L9 760 can't go to recovery - security error - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Why this phone causing so many issues?
I'm was search how to fix this, but nothing doesn't work.
I have no idea what to do, and now I creating a new thread, maybe somebody can help.
Let's start.
I HAVE SECURITY ERROR when phone power on. After message disappear, screen goes down..
- No bootloader unlocked
- No rooted
- No usb debuging enabled
- No custom rom
- No custom recovery
This is the first time connecting with PC (Windows 10) and
- No driver (this is the most important issus)
I tried some drivers and installed but because phone only show error and go to shut down I don't know is this drivers working...
- Can't run fastboot
- Can't go to safe mode/recovery mode
- Can't do hard reset with hotkeys
The first thing is driver, while PC doesn't see phone I can do nothing.
Another important thing is that I cant do to safe mode. Without safe mode I cant do fastboot and flashing.
So maybe someone can help?

The Security Error means you installed an unsigned image on a device with a locked bootloader. You have to flash the original firmware following either this or this guide. You can get out of the security error by just flashing a signed recovery with fastboot, too.

I can't put phone in download mode. Doesn't work.
Nothing happening. Only show Security error on the screen.....
When connect with usb charger phone dones'n charge.
----------------------------------------
Put the phone in download mode:
Jellybean bootloader:
Turn off the phone, remove the battery. Put the battery in, hold volume up+down and plug in the USB cable, after 1 second of the USB cable being plugged in, let go of volume down, keep your finger on volume up until you see S/W Upgrade. If you see the LG logo you failed, repeat the step again.
ICS bootloader:
Hold Volume up + down while plugging in the USB cable is the method I think.
--------------------------------------

Volume up OR down, I always forget that.
After a failed attempt to invoke DL mode and switching phone off(hard reset usually), toggling the phone's power once increases the chance for success next time. Same as taking the battery out each time.
After the restore of the stock rom phone should reboot. If it shows the stock recovery's screen instead, phone will be instable later and might brick when trying to root it. Then repeat the flash process and it should boot now.

Just remove the battery, put it again, then hold Vol UP and while doing that plug in the USB. You're now in Download mode.

Help! Can't boot into download mode.

So I've finally decided to root my S3 and run CM9, as from what I hear it's very stable now. Only problem is, I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle!
I've been following the SGS3 full update guide on the cyanogenmod wiki.
I powered off the handset, booted into download mode, opened zadig.exe in the drivers folder of the heimdall suite, selected options>list all devices, selected "Gadget Serial", clicked "Replace Driver". A message popped up saying it was successful. The guide simply says to power off the device and reboot into download mode again. However, after this I could not power off the device. The power button wasn't working and I got no response from pressing any of the buttons on the device. Eventually I decided to open it up and remove the battery and then try to boot into download mode again.
Now, it doesn't boot into download mode at all. Every time I hold the volume down and home buttons, I then connect the micro USB and nothing happens at all - it just begins charging. The phone can boot normally and appears to be functional apart from this, but this is stopping me from being able to root. Anyone know what could be the problem?
Thanks!!
Just tried factory reset and still no dice.
Has anyone come up against this before?
And, just to be sure, you are holding down the power button when you press volume down & home on a powered off GS III, right? Since you say you're rooted, you can boot into download mode from the phone itself:
Grab https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=en
Run su reboot download
Yup, I was. Seems that after enabling USB debugging after factory reset, the problem has resolved itself. Thanks for your help anyway

[Q] Stuck on Samsung screen

Samsung Galaxy S 2 AT&T
Jellybean
Rooted about 3-4 months ago
The phone was fully charged and on the arm of the chair in my peripheral vision. I saw the Samsung logo come on and since then nothing has changed. I can't go into any mode (vol+, vol-, pwr). Cable connection to the computer shows no response that anything is connected to the computer. I took it to AT&T and they said there were issues with the last update that caused irreparable issues. (Of course they want to sell me the latest and greatest) I got a new S 5 but I would like to pass the S 2 to my daughter. I didn't lose any apps, pics or data. I just want it back to stock + rooted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Just to be sure, are you holding vol +, vol -, pwr until you see the samsung logo the SECOND time?
It isn't always necessary to wait the second cycle, but it ensures that the key command is correctly registered by the phone.

