When you turn on full brightness, and keep the background screen as black (take photo in dark without flash and open it in gallery full screen it or download some wallpaper) and in a dark room try to see if you find any black lines and spots on the screen lcd
Motorola forum is saying its normal ?
Should I replace my phone or exchange it for some other Motorola device ?

Answer is YES and NO :
Do I have these spots : Yes , me and majority ( may be all cant assure that ) of other users have reported these spots.
Any problem with is : No
Can it be fixed : No
Can I use dead pixel app to fix it : No - Coz its not a dead pixel
Reason : Razr used S-Amoled screen , when u club this with super thin design the manufacturing process gets complicated when you look at the price at which Moto is offering this phone to us. As you would have notices this is recreated only in a pitch black room , so it really should not be a problem on a daily use ..
some people claim :
" It’s a consequence of AMOLED pixels being organic – they are prone to degradation if they are briefly exposed to conditions like moisture during manufacture. It is a manufacturing defect all users will have to live with because AMOLED technology hasn’t matured enough to get rid of this. "
And yeah .. some of the Nexus One, Nexus S, Samsung Vibrant, HTC Droid Incredible, Samsung Galaxy SII (i9100) and Samsung Galaxy SII (T989) users also have reported it ... So dont worry

I did not know this... +1 thanks
I have heard that the majority of Razr parts are either refurbished or recycled in some way. I indeed do have these marks on my screen and yes, it is only visible in a dark room. I thought at first I had broken the screen but as it is fine during the day and night I just deal with the nuisance it brings..
Why are we dealing with this ? Did anyone gave it back and got a new one without the screen spots and lines ??

Yea this sucks..
I used to trust Motorola Hardware Engineering, now my faith is shaken.
I think it is fine if you don't have a big line of black splotches. Look at these examples and justify yours if not that bad

Not a problem at all... even Galaxy S III has those black spots.

Hi
My 5 month old galaxy S3 LCD has started leaking pink colour from the top left corner. It is very prominent and permanent now. I have also attached a pic (sorry for the quality of the pic as it is taken from a laptop cam). What can I do to resolve this?
Thanks for your help in advance
Bhavikvc
Well, it's definitely a hardware issue, so take it to Samsung
Have written to them. But can I expect them to solve this problem?
Sure buddy they will repair but not sure about whether you have to pay or they will do it for free.

Hi all,
I have my S5830i galaxy ace with broken screen digitizer.A friend of mine has fully bricked galaxy ace S5830... so I was wondering if I could take his front panel(digitizer+screen) and put it on my S5830i.Are the connectors same ? will it fit onto motherboard of my phone? thank you in advance (I cant take his digitizer because it's glued to metal front panel so I would probably broke it while attempting to lift it.My only option is to take whole panel)

Take it to someone who repairs mobile, he might do it, cause I've seen some people changing displays, even using Chinese display on Samsung mobiles ......
Sometime ago I dropped my SGS3 i9300 and got a bad crack spreading from corner to edges but everything was still working fine only the gorilla glass or digitizer was cracked leaving the Amoled Screen perfectly intact.
Anyway I sent it for repair and when I received it after almost two weeks ,I noticed a dull green-bluish tint on the screen when viewed from an angle, also earlier I could barely see anything in sunlight outdoors (Common for Amoleds) but now I can see clearly even when i keep the screen directly in the sunlight!:silly:
Is it possible that the service center people have changed the original Amoled with a cheap LCD ? It was samsung service center!:crying:
Is it possible for me to know by looking at baseband or build no of rom?
for details about rom and all see the image below
s11(dot)postimg(dot)org/pno7cn91v/Screenshot_2013_05_17_16_24_28.png
anyway
4.1.2
Baseband version
I9300DDELK1
Build no.
JZO54K.I9300XXELLC
If you need more details please tell me
It's entirely possible that you got a different LCD brand. It's not uncommon for Samsung to carry multiple manufacturers for parts. There's a way to tell which LCD you currently have but that won't do you any good now. Samsung won't stick in an inferior LCD to rip you off. If you don't like it just go back and get a replacement.

Well I'm not complaining for the brand but for is it really an Amoled or LCD? Also in dark I used to see black smudges (common in some amoleds) but now they have disappeard ! Does it make any sense
You can't get an LCD ..Samsung did this once on the Galaxy s1 but named it the Galaxy SL. (New device entirely). You bought the phone with Amoled on the box, they can't give you anything else.
It's probably just a new revision improving the sun light and ink spots..
