygo lasts 15 seconds or 2,3,4,5 minutes.
Useless!
Also, no texts will download, and incoming texts don't register on the screen.
There's a message "Would you like to add messaging?" which - when answering 'Yes' - returns the useless message :
"You may need to operate your device to allow messaging access."
Thank goodness I kept my trusty Motorola G [1st Gen] !

I am exploring Hands free options other than a bluetooth headset for when I am driving.
I am contemplating between a a pioneer Audio Head unit CD player and can pair with 4 phones. Feed back from a few owners of this headset s very positive with excellent sound quality when using the phone.
( I have not a chance to test my qtek 9100 with this head unit)
The alternative would be a Tom Tom 500/700 - It offer bluetooth handsfree mode with phones and would give Navigation aswell. Does anyone have any experience of the call/sound quality an user experience with the wizard?
What other suggestions are there?
regards
Jass
I have no experience with either of these. I use a Parrot, and it works flawlessly. It can pair with 4 devices at once. Prolly the best $199 I've spent on gadgets.

I can highly recommend the Parrot Rhythmn n' Blue MP3 CD Head unit.
I treated myself to one which arrived last Saturday and I fitted inside of an hour on Sunday. It is supplied with an external microphone which connects to the rear of the unit and has a long cord for routing behind fascia and carpets. It paired quickly with my iMate KJam running iMate's latest ROM, synchonised the phonebook (160 contacts) inside of 2 minutes
Note that it doesn't seem to like synchonising multiple numbers for contacts with very long names.
Callers report clear conversations and I'm thrilled with it - the MP3 CD unit works well and has no issue with folder depth (tested with Artist - Album folder structure), the radio supports RDS and Traffic Announcements, and the Bluetooth Firmware update facility is smooth.
Colleagues who've used the TomTom GPS units with Bluetooth as handsfree suggest that an external microphone is necessary for clear conversation.

Thanks for that Info - I ordered one over Easter and it should be with me any day this week.

I have a xda mini s and this does not work with the Pioneer Blue Tooth Head Unit.
If anyone else actually got this to work, please let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
I tried my Audi navigator plus with both the Blue Angel and now with my new Wizard. It connects and can talk .... BUT ..... after some time the unit get into sleep mode and bluetooth is lost.
My solution ... car charger. I can set up the telephone to be up when connected. It does not go into sleep mode and the connection remains for ever.
This solution is anyhow a pain in the back side ... with my small and simple siemens I got in the car, got connected ... now I have to find the cable connect the MDA.
There is lot of information (and for the time being no solution) in the blue angel forum.
Regards.

I had a Sony stereo fitted and had my HTC Desire paired over Bluetooth for calls and music streaming. In fact any audio stream worked around the truck - great for festivals!
Now I have my HOX+ (and my girlfriends HOX) we cannot pair our phones with the stereo. I noticed, when I pair my phone with other devices, the process for pairing is somewhat different to that of the HTC Desire. Example, when I pair up, the HOX says "enter this code on the other device". Usually, we pick a code.
In any case, neither phone can see the Sony car stereo when we scan.. We just get "no devices found".
Hoping someone has some advice for me, because I'm missing my music. Using an audio cable is clunky
Thanks,
I have a Sony car stereo fitted and my X+ connects. On mine I have to switch off the blue tooth on the stereo and turn it back on but hold the BT button in for 5 seconds for it to start searching for devices, at same time instruct phone to also search and they should find each other. Hope this is of some help.
Hi, I did this but couldn't get it working. I used to update the ROM on my Desire quite often so I usually needed to re-sync the phone and head unit.
I'll try this again but it wasnt working when we did it the other week..
What head unit do you have? I wonder if mine needs a software update... it's about 2 years old now.
Thanks for your reply
Mine is a Sony MEX-BT5700U which I purchased in 2009, also worked on my Desire hd, One X as well as my One X+. Can't think of anything more to add that might be of help, pairs up as soon as engine starts.
Thanks for the tip. I'm out in it tonight so will try again.
HTC bluetooth drivers?
Could this be because of the HTC bluetooth drivers? I realize I'm just guessing, but everything bluetooth became alot easer when I changed to CM 10.1 on my HOX+

