[Q] SIM refuses to re-activate!

I wanted to switch to my BB 9650 (a 3G phone, no 4G SIM needed) for awhile so I changed phones on VZW's website, now I can't go back to the Thunderbolt! I can't get the SIM to activate, called CS and they said it should NOT have been deactivated in the 20 hours that I had the BB active!
I ordered a new SIM and it'll arrive in a couple of days but my question is this:
HOW CAN I KEEP VZW FROM DEACTIVATING MY SIM AGAIN????
I switch phones often, I'll activate the T'Bolt when I get the new SIM but I'll probably switch back to the BlackBerry again.
I have a VERY bad habit of playing with phones, with T-Mobile I changed phones as often as twice in an hour, from Android to WinMo to BB and back again, I never had a problem.
NOTE: When I first went to VZW from T-Mo I got a LG Revolution, was unable to use it with my email (LG CS said they block my ISP on their phones!) When I returned it and got the Thunderbolt, the sales person switched SIM from the LT to the HTC phone and VZW CS says that *might* be why I'm having a problem?

When an LTE SIM is deactivated they tend to stay that way. I doubt switching it from one phone to another would be the issue.
They do not reactivate. But when doing your esn changes u might want to call VZW and let them know to leave the sim on your account Doing by comp will prolly auto boot the sim. the sim is not tagged to a phone but to the account. GL its a pain in the **** till they go complete sim network (ATnT). Then no more esn changes , jus pul the sim from one phone to another.
each time you switch to a 3g phone your sim will get killed, their system does it automatically, no 5hrs or 24hrs bs,it is dead as soon as the 3g phone works.

[Q] How to switch between LTE and non-LTE phones without going into the store?

Hopefully some of you have ran into this problem before. I have a Thunderbolt (obviously) since it was released and I now have a Xperia Play non-LTE phone. I want to be able to easily switch between them:
- without going to the store
- without "breaking" the simcard and needing another one
How can I switch the service inbetween the phones? I did this one time many months ago and I had to go to the store and get a new sim card, which is ridiculous.
Thanks!
I was told by Verizon Customer Service that it was not possible. To switch between phones required a visit to the store. My nearest store is 60 miles. Nice.
That's a pretty big failure on their part. I hope it is at least possible to easily switch between LTE phones (LTE to LTE) like it is with old 3g phones.
easy as taking out the 4G sim and putting it in the new phone (LTE to LTE phones)
I did this last week when I got a replacement Thunderbolt....
LTE to 3G device:
Switch online, or *228.
3G to LTE device:
Buy a new sim and activate it online. It is literally impossible not to destroy your sim when switching to 3G.

Going to a non-LTE phone is easy, do it online but to switch back isn't easy, try this:
1. BEFORE switching to a non-LTE phone turn off your T'bolt, remove the battery and SIM and DO NOT PUT THE SIM BACK IN OR TURN ON THE PHONE UNTIL STEP 3. However long you use the non-LTE phone, don't put the SIM in the T'Bolt until you're into step 3 below and the SIM is accepted.
2. Switching back to LTE, log onto VZW, switch back to the T'bolt which MUST BE STILL OFF WITH SIM REMOVED (and battery removed for safety sake!)
3. You'll get a message that you need an LTE SIM so follow the procedure to enter the SIM number while it's still out of the phone. If it accepts the number, put the SIM and battery back into the phone and you're set to power it up.
4. If you get a message that the SIM can't be activated, click on the "Send me a new SIM" link. You'll have to wait 3 to 4 days or more to get the new SIM but it saves driving to the store. When the new SIM arrives, repeat step 3 with the number from the new SIM.
NOTE: If you insert the SIM and turn on the phone before the SIM number is accepted the SIM will be dead so don't do that, OK? You can kill an unlimited number of new or old SIMs if you don't get the number accepted first!
Does this mess with your unlimited data? Can you go back and forth without losing 4G unlimited? (Obviously you only get 3G on the non-LTE device)
I ask because I'm probably going to switch to the global iPhone until a 4G Global Droid comes out.

You will keep your unlimited data 3g or 4g.

AT&T One was sim unlocked, but it's relocked itself?

I got an HTC One from AT&T back in June and immediately unlocked it. It worked fine with T-Mobile prepaid for a month, but the coverage sucked. I went back to AT&T prepaid.
I got a new Nexus 5 and am selling the One.
When the guy came to buy it, he popped in his T-Mobile SIM and the phone asked for a PIN on boot. What gives? Did the phone re-lock itself? AT&T customer service seemed pretty clueless on this...

It appears that his T-Mobile SIM card has the pin lock enabled, has nothing to do with your phone. It requires the SIM pin code to be enabled any time it's inserted into a phone.
Once your phone is carrier unlocked it will never re-lock itself.

I don't think that's true. I had a SGS2 i777 (AT&T) that I got AT&T to give me the unlock code. My son was using it on T-Mo prepaid. Once he put the sim in an old phone and try to set a passwd, but ended up locking the sim card. Put the sim back in the SGS2 and had the same problem. Called T-Mobile to get the PUC code. Typed the PUC code in, and the SGS2 gave a message about sim locked. Called AT&T again, and had to get the sim unlock code again.
My wife's iphone 4 had been unlocked previously, and a few month later had to call at&t again to unlock it. Don't know what caused the re-lock (she never used non-AT&T sim after the 1st unlock), but it can happen.

Unlocked SM-N900P, SIM Unlock each restart

Sprint internationally unlocked my phone for my move to Germany. I signed up with T-mobile (Germany) and the phone works flawlessly as it pertains to voice and data. The only issue is that every time I restart the phone, or in the event the battery dies, I have to manually enter the Sim Unlock code each time, prior to using the phone. The 2 x Iphones my other family members use, have an option which saves the sim unlock code and thus, there is no requirement for them to manually input the SIm code each time their phones restart.
Is there a way to do this with the SM-N900P?

How do i know my htc one max is gsm or verizon or sprint

I want to update my one max to marshmallow but i found three types of updates gsm, verizon and sprint how do i know what is my phone type
the verizon phones have the verizon logo in between the back and home button instead of the "HTC" logo. On other phones, pop the back cover off and check the model. Mine is HTC6600LVW thats for verizon phones. Google whatever number you have. hope it helps