I tried again making sure to release all buttons when I saw the logo the second time. I also tried again releasing the pwr button only. Nothing is working.
You need to see if the phone will go into download mode. There are several ways to put the phone into download mode. You should try all of them that you can before you give up.
Download mode:
1. With the phone off and connected to the computer via USB cable, and battery installed, hold all three buttons, vol- vol+ pwr.
2. With the phone off and battery installed, hold vol- and vol+ (but not pwr) while plugging in the USB cable.
3. With the phone off and battery installed, hold vol- (but not vol+ or pwr) while plugging in the USB cable.
4. Attempt each of the above three options with the battery removed from the phone. The computer will supply the power to the phone.
5. Use Android Debug Bridge (adb) which will only work if USB debugging has been already turned on in Developer Options, since you can't boot into the system to turn it on. With the battery installed and the phone connected to the pc via USB cable, use the command "adb reboot download".
6. Use a USB jig. With the battery installed insert the USB jig into the USB connector of the phone. Some have reported that this method works when no other method would work.

Okay. I was successful using option 1. However, I installed the SIM card (for my daughter's phone) and it has been stuck on "Downloading..." for around 6 hours or so. Should I have downloaded a stock OS or something? Is it waiting for me? Is it pulling the factory default OS OTA?

Sorry I didn't include more information in my previous post. Putting the phone into download mode just lets us know that the phone can be recovered, but it doesn't do anything by itself. The process of recovery is to use the Odin program to install a fresh stock firmware onto the phone. Since you appearantly are unfamiliar with the process, I will explain in detail.
First, download the stock 4.1.2 Jellybean Full distribution, I777UCMD8 from the Download Repository. (link in my signature) It's the next to last item near the bottom. The downloaded file is in seven-zip (.7z) format and you need to extract the contents using an archiving program. The resulting file, which will have a ...tar.md5 extension, is the file you will use in step 7 below. Also download Odin3 v1.85. There is a link near the top of the page in the Repository.
How to use stand-alone Odin3 to flash firmware:
Follow and recheck each of the following steps. Do them in order listed, as some steps are dependent on previous steps. Instructions are for Odin3 v1.85. It should work with any version of Odin, but some details, like color of items, may be different.
1.) Open Odin on the Windows Desktop.
2.) Have the USB cable plugged into USB port on the computer, but *Not* plugged in to the phone.
3.) Shut the phone off.
4.) While holding down the vol+ & vol- keys, plug micro-usb plug into phone.
5.) In Odin, you should get the yellow box under where it says ID:COM with the text 0:[COMx], and in the Message area, <ID:0/00x> Added!! where x is some number, usually 1-8.
6.) In Odin, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked and all other items are not checked.
7.) Click on the PDA button. Browse to the tar file you want to install and select it so its path appears in the text edit box next to the button.
8.) Make sure the check box next to the PDA button is checked.
9.) Click the Start button.
10.) You should see the green progress bar advancing.
11.) When complete, you will get a PASS (or FAIL if unsuccessful).
Since you are unable to get into recovery mode now, you may have to enter recovery after the firmware flash is successful if it won't boot on the first try. Use the instructions earlier in the thread to enter recovery, and perform a wipe data/factory reset.
Once you have the phone up and running, Framaroot with the Aragorn exploit is the easiest way to root.
If you need further help or instructions, feel free to ask.

How I unbricked my LG-E450b

I think this should work for people who cannot get into recovery mode, computer cannot detect the phone or have security error message.
How I bricked my LG-E450b
I thought rooting for this phone was like my Samsung phone, so I installed Kingo-oneClick-root, got root and deleted all of the bloatware.
Little did I know that I could actually brick my phone by deleting some LG apps (Stupid LG).
Symptoms of my bricked phone
Secruity error message
Phone would not be able to go into recovery mode (Volume down + Camera button + Power button). It would restart after 3 seconds or so after the android loading gif.
Phone would not be detected by the computer
LG support tool could not detect phone (since computer cannot detect phone)
LG support tool would stop at 4% when trying "upgrade recovery"
I was basically stuck and thought my phone was hard bricked. So I started playing with the phone hoping for some magic thing to happen and I got lucky!
How I fixed my issues
Remove case and connect the phone into the computer with standard usb cable
Power into recovery mode (Volume down + Camera button + Power button)
Just before the phone displays the security error, remove the battery (phone still connected to computer).
Put battery back in and turn on the phone normally (no recovery mode)
If it worked then there should be a white message on the bottom left of the phone saying "Download mode: "
Optional: If the computer shows that the device attached has an error then you are in the right direction! Go into device manager (run devmgmt.msc) and right-click on the device that is not detected and uninstall
Optional: Hold power button until the device shuts down and repeat from step 2, the next time you get into download mode the computer will detect your device
Open the LG Support Tool (almost done) (attached in this other forum post)
The phone should get detected by by the LG support tool. Try to update the firmware. If the Support tool says that you already have the latest firmware then go in Options->Upgrade Recovery and put the model number or IMEI/ESN/MEID of the phone and click ok; the recovery process will start and your phone should work
Note: If the phone is not detected by the LG Support tool, then it will not work (it will stop at 4% when doing the upgrade recovery). The phone has to be detected for this to work.
Conclusion
These are things that worked for me, but I am no expert. This is not a full proof guide and I am only posting the steps that made the phone work. It might possibly be that you don't have to do all the steps described above to get into download mode, i.e you would just have to remove the battery at the right time to activate the download mode.
I am posting this describing the exact steps I took, so this can hopefully work for someone else.
Good luck!
TL,DR : Remove battery just before the security error message and reboot phone to get into download mode.

