Unlocked SM-N900P, SIM Unlock each restart - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Sprint internationally unlocked my phone for my move to Germany. I signed up with T-mobile (Germany) and the phone works flawlessly as it pertains to voice and data. The only issue is that every time I restart the phone, or in the event the battery dies, I have to manually enter the Sim Unlock code each time, prior to using the phone. The 2 x Iphones my other family members use, have an option which saves the sim unlock code and thus, there is no requirement for them to manually input the SIm code each time their phones restart.
Is there a way to do this with the SM-N900P?

[q] is my phone unlocked???

Well, over the weekend I tried to unlock the phone on my own and I felt and did most of the steps but others I couldn't complete. I never entered the unlocked code into the window that asks for it after inputing the 4 digit sim unlocked. I had given up, and asked a friend who has been a customer with Tmobile to ask for the unlocked code for me....He Did and I just got it 1 hr ago.
Something strange happened now that I tried to put in the code.
I Don't see the Screen to input the UNLOCK code. After typing in 4 digit code to unlock SIM, it goes straight to phone and the network been detected is ATT. I guess whatever I did on the weekend did unlock the phone. I just called myself and it says, "Your Call did not go through"
Also I started to received SMS from the SIM Provider (TMN PORTUGAL) about the credit available for calls and about Roaming....
What do you guys think? What else should I test? Did I unlocked this by accident?

Well, if the phone its locked to AT&T then you call AT&T. There is no way to unlock now though from what I understand unless of course AT&T can for you. This its why you should NEVER just guess at the unlock coffee and instead call the company you bought the phone from or get an unlock code online for less then $20 usually.
To check root install an app that needs root (root explorer works, as does any other asp that says needs root)

Has anyone bypassed the t-mobile data problem

I have been digging through the threads and it gets confusing with different people referring to unlocked tablets that are overseas etc.
I have a tmobile US springboard that is running the most recent rooted mediapad rom from this board (it runs great btw).
I was hoping I could use this device as my phone. I rarely take voice calls on the phone. I have Bluetooth in my car which is really the only place I talk to anyone and I have a Bluetooth headset if I need it. Most of the time I send texts and use data.
The problem is that when I put my phone sim card in the tablet, phone and sms work fine but data stops working (more specifically, it redirects to my.tmobile.com). From what I have read, I think we are just going to have to deal with it for now but I wanted to see if there are any options because some people thought that removing the imei file would help. There is also some stuff about data in the build.prop for the device.
How about getting a device subsidy unlock code from t-mobile? I should be eligible.
IMEI unlock
I copy and paste tmobile policy as blow:
support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1588
" For information on the SIM Unlock Code, refer to the following:
If you purchased a device from T-Mobile, it has been programmed with a SIM lock which will prevent the phone from operating with other compatible wireless telephone carrier’s services. If you wish to use the phone with the service of another wireless telephone carrier, you must enter a numeric SIM Unlock Code to unlock the phone.
If you have a Postpaid Plan, T-Mobile will provide the SIM Unlock Code upon request to eligible customers, provided the requesting customer has a minimum of 40 days of active service with T-Mobile and did not request a Subsidy unlock code in the last 90 days.
For customers with a Prepaid Plan, T-Mobile will provide the SIM Unlock Code upon request to eligible customers, provided the requesting customer has a minimum of 60 days of active service with T-Mobile and either a Prepaid Plan account balance of at least $10.00 or a prior refill within the last 30 days.
T-Mobile will provide the SIM Unlock Code upon request to eligible former customers, provided that T-Mobile has such code or can obtain it from the manufacturer.
If you paid full retail price for a device, you qualify to have the SIM subsidy unlock code providedif you meet the following requirements:
The device must have been purchased at a T-Mobile retail store or authorized T-Mobile retailer.
The device must be paid for completely. You must be able to fax the proof of purchase to T-Mobile."
As indicated if the device is paid for completely, we qualify to have the unlock code. Have you or anyone tried to get an unlock code and tested?
I bought a Springboard on ebay and signed up for prepaid data for 60 days with tmobile after which time I requested a SIM unlock. I received the unlock code and after inserting my AT&T sim I'm able to make calls , get data, and text.
I can't specifically verify which bands on ATT nor whether I am getting real 3G data. I can verify that I am able to talk, text, get data.

If you're able to get more than 384kbps then you've got HSDPA/HSUPA/HSPA or whatever (real 3G is 384kbps). On most country, the signal label would change to H, on T-Mobile it would probably change to 4G. I can't exactly verify the label change though, since I'm on a data plan with 3G only speed (so my top speed is 384kbps).
If you can't trust the label then use those speed test app and verify it yourself.

I have a question: Since your device has updated firmware (mine is running ICS), does it mean it has been unlocked already? Have you tried a SIM from another carrier? In another word, will updating to a generic firmware unlock tablet automatically? My reasoning is that all the coding/decoding is through software and an updated generic firmware removes all the T-mobile stuff as far as I can tell. The software that is in charge of sim lock is very likely been replaced as well. My doubt is that people can then buy a Springboard with data contract at a much lower price and update the firmware to remove the lock. I bet T-mobile is smart enough not to let that happen.
I finally got the unlock code from T-mobile and bought an ATT sim card. Unlock is not that as simple as I thought to be. Strangely, my ICS does not pop up the unlock code entering interface. I cannot remember from which post I downloaded the ICS. It is within "the" giant thread. By using the famous ()()2846579()()=, it showed nothing after "SIM card lock state". So I flash back to HC3.2 and unlock the device in the pop up interface. After flashing again to the most recent general firmware from huaweidevice.com, it shows "SIMLOCK_DEACTIVE" after "SIM card lock state". Recalling the sim card lock status is one of the features installed after a second boot during the installation and I did not recall my first ICS did that, I am wondering if the first ICS does not install the component related to sim card lock status. Probably my springboard under first ICS is unlocked by software.
Anyway, I am pretty happy with the latest version and have an officially unlocked springboard. From this experience I learned that SIM card lock status in general does not change after update the firmware (at least the official one). And probably someone can do it by modifying the firmware by his/her own.
By the way the ICS I first had has no fastboot option.