Could it be a visibility issue?
You have to make the BT visible/discover-able before anything else. For the Sony to pick it up. I think the minimum is like 60 or 100 seconds
Once you do that, make the RADIO pair with the HOX+ rather than the HOX+ with the radio. This way the Radio will tell you the pin code to enter (it's usually 1234 anyway), which you then enter on your HOX+, instead of the HOX+ telling you what to enter into the radio for code (as you would previously do, i guess, though i don't see how).
Once connected, don't forget to then see the "sony radio bt" properties, to enable "always allow" feature, so it won't ask you for permission every time your radio tries to access your phone's playlist, call list, or to act as a headset for incoming calls (if you have a microphone built into the car)
Okay, so last night I went to the car and held the Bluetooth button in for what seemed like forever. I noticed the LED on the stereo display begin to pulsate. I kept searching with the phone and eventually the phone found the stereo and it's now paired up.
I happily listened to Macklemore to the destination.
Thanks all for the help in this post
I really like this phone but can't figure out why LG Phones have so many problems with their Bluetooth Connectivity....
I have a New 2016 Honda which my V10 when I set it up works fine then.... if I leave the car with my phone and then return, the media audio portion of the bluetooth just goes into a endless loop of disconnecting... Phone calls are fine. But media audio only works the first time you go through the whole pairing process then won't work again until you do the whole process over again... When I had the LG G4, it did the exact same thing with my 2012 Hyundai until LG patched it....
Anyone else having issues with the media audio connection with their bluetooth? I've tried all the tricks like toggling stuff on / off, clearing caches, etc. Just hoping to see that it is not a random case of a bad phone but rather a "known" issues
Thanks! :good:
Exact same problem with a 2015 Silverado. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
Yep
Same here as well.

I've got a 2013 Civic SI, works great. Must be a different Hondalink platform in the newer models.
This has been my big complaint so far. Every other phone I have automatically connects to my bt receiver when I get in the car, but I have to physically connect with the V10.
So i made a thread about this a couple days ago then no one replied and of course 3 new threads on it popped up.... anyways im having the same issue with verizon. I just purchased the NEX 4100 and phone calls are fine but audio doesnt work nor does android auto which a HUGE issue for me.... Im thinking about returning it because of this. I called lg today and they of course brushed it off onto pioneer which i will call tomorrow. What do you guys think should i get a different phone? I was also thinking of returning it next week and still getting the promo stuff then buying it again on black friday for a better deal? Are these issues normally patched quickly or should i not bother holding onto a phone that doesnt work with my new $1500 sound system that i intentionally got for android auto....

I have a 2015 Accord EX-L. Have not had this problem. Not yet anyway.
However as I mentioned in another thread, the V10 does not continuously update the signal strength meter on the car dashboard. Only when the V10's screen is lit. After it goes out, you can drive through deadspots and think you have 5 bars of signal. Until you press the power button which then updates the display in the car. Since I had the HTC One M9 up until this past Friday, I can tell you that it definitely kept the signal strength meter in the car up to date continuously.
Have a 2015 Chevy SS.. Had a situation where there was no bluetooth audio with the mylink system in the car. Happened once.. Has worked reliably ever since.
Luckily for me on my Subaru system the phone has always connected properly at startup. But the audio regularly skips when playing... not jut on my car, but on my bluetooth headphones I have as well, same thing with skipping issues. On occasion my car's audio will get completely disconnected while I'm driving as well, very annoying.
Used my car's audio and bluetooth headphones with my S6 and had zero issues with them. Must be V10 issues. Hopefully a 6.0 update fixes the problems, otherwise I'm trading in again.
I'm having similar issues, 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid, streaming Spotify via Bluetooth incoming calls don't stop the Spotify music automatically and the person on the other end cannot be heard. I'm coming from the Note 4 and it never had this issue. Any recommendations?
I've got a 2015 VW Jetta TDI manual and this is the first phone I've had that works properly. I've got the LG Tone Pro headphones too, and when I shut the car off it goes to headphones almost immediately. Vice versa too, and this is the only phone I've had that video syncs with audio or is maybe 1ms off.
My thinking is it must be different bt link platforms in the car, but we should all be on BT 4.0 by now. Sorry that it's not working properly for you guys. Keep complaining until they fix it. Customer satisfaction is their goal.
My 2013 Chevy cruze works perfect. Not any issues what so ever

