Does anyone have this working? I am seeing no information about it, and ran into a road block when trying to do it myself. Something about failed to initialize the virtualization engine or something.

My problem is that I can't get VirtualBox to install. It gets 3/4 way through installing, then "rolls back" and tells me there was a fatal error.
The problem as of current is the install of network virtual adapters on non-beta in Virtualbox. As genymotion completes install with the no V.B. install. And I don't blame the folks for waiting for Windows 10 to be final and stable before tackling it. You are beta testing Windows 10, as am I, So there really isn't a proper channel to apeal too. You should never install a beta OS on your main machine, at least not as the main OS, and expect everything to work smoothly. Im afraid to say it, but there is nothing we can do yet, just wait for M$ to straighten their end out, as it worked via build 10056, but M$ broke it after that. I am currently trying to get the beta Virtualbox to install via editing ORCA. I'll update when I have more.
Update
Virtualbox 5.0 beta 4 installs, no problem. However Genymotion refuses to see it installed as it is a beta, so until V.B. is finalized for 5.0, and Windows has been closer to completion, well see more. Whatever I tried in ORCA, I had no success. Ironically when Genymotion broke in Windows 10 build 10056, so did my sound but the most recent build, 10122, brought my sound back and allows VB betas to work but not the stable version.
if you want to try the beta for virtualbox 5.0 Beta 4 resides here :

Hi,
does this mean you installed the beta 4 on TP 10122 *with* the virtual network adapter without rollback?
Yes, however Genymotion doesn't recognize it.

Sorry, but as expected the beta 4 wizard "ended prematurely" as before.
I had to reinstall VB without the virtual network bridge again.
For those interested, w10 build 10130 and genymotion (2.5 just launched today), still issues.

I think this is VirtualBox issue, not Genymotion`s
Virtualbox runs fine on Windows 10 build 10130. However genymotion seems to have problems initializing it. I believe this is a genymotion problem.

Well, i have "virtualization plugin not found" issue. It comes because of virtualbox can`t properly install "Host-only network adapter" driver on win10.
Sorry you are right about that. The problem is Virtualbox and host-only network adapter. I had created a VM in vbox and ran it so I thought it wasn't the problem.
What is really annoying is that it actually does create the adapter. If you go to Device Manger -> Network Adapters -> you will see Virtual box host-only adapters listed there.
So it's really close to working just something fails at the end of the process.
I was able to get genymotion working in Windows 10.
It is failing trying to create the host-only adapter, so you must do it yourself manually, and then it will use that.
- Run virtualbox as administrator
- Go to File -> Preferences -> Network -> Host Only Networks
- Add a new network. IP address 192.168.1.201, mask 255.255.255.0. Go to DHCP server and enable it. IP address 192.168.1.100, mask 255.255.255.0, lower bound 192.168.1.101, upper bound 192.168.1.199
- Save all and exit
- Now run genymotion.
It works!

Hello,
I can not add a new Host Only Networks on my PC. So I modified the existing network with same IP above but I can not run Genymotion.
I also tried to stop, start vboxdrv service (used sc.exe start vboxdrv on cmd) and it still was not success.
I restarted my PC many times and it still was not success too. But I saw that everytimes I run Genymotion, it had new network in Host Only Networks of VirtualBox. I think Genymotion didn't use my network that I configed before.
So I go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings. I saw 2 VirtualBox Ethenet. I disabled once and configed the remain likes network in Host Only Networks of VirtualBox.
I run Genymotion again and it's works. I use Windows 10 Build 10162, Genymotion 2.5.0, VirtualBox-5.0.0_RC2. Please see my picture.
Sorry my English. Hope this help.
Thanks grennis .
@nguyenthanhhai
Your solution sounds awesome but I can't figure out how to do it.
If you could please post a step by step instruction with screenshots (all the way from installing virtualbox). Or just record yourself doing it (screen recording), that would be purely amazing !!!
Thanks so much for your help
The idea is to setup a host-only network the way genymotion likes it whether you do it from vbox (run as administrator!) like I did, or from WIndows network settings like nguyenthanhhai did.. Then it won't try to create a new one. Give the adapter IP address 192.168.1.201, mask 255.255.255.0. Go to DHCP server and enable it. IP address 192.168.1.100, mask 255.255.255.0, lower bound 192.168.1.101, upper bound 192.168.1.199. I also have genymotion running just fine, this does work.
At last
Yep, win 10 build 10162 works fine
At least, Genymotion working on build 10162. Thank you very much grennis and nguyenthanhhai.

Thank you for your help.
Now I could at least start Genymotion player again and my virtual guests too.
But I have nowhere internet access.
How should I configure the Windows VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter, especially DSN-server and gateway?
I cannot use DHCP because of VMWare installed with an own DHCP-server.
I am running VB 5.0 RC3 and Genymotion 2.50.
Thank you.
After i installing the remix os and enable auto time sync, i can't auto sync time on my windows 10. It says syncing error.
i install the beta version of remix os for pc on my computer hard drive. Boot on legacy.
Although i have uninstalled the remix os, windows still can't perform auto time sync.
Does anyone have idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks.
For me time sync works, but windows now sync wrong time zone. After every boot i have to go into clock settings, set wrong time zone and then my time zone again to get the right time.