I am thinking of unlocking too and I am wondering where you found the HC3.2 to flash? I searched the forum and the only one I found appeared to be made up of many smaller files. There appeared to be multiple versions of files and I was not sure which ones I needed and how to flash them.
If you only want to unlock, flash the latest ics for general purpose from Huawei. The unlock interface appears after you insert a sim card other than tmobile.

Unlocked i9300 still not... unlocked

I purchased a phone that was supposed to be unlocked. But when I received it, it had been a Claro gs3. Naturally it did not work with T-mobile. So I rooted the phone then unlocked it. Looking at the status of the phone with two different apps (galaxsim unlock and galaxy unlock), and both say product code: gt-i9300mblpct ; Accepted MCC/MNC: all ; Network Lock: unlocked ; then lists several other things that are all unlocked. Says nothing is locked in either of the apps. And yet the screen that asks for an unlock code still pops up, and the phone cannot connect with T-mobile, even though I have an activated microsim in it. When I first received the phone, I purchased an unlock code, that worked for about a day. When I turned it off and then back on, it asked for another unlock code (the old one wouldn't work). Also, all of those special *#xxxxxx# type codes do not work, it does not compute on the phone for some reason. Any ideas what is going on or how I can make calls and receive texts on it?

[Q] T-Mobile Gear S on AT&T question

Yesterday I purchased a brand new sealed T-mobile from someone and I was aware that I have to have it unlocked before using on AT&T.
I sent email to sim-unlock.net asking them about the cost and the turn-around time.
Today I received email from them asking:
"What message appears on the screen when You insert an unaccepted simcard"
as far as I know this is the regular procedure with any android phones
that are locked to a carrier:
1: Turn on phone with a SIM card inside from another carrier
2: A menu will pop up to Insert the code.
3: Insert the provided code and press OK
4: Device is unlocked.
==============================
Just for the heck of it, I inserted an active AT&T sim into my Gear S to see:
1) if by some crazy luck the watch/phone is unlocked .....or
2) If I get the pop-up text asking to insert the unlock code.
However, this is the pop-up text I am getting:
""Insert SIM card to access network services"
This is strange because the GEAR is also showing a small SIM icon with "X" across in the right upper
corner (indicating that NO SIM card is inserted). I am 100%sure the card is inserted correctly.
Any advice regarding unlock services and how to make the watch work on AT&T will be greatly appreciated.
I am really puzzled why the Gear is not seeing the card being inserted and I presume that is of course
why I do not get the popup to insert a the 'unlocking code" (once I would purchase the unlock service)

I believe there is a whole thread dedicated to this, the elusive mm6 error. If it was purchased outright, Tmobile should provide an unlock code with minimal fuss. All that being said, I dont think it will work or anyone has had any success doing it. The tmobile wearables only plan is stupid cheap as it is so that may be an option too....
Thank you very much for the quick reply.
I am mostly puzzled though that the AT&T card was not even recognized (i.e no popup note about entering the unlock code.) and I am not seeing any mm6 error.
"IF" I can get it unlocked by T-mobile, how will the 'watch know" that it is unlocked if it never was on a network and if I am not
getting the popup text to enter the code. (will I have to put in an active T-mobile card so the device gets the info from T-mobile
networks and be unlocked?)
In other words - how does T-mobile unlock it if the device is not asking for the unlock code?
Thank you.

ok. first, the watch doesnt know anything, its a watch not an AI. Id be more concerned that its not asking for a code, you may have a dud sim card that isnt activated, Ive seen that behavior even with Tmobile sim cards in Tmobile devices, the device just wont recognize it until its active. You dont have to activate it on the Tmobile network, you give them some numbers off the watch and they will provide the corresponding unlock code, and in some cases even the unlock procedure, but you should definitely getting some sort of prompt on the watch.
Ok, thanks for confirming that there SHOULD be a prompt on the watch. The SIM I tried is not a dud for sure. I have NOTE 4 so I could not use my SIM, so we popped out nano ATT SIM from my friend' iPhone 5 and put it inside of the GEar. As I said above - Gear did not registered the card at all and no prompt for a code was give. We know the SIM is OK, because we put it back into the Iphone and it works normally.
Good news!
I inserted another AT&T SIM card and this time watch recognized the SIM and the popup message on the screen is:
"Enter Network Lock" with a keypad below ready for the unlock code to be entered.
Can anyone recommend a reliable and FAST unlocking service? Thus far I am considering sim-unlock.net
Thank you.
You can buy unlock code for SAMSUNG Gear S from unlockcode247.com

Yea, iPhone SIM wouldn't be recognized. Kinda wish I had GSM instead of CDMA. GSM has the advantage of auto call forwarding.
When I used to do contracts with AT&T I would always unlock my devices with http://www.cellunlocker.net/ I didn't try it with the Gear S because I bought it outright and got the unlock code from AT&T for free.