I was thinking of picking up a v10 but this thread makes me hesitate for now. I have a 2014 Honda CRV, and Bluetooth music in the car is very important to me. I hope this gets fixed for us all

I'm having problems connecting to my 2015 GMC Sierra (GMC Intellilink). I can connect, connect automatically, make and receive phone calls, but the bluetooth audio for music DOES NOT WORK. Most of the time, when I try to play a song via google play music or Deezer, the head unit in my truck immediately goes BLACK for about 10 seconds, I hear a whirrr of an internal fan, and it starts back up disconnected from the phone. The phone is causing the head unit to fail & restart. Sometimes it doesn't restart. It'll show the progress bar of the music, as well as on my phone. I can pause, play, next song, etc. but NO AUDIO comes out. It's just dead silent.
I actually have my truck in the shop right this second to see if they can upgrade the software in the head unit, or figure it out. I'm sure they're going to tell me I'm S.O.L. I really don't want to have to return this phone. It's perfect, aside from that 1 issue, but I didn't buy a brand new vehicle to be plugging my phone into a headphone jack like a knuckledragger
It turns out the Bluetooth seems to work fine in my 2014 Honda with Hands Free Link. It takes maybe 10-15 seconds longer than my previous phones to auto- connect when I start the car, but it does it. Music sounds on par.