How to change / edit android GMT to UTC ?
Does anyone know how to change android time GMT to UTC ?.. Windows 10 already using UTC and to put that "realtimeisuniversal" registry fix doesn't work. Already google how to change windows 10 UTC to GMT..seems impossible. On various Linux based OS its possible but on Android (especially Remix OS for PC) seems hard to find. Tried the command "hwclock -w" also doesn't work. Is the kernel clock or whatever buggy or something?..

OK! But, my time zone setting seems to be right at first place. The auto sync didn't work for me. And, if i change the time zone to other time zones, the time is still wrong for that time zone.
Thanks for your reply!
If you dual boot your Windows PC with OS X or Linux, you may have experienced a problem in which your clocks reset themselves incorrectly every time you boot into Windows. Here's a simple registry edit to fix that.
Essentially, the incorrect clock setting happens because OS X and Linux use GMT time while Windows tries to synchronize with your local time zone, getting confused when you reboot between the two.
To fix it, just hit Start and type
Code:
regedit.exe
in the search box. Hit Enter and navigate to
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
. Right click anywhere in the right pane and hit
Code:
New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it RealTimeIsUniversal
then double click on it and give it a value of
Code:
1
Let me know how you go.
Kind of fix...at least for me..
I just tested Phoenix OS (triple booting) Windows 10 x64 & Remix OS.. somehow switching between windows 10 & phoenix os seems no problem with clock setting while when switching from remix os to windows 10 the annoying problem of clock setting is back.
Fully uninstall remix os seems a fix to me . So until remix os became stable..I won't use remix os for the time being..or maybe forever.
Btw Phoenix OS is much the same as Remix OS.. but why Phoenix OS for PC doesn't have official XDA forum ?...

Thanks, I have some question about uninstallation of remix os.
Do you uninstall it just using the uninstaller.exe in the remix os folder? I have done the uninstallation and the auto time sync of my windows still doesn't work.
BTW, after i uninstall it, only data.img file and uninstaller.exe are still in the remix os folder. It is normal right?maybe?
Thanks, anyway!
Yes just use the uninstaller, the Uninstaller filer and the data.img stays in RemixOS folder, you can copy the data.img to somewhere if u want to install RemixOS again and reuse it. Or you just can delete the RemixOS Folder.

What i did to fix time was to go into time/date settings. Windows 10. The PC settings metro style app and changed the sync switch from on to off then back to on for it sync time. Windows 10
Thnkas, i have tried it before, but it still says syncing error. I start yo think it's windows's problem.
Thanks anyway!

Check & start Windows Time service if its turned off (set startup type to automatic) try any time server provided by windows in time & date settings, reset windows firewall or any firewall. Also you can try restart router if using one or try any internet connection you can connect. If all failed, then there only one option..reset for Windows 10, or Format for any previous Windows.
other simple tricks to fix this is to set manual time on windows and on remix os or phoenix os or other android x86 project ( yes you read me, set it manual both on windows and android)

Already setting both of them in manual since this is the only way to at least make the time right. Thanks.
hey, i have a surface pro 3 triple booting windows 10, phoenix os, and kali linux. I have the same issue with the time being off every time I boot into Phoenix OS where it goes berzerk and I have to manually go back and change it. A quick fix that works for me is to click on the clock in the bottom right corner, click on date and time settings, under set time automatically, toggle the slider (off then back on). This sets the time back to normal on windows 10. I followed the registry fix tutorial and added a new value, but I didn't test if it works yet. I exported it to a file and attached it below so you guys can quickly import the change without having to navigate the registry yourself.
EDIT: I tried rebooting my computer into Phoenix OS and back into Windows 10 and the time seems to be consistent. The registry tweak seems to have helped. We need more people to confirm if this works for them or not.

I have this time problem on both my tablet and laptop. After doing the registry tweak. No more time inconsistency in my tablet which is Android/windows 10 duel boot. Unfortunately, the tweak did not work on my laptop on which the Remix OS for PC is installed in USB flash drive and booting from windows boot menu. Time changes every time when switch (reboot) form Remix to windows. Any idea? thanks very much!

Will this retain our data or has to be fresh install?
This is great! The only problem I was having was the WiFi problem with the 3.0.101 (I was using the Ethernet, which worked great) and after upgrading it to the 3.0.102 version, the WiFi is working great. I will mention that I am running it on my HP Mini 110-3135DX from a 16GB USB 2.0 Flash drive and so far everything works pretty good and smooth. Thanks.

