iDeaUSA CT740K firmware needed - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As the title says, I'm searching for the stock firmware for this device. Please share and let me know if you have.
Really difficult to work with these unsupported devices where I cant risk bricking it. I sent an e-mail (more than a week ago, still no aanswer) to the iDeaUSA support in which I asked for the stock firmware and described the problem too, but I doubt they will send anything.
Thanks

Anyone got a hard bricked device? I'll fix one for free.

Hey guys, I'm looking to bring the ability to flash anything to this device without bricking it. I'm talking about booting a device without bootloaders or with damaged bootloaders. I know it's fully possible, I've got supporting documentation. I believe we can change the boot order fairly easily.
I'm asking for a device. If you have a working one which is hard bricked, then I can modify some hardware binary values until I see an expected result. If you have a bricked device, I can resurrect it and change some binary values. If you have a physically broken device, I can use it to remove the processor and map out these binary values manually. Otherwise, if it's salvagable, I can JTAG it.
I need a device to help out.. If you have a hard-bricked, this is your chance to get it unbricked for free and I get to check the i9100 out for UnBrickable Mod potential. Please post if you're interested.
Hi,
I have a completly bricked Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 that I would be willing to donate to the cause if your still looking for one. Send me a mail with your contact details and you can play with it till you get what you want from it.

Great. Sending PM now.
... no response huh? Ok.
Well, it seems this project is actually impossible. Please unsticky this topic. Further research makes me hesitant to want to try working with this device.

Noob problem after root

Hi guys
Sorry but i am a noob to all this so have proberly stupid questions.
After flashing to a customer rom i went back to a stock t-mobile rom. Problem i now face is when i try to download apps from other companies that are not on the app store eg mfortune they are unable to detect the type of phone i am using so i get "sorry we do not currently support your device" despite being able to do so before rooting and flashing. Is there a way i can change this with the release of skyGo on android this month i want to be able to download it. As it will be only on the galaxy s2 and HTC phones for some time i dont really want to wait.
Any help please???
Did you do a full whipe? Adding some details like model number, the rom you flashed and the one you came from may get you some more useful results.
As for the skyGo app, it won't take more than a day for it to pop up as an APK somewhere on the net.
Hello
Thanks for the reply i am currently in work so i cant look at my phone but will update on which firmware and kernal version i am running
I did however follow this guide to root reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-phones/how-to-root-your-samsung-galaxy-s2-50004972/[/url]
Not sure if that helps i did not however use the guide to flash the secure kernal maybe thats where i have gone wrong.
I will update the thread with the info later.
Thanks again

[Q] What I must know before I flash this Tablet?

Hi everyone,
I have two Chinese tablets ( nonames) with Android ICS that I have already rooted
and I would like to flash a Custom ROM Jelly Bean on it.
I have never flashed a device before.
I dont know even what ROM is compatable to this device.
What I would need to know first before I would ever try to flash it.?
I really do not want to brick it. :crying:
Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
You're going to have to provide more details before anyone can help you.
Going to need to know the manufacturer, tablet specs, model number.
Flashing is different for all tablets so unless you can identify it, there is no way to tell you the proper procedure.

Hi there,
I have the same phone as yours except its TA-1021, I tried to flash an update from the XDA forum link it soft bricked my phone. I had to do a lot of research to unbrick my phone and it worked. Anyways the answer to your question is Nokia is currently working on Android Pie 9.0. However, I noticed that you can register any Nokia phone for Beta testing there new software, however I do not recommend it as it is unstable. However, you can go to this website and get the new security updates for your phone, maybe that might trigger an OTA update for your phone. I haven't tested it, but make sure you do your own research.
AND REMEMBER DO NOT UPDATE ANY OTA UPDATES THROUGH SD CARD, IT WILL SOFT BRICK YOUR PHONE. IF BRICKED SENT ME A MESSAGE ON XDA I WILL GUIDE YOU TO UNBRICK YOUR PHONE.
Thank You

Advice needed - UK Mate 20 Pro flash to non-Vodafone version of Android

Hi everyone,
I've been looking around Google for some way to change the Android version on my Mate 20 Pro from the Vodafone (UK) version that it originally shipped with, to a completely stock Huawei UK version. Mainly to stop the constant want of bloatware app updates that Vodafon want to push to me despite the phone being unlocked and not on Voadfone anymore.
I've followed some directions huaweiadvices(dot)com, and I belive I got the correct firmware download from FirmwareFinder (I can't post links, but will PM them to anyone who can help). None of the methods shown in the above article worked for me, in anyway. I'm either getting a "file not found message" or it just not doing anything at all.
The version I'm on is EMUI 10.0.0.196(C432E7R1P5). I've got a Drive link that I will share that's got screengrabs from the phone with details.
This is the first time I've tried to flash a phone, I'm completely lost and need some help; so if this is on the completly wrong board or has been asked before, I apologise. If anyone can point me in the direction I need to go, or let me know if its even possible, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks
