Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this annoying notification in the status bar?
I don't need to see app permission management is running all the time!
It hasn't been displayed on any of my other phones running Marshmallow
This is what it looks like on pull down

I use an app called Notifications Off. You need to be rooted for it and it will stop all notifications for the apps or services you allow it for but it's done the job. The permissions manager still works as I have to grant permissions whenever accessing somewhere new in an app for the first time, contacts or gallery for example, so don't see any issue getting rid of the notification.
Tried rooting, but I'm on the latest software and you can't root that yet
Sent from my P9000 using Tapatalk
Is that 20169419? Have you been able to flash TWRP recovery?
It is rootable you've just got to make sure you have the latest version of super su which isn't what appears in the forum post on elephone HK I originally tried. Can't post links yet but I did find the correct files someone posted in the thread about the latest update. Look for a post be @new7 with a link to elephone mobile eu. I know some people aren't interested in rooting but it's essential for some of the stuff I do in Tasker.

Yes you can
the app permissions you are using is the elephone app permissions. if you go to settings and in the search bar type app permissions and then turn that off the icon will go. This will then enable the default marshmallow permissions to work in the bnackground without the icon. Weirldy elephone decided to have their own app permission even though Google has it in by default in 6.0.
Hope this works for you

Thanks for that. I did think there was something a bit off about it as with it switched off I was still getting the popups to give individual permissions. Now turned off & one less app to have cluttering the phone because I got irritated by a notification.

In that vein, does anyone know how to turn off the "phone fully charged" notification? It's my one gripe with the phone, as it messes up my night stand clock.

I've asked about this in multiple threads with no answers forthcoming. It's my first experience with marshmallow so don't know if it's an android thing or Elephone thing. Just seems strange to have a pop-up message that requires ok-ing.

I have found a solution!
1:You have to install the Xposed
Framework
2: Search in Moduls for GravityBox and instal it. Follow the Instruction off the app.
3: In GravityBox go to statusbar tweaks >
ongoing notification blocker > mark permission control > OK > restart you're device.
4: you are done [emoji106]
Hope I could help [emoji2]

Have you proved this on Elephone P9000? All posts I've see so far have said although xposed can be installed you can't actually activate any modukes properly.

Cheers got them. So there's custom ROMs already then. Only had the phone week & I've been reasonably happy with the stock rom rooted so not really researched alternatives. I'll look into it more tomorrow but I'd appreciate your opinions on the differences in performance if you spent any amount of time with stock before moving to Eragon. Cheers.
Sent you a pn about my impressions of the rom.

I'm loving this phone, I came from a Galaxy S4 and it was definitely worth the upgrade, but the "S Finder" and "Quick connect" buttons in the notification drawer are bugging me since I have no intention of ever using either app. I looked through the settings and I didn't notice anything to disable this unlike how you can turn off the recommended apps (earphones). I already tried to see if you could turn the apps off in the application manager but it's not an option. Anyone figure out if this is possible?
They're bugging me, too.

Ya know I was kind of curious so I just looked it up and I think your right. I think that those buttons where removed in the at&t, sprint and verizon versions. (along with the download booster). They are in the international and the T-mobile versions though. I think that T-mobile is the only carrier which released the S5 with very little personal modifications of there own and therefor is almost identical to the international version (which is the one released direct from Samsung). That is probably also the reason why the international roms work on our phone. I think that all they did was just install there apps. Cool! T-mobile is getting better and better all the time.
Some reason I can't quote you on this app now, but anyways; I haven't gotten my hands on a AT&T version to verify it, but my buddy has a AT&T one so I called and asked if he had it and he said no, so it's hear say I guess lol
But that would be good if we could flash international on it

This is annoying me as well. I think those not yet able to craft their own ROMs (like me), are gonna need to wait. If you're feeling adventurous, you maybe try installing [ROM][G900F][4.4.2]-AllianceROM-OTA Nightlies (the F and T models are similar I believe) and providing the developers with feedback.
Edit: There's also the possibility that [APPS][4.1+] Google Experience Launcher (GEL App + Google Search App) will work, as described by the article How to get the Google Experience Launcher on the Galaxy S5 which I found via this post (go thank him if it works).

I'm assuming he means, when whatsapp will incorporate Android Wear into their app, yes you will get the notifications from whatsapp, but when you swipe to the left, you wont be able to do anything with it other than open on phone,
I think he is looking for when Whatsapp will add the ability to reply to a message, like IE Hangouts you can reply on the watch to a hangouts message.

It will take Whatsapp developers to enable functionality into their app to allow for Wear, this is the same as ie Facebook Messenger, it will need to be updated to reply on Wear
i do also see my whatsupp messages on watch, but thats it. its pretty nice though, if you receive just an info or smth. like "ill be late.." or smth..

If you installed the linked apk and there is no reply function, I would recommend to restart the watch and the phone. If it's then still not possible to reply. I would go to Android Wear App on the phone and resync phone apps (that's an option under settings of your paired watch)
That's how the reply option looks:

OK..I have seen many posts in several forums by people requesting this feature..I just noticed this and thought of sharing..I have installed xposed module "maxlock" and locked few apps. The feature is working as intended.

Hi. Installed the maxlock but can't find the option to lock it with the imprint ?
It's automatic. Once you setup the app settings, say with pattern lock, select apps to lock and then go try and open a locked app you should see a finger print icon at the bottom of the lock input screen.

Another improvement.. As you might have noticed.. This method can only lock the app but can't hide content in notification.. I used to use an app called finger security on note 4 for this purpose.. I just restored that app from my titanium back up and voila it's working!
So now I am using finger security to both lock apps and hide content of the app.
The funny thing is even the developer of the app is not aware it's working.. I wrote mail to him and probably he is looking into it now..

To anyone not seeing screenshots make sure you select request desktop site option. Looks promising so far.
I'm not a fan of the built-in rooting function unless it's a completely open source ROM. Like, I'd rather they just support CyanogenMod officially. With all of the implications of root I don't understand why. If anything, I'd rather have some more security.
My guess would be that the root / unroot would just be for in house testing of the ROM. It would be odd to deliver that in the final version, but you never know.
How hard would it be or what needs to happen so ZTE or someone that works there would provide a program like Odin for Samsung where u can restore the device to factory settings like old times whit the captivate ... That would save lots of time for the company and for us not having to send the phone to them to reflash it ? it may be to old fashion but I don't see why not !

I'm just as excited for this as everyone else, but this doesn't seem like the right section for this until we have a flashable 7.0 rom.

Android already has a way of flashing full roms. You don't need Oden or any other proprietary tools to do that. What we need is for ZTE to release a full factory image for the US model. They already have some out for the other versions.
The way it looks they probably won't release them ?

Check on the laptop and u can see the screenshots and they do show one of them whit that option
Root device
Unroot device
That would save so much time to us at least to me I'm not to Bright when it comes to mess whit the method they have to root right now I try one time and did work so I just left that alone

Me either. But Chinese users seems to love their built in root features -- it's all over the forums as a request. And I've seen it with other Chinese devices as well. It would seem odd for an official ROM to have it built in, especially with the security focus Google has been taking the last few years.
3rd party ROMs can do what they like (with all the security features finding their way into apps now, I'm starting to lean toward it not being included at all, so the ROM can still pass tests and people can flash whatever type of SU they want then).
Most importantly I want to know why he was searching for "spang bang" on his work computer....

LOL....sorry you beat me to it! Hoping we can keep him off the porn long enough to get 7.0 out!
Someone posted a lot more pictures from the Nougat work -- oddly flashed via TWRP.

Lockscreen notifications! Never been so excited to see those. Maybe it's a cm14 build?