Same issue with my V10 in a 2013 FR-S. Between the Bluetooth and Fingerprint scanner issues I'm returning this Flag****...I mean Flagship phone.
There seems to be an issue with auto A2DP bluetooth connectivity even if Bluetooth is connected.
After I connect with bluetooth: Oftentimes, I will have to choose the "Chromecast share" app logo on apps and explicitly choose to "connect to a2dp device" - for 8tracks and youtube for example. For apps that don't have that "share" button, I will have to play out of phone speakers first, than go in to the bluetooth details section while connected via bluetooth already, select configure for the bluetooth connected device....than uncheck and check the "Media Audio" box.;The media will than usually switch to play through bluetooth device.
Clunky workaround. I've had to do this with nexus devices too and it seems to be an issue with android OS a2dp audio routing. I believe the blame is with Android versus LG. If a2dp worked on Samsung, it's bc Samsung patched the hole in android.
Have a VW Passat 2013.Was now problem with Bluetooth connection until yesterday. Have a V10 for a week, but yesterday it was looping in connection and unable to connect back did everything what you guys did ,no luck .Very disappointing
I have this issue and it's on every bluetooth device I connect to. I literally had to put the phone less than 2 feet from my head to listen to music... Hope a fix comes out soon
Hi all,
i use my Z5 Compact for tracking my run with an Android Wear device (LG G Watch R)
I have several problems with Bluetooth. It works for some secs, then crash. After a min re-start works and reconnect....and so on..
When i use a cardio strip also the hr disconnects.
This is a video of the problem:
youtube. com/watch?v=YgA45nP8Nk4
Can you help me? I'v yet Hard reset it 3 times.
Thanks to all
I cannot offer help unfortunately but I am seeing similar things. And I am starting to think (hope, even) it is software.
My Jawbone UP3 disconnects continually and getting a reconnection is very hard, often involving a band reboot. I also have 4 TrackR tags which are randomly but frequently showing a re-paired message (smart lock device) in the status bar for no reason at all.
I've a Pebble Time but that has not been connected too much and seems ok, equally my Jawbone Jambox and MDR-XB950BT Sony headphones have been working without issue.
Possibly then it is only Bluetooth LE that is an issue (your fitness tracker would be that) and the three working devices are regular BT connections.
With luck this is something then that a firmware update will address. I hope so, because I'm bloody sick of buying broken hardware.
I use Bluetooth at various times throughout the day. I've never had a single problem with it! I am communicating with cars and obd2 systems though not low powered items like watches and headphones. Fwiw I'm on .152 firmware.
I am having massive Bluetooth Low Energy issues, I came to post about it but will do so here.
I have the E5823 unlocked in White. Android 6.0 although this started with 5.1. 32.1.A.1.163.
Basically I am concluding BLE is totally screwed on this phone, and I was about to send it back but realise the number of other BT issues people are having means it is likely not hardware on this one unit so perhaps software resolvable.
Jawbone UP3 loses connection continually, it occasionally connects and syncs, but I cannot force this.
TrackR Bravo tags work on occasion, frequently disconnected and randomly 're-pair' to the phone with no interaction (new BT device notification all the time)
Tile same thing.
Parrot Minidrone cannot be seen by the phone most of the time, it works on occasion.
All these devices are Bluetooth Low Energy. On the other side I have a Jawbone Jambox, Sony MDR-XB950BT headphones and Onkyo-NR626 Amplifier with regular old Bluetooth and all of these work, A2DP, atpX.
The only difference I noticed with 6.0 vs 5.1 is that TrackR can now tell the range by signal strength, something that always worked on the LG G4 Android 5.1 and 6.0. So I think the z5c started with issues and has not exactly improved.
Saying this there are known bugs in Android 6.0 and BLE, solved in 6.0.1. But right now I am super angry that yet another phone I buy is broken out the box. It never ends.
had BT issues, using a smartwatch (LG W100 G Watch).. but it was more frequent when used in combo with other accessories.
updating and restoring to MM 6.0 solved any issue.. so i managed to get well working, at the same time, smartwatch, cardio band, earphones and cadence/speed sensor (for bike).. all using BT LE..
before restoring and updating i got disconnections and glitchy music
Hi folks,
I've seen a few comments on bluetooth on this phone but not this specific one. I have a Kia Optima with bluetooth and when I get in the car I expect my M20P to auto connect to the head unit. It seems very temperamental though, often not connecting at all. Other times it will connect and then randomly drop connection and reconnect. Has anyone else had this or know what might be causing it?
I'm currently testing if it only connects when I wake / screen on / unlock the device which it seemed to do on my commute this morning, but then a second time it still didn't connect doing the same thing.
I'm also checking with Kia if there is a software update for the head unit but i'm expecting them to blame the phone and Huawei to blame the head unit.
Any help appreciated.
Hi, I am experiencing something very similar. Very bad audio quality during calls, and temperamental connections with Bluetooth - disconnecting and re-connecting.
I haven't been able to find any solution, hoping to awaken this forum.
Same issue here - On 9.0.0.187
Volkswagen Golf 7 2016
Voice sounds like its lagging and like metallic treble
Also i notice with Spotify will streaming music that the display unit is out of sync with what i am listening
It shows the title of the previous song that i have listen not the current one
Did you ever figure this out?
My girlfriend just reported to me that her new 6T is not automatically connecting to her car like her old Android did. It's paired, but she gas to manually connect.
I have audio speeding up and slowing down on my Skoda Citigo bluetooth with Mate 20 Pro, its slightly better than my Galaxy S8 which used to continually drop connection.
9.0.0.266, Very flakey Bluetooth since this update applied. Used to be fine before this, now i get random disconnects from my Galaxy Watch,, by VW headunit in the car, and random drops of audio from my Freebuds 2 Pro.
Starting to get rather annoying
