How to build a custom kernel? - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey!
I recently updated my z2 to marshmallow 6.0.1, rooted with xposed and a recovery of course. but i realised that i`ve lost the Quick Charge 2.0 function, which i unlocked by installing AndroPlus`s custom kernel + jackosquickcharge2.0 v5 zip.
i`d like to build a new kernel which is based on the 6.0.1 xperia z2 kernel, but with the quick charge functions! how can i build one?

Custom ROMS Failing

Hi guys
I just got dual recovery installed on my Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 XZDualRecovery - TWRP/PhilZ
Specs - Android 4.2.2, Rooted with vroot
Tablet Ready For Custom ROMS? I don't think so...
I downloaded a few custom ROMS for my tablet
Placed it on my sdcard, booted into recovery, wiped and install and FAIL, with 4 Roms i've already tried, I'm out of options
People any ideas? Am I missing a step?
Hi
What for roms are you trying to install? Even you have to flash the kernel via flashtool, when you use none stock based roms!
Devices in use:
Xperia ZL eXistenZ Ultra 4.0
Xperia SP eXistenZ Ultra 2.0
Xperia Tablet Z => Stock deodext 4.3 (waiting for eXistenZ)

[Q] Kernel 4 any rom 4.4.4

Hi!
Does exist any kernel for Rom 4.4.4 (Stock or like CM, Paranoid etc.) ? I am asking it cuz i read that Pimped Kernel and DooMKernel have problems with the last versions of these roms.

Doomkernel will only boot stock roms and I don't think @DooMLoRD has included the latest .108 code yet so won't boot the latest Sony firmware.
Jackie099's kernel (Stock with ric disabled) will boot .108 firmware.
My pimped kernel port will only boot CM and [some] AOSP ROMs and is working on the latest 4.4.4 ROMs, although it is a little unstable. I've been getting a reboot a day or two. I'm trying to get it as stable as 4.4.3 and early 4.4.4 was but I'm having trouble, and it looks like it is the same for the Z1 as there hasn't been a 4.4.4 release there even though @Androguide.fr has murged in the latest code.
Then there is my CM 11 kernel with dt2w that can be had from the second post in the Carbon thread (or on the last page or two of the thread), that should be as stable as any stock cm kernel.

sound mod for lollipop

is there a sound mod for lollipop for locked z2's? Wondering if there is a FTF of a rooted lollipop build, or will I have to build that myself since there is no recovery currently working.

Custom Rom Advice

I am using xperia Z2 for 2 months and there is a lot of problem and dislikes in stock rom. So i want to use a custom rom. Unlocked bootloader and rooted. I am looking for a good non stock base rom. Posibley AOSP rom, because i want to use gravitybox features ( and xposed). Also it should be kitkat, many xposed modules is not working in LP. Many KK project has been stopped long time a go because of LP . So is there any suggestion for a stable, fast and battery friendly rom???
Strange as it be
Latest LP version + latest xposed version
Its faster than before and the new alpha 4 xposed works with xperias
And i havent found a rom that beats stock battery life.
If any rom id use CM12.1 or stock

[XPOSED][TOUCHWIZ] for stock KitKat

I've recently bought my device back to stock previously I had flashed a cm13.1 ROM on the day I bought my device. In Cyanogenmod I had easily installed Xposed by Xposed 3.1 app but now I the app is saying that my device is not supported, I have tried V.2.7 and 3.1.1. So is there any unofficial or official way to get Xposed on my device on my <b> STOCK </b> ROM 'cause I'm bored with cm.