Bootlooped samsung a10!

I've been trying to install TWRP on my phone (SM-A105F)
I've done rooting it
I flashed it through the TWRP app in the play store.
I tried to backup my recovery in case of emergency
As I tried to flash it which is successful, I power off my device to go to my recovery mode which I assume is now TWRP
To my surprise, this leads me to boot looping my phone. I tried to disconnect my battery hoping it can end the loop but it doesn't.
I was hoping to flash my backup recovery but I can't access the download mode.
What am I supposed to do
Edit: Nobody is answering so I decided to embark on my journey on my own. And in doing so I was able to learn the ways to unblock my device.
The goal is to go to download mode of your phone as soon as possible.
It's easy, just press volume up and power off while an USB is plugged in your computer. This will lead you to download mode of SM-A105F. (Works even if bootlooping)
After that, download your device's firmware (AP,CSC etc).
Once you download, flash them all in ODIN. AP= AP , BL=BL and so on.(I guess you have the brain to figure this out, unlucky for me I didn't figure this right away)
Just wait and boom! New device, new firmware.
ALTERNATE:
If your ODIN isn't working, just restart your phone to download mode and try again.
I'm having a similar issue on an A10s, bootloop and can't enter download mode. the PC isn't even staying connected to the phone. it's like a 1 second connect then disconnects in an infinite loop.
Make Battery no charge.
Press : Vol_UP + Vol_Down and connect phone to PC by cabel.
Hold buttons until the phone displays The Download MODE.

Sony Z Ultra - C6883 Unable to get into fastboot mode

The phone has been in the drawer for quite a long time (5+ Years)
I come to try flash root to it and it wont boot into fastboot. all that happens is a black screen and nothing else.
ADB reports it as being there till it reboots ( 'adb reboot bootloader' ) , when the phone reboots its a black screen and if i plug in a usb lead then i get the standard windows was unable to recognise this device. ( Attached is a device manager Grab of it )
I have tried to use Flashtool64 (latest version) it reboots to the same black screen. The only way then to get it back to a usable phone is to unplug the lead and press the power button till it vibrates.
I have spent 10+ hours reading and reading everywhere and nothing that has been suggested has been succesful.
This is my last hope ( I realise its a 10 year old phone) and am hoping someone can help me sort this out.
Many Thanks in advance

Tried that.i have spent a very long time on this. Starting to get to the point that the phone is poop. And needs to be binned
To confirm the functionality of the equipment.
Can you transfer files from/to phone in adb mode?
Yes, the device problem only happens when it reboots to bootloader for fastboot access. I think bootloader is corrupted . Can't flash new one without boitloader/fastboot access. Well that's my understanding
What about flashmode?
Flash mode:
1) Connect the USB cable to the computer (do not connect it to the phone yet)
2) Turn off the phone
3) When the phone turns off, plug the USB cable into the phone and hold the Volume Down button
4) The phone should boot into Flashmod mode!
Your Xperia Z Ultra should be in Flash Mode now and the device’s LED light should turn into Green
Fastboot mode:
1) Connect the USB cable to your computer (don't connect it to the phone yet)
2) Turn off the phone
3) When the phone turns off, plug the USB cable into the phone and hold the Volume Up button
4) The phone should boot into fastboot mod!
Your Xperia Z Ultra should be in Flash Mode now and the device’s LED light should turn into Blue

Same. Even EMMA doesn't work. Which was a suggestion. Or flash prog (used old and new) all seem to reboot to bootloader/fastboot which has same error as stated.
The usb vol down with plugging in usb / power on doesn't work either.
neither does the vol up + power / usb
ammended to clarify
when powering up/vol down i get a short vibration, then it boots normally. pressing vol up + power gets black screen.
usb + vol Down does nothing, usb + Vol up also does nothing
I am thinking that the phone is not booting into a software that 'tells the USB what it is. Th OS boots fine tho and it sees the phone and can xfer to and from the phone