Hi,
I require URGENT help.
Originally i had a 64GB e-mmc on my windows tablet, which had a single partition of 57GB named C:\ & Windows 8 came pre-installed on it. Rest 5GB disk was kept as Recovery by OEM.
I updated to Windows 10 last year.
Now, a month back in order to run Remix OS beta, on my laptop.
i used Windows in-built disk management tool, to shrink the C:\ drive, & took 15GB from it & set it as a new partition, & named it E:\ drive.
& disabled Secureboot in BIOS, & then installed the beta Remix OS on the E:\.
As the Remix OS beta, would not load from Windows boot menu from BIOS, i booted Windows 10 & formatted the E:\.
Today, I downloaded the "Remix OS 3.0 for PC", & through it's installation file installed the Remix OS.iso on the (E:\) 15GB partition.
After the setup of remix os (running in windows) was complete, it asked for reboot.
After reboot,
It immediately shows me a screen:
showing: GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2.
& listing RemixOS as the only option to boot.
[Windows 10 was nowhere to be found.
Apparently Windows Boot Manager had be over-written by GNU GRUB.]
Anyways, After selecting the remix os option, it kept loading till, it shows the language setup screen.
Then i'm unable to select the English language (keyboard doesn't work).
I have to force reboot, after clicking power button for 10 seconds.
But again GNU GRUB screen comes, & only shows RemixOS as an option to boot.
I created a bootable usb drive of Partition Magic Free .iso, & tried loading it from the BIOS menu, where it showed me two options:
1. Windows Boot Manager
2. UEFI: USB USB hard drive (# pendrive)
Upon selecting the 2nd option, nothing happened. it showed the same BIOS screen.
I then created the Windows Recovery flash drive, from another Windows tablet, on the same Pen drive (after formatting it).
Now surprisingly, the laptop succesfully booted from the Windows Recovery pendrive.
But the repair tool, did not solve my problem.
So i went into command prompt (which is built-in on the Windows Recovery drive)
went into DISKPART>list disk> selected disk 0> list partition> #selected the E: partition.
gave CLEAN command,
Which apparently cleaned the whole 64GB disk, rather than cleaning the E:\ partition.
So now, i require your HELP, in getting back my important files which were in my C:\
So that after recovering them, to my external drive.
I can load a fresh Windows 10 on this 64GB e-mmc card.
Kindly tell me, which software can i use to recover data from my CLEANED disk ?
Sweeeeeeeet. Wifi is now working. and it has already mounted all my drives :good::laugh:

The problem is bigger than using a standard method unfortunately. Something fundamentally isn't working with a few peoples' installs. We've all tried that method (which is my default go to) but nothing works...
Yup, just tried the 102 version hoping my WiFi will work...still nothing. It seems I don't have the lucky chipset. I have a RTL8192CU.
Oh well...maybe with the next update.

I want to know how to check the version. Because wifi is still not working for me. Ethernet is.
It's showing that the version 3.0.102 has solved the wifi issue. I have a Broadcom wifi adapter. Please help.

I had the same problem. Windows wasn't deleted, it just didn't have a grub2 entry.
To reboot into Windows, I pressed "c" to access the grub2 bash command-line, and then I typed exit, which loaded me into the bios menu for my Nextbook Flexx 10.1 Windows tablet. In the bios menu, I was able to select the Windows EFI Boot Manager, and continue into Windows.
Hopefully, this solution works for you.
When you boot back into Windows, if you are like me and are unfamiliar with editing grub.cfg files to add a Windows entry, grub2win is a fairly simple UI for setting up a grub2 bootloader. And from within the grub2win UI, you can change the EFI Firmware Boot Order.
Sorry, I'm new on RemixOS. Is there any app or settings to get the update via OTA? I enabled the unstable system option, but I can't get any message. Or should I update downloading the zip from Jide?
hello I have a tablet lenovo miix 3 and I wanted to install in hard top. I have already removed Windows. But when I moved over Remix OS , boot the first he said: you need to load the kernel first...
How do ?
how can I update from 2.0.402 to 3.0.102.
I couldn't find any OTA updates in settings.....
I have tried many times with various versions of Remix OS, but I am still not able to get it to install properly on my Windows 10 Intel (Cherry Trail z8700) tablet.
The install process (to the C:} hard drive seems to fun fine (no noticeable problems/errors) during the install process. It also LOOKS like all of the proper files were installed to the hard drive. The problem is that the install process doesn't create a boot entry for RemisOS (in the Windows BCD).
I do have EasyBCD and a couple of other BCD editors. Does anyone know what the BCD entry SHOULD look like for Remix OS? Perhaps I could manually create it?
@mediawiz always add your tablet model please.
Your device has most likely UEFI booting, so using EasyBCD is not going to work for you.
You need EasyUEFI. Install it and show me what boot entries it outputs.
You can also PM me and we can set up Teamviewer to solve this quick

So basically I did the dual boot thing where I had to partition my hard drive and install Remix OS in there, just that stuff. So after restarting my laptop, the dual boot screen came up, I was given the option of Windows 10 or Remix OS so I clicked Remix OS. After that it loaded up everything was working, I signed into my gmail account and all that good stuff. Basically, everything was working as it should. So then something came up in real life and I shut my laptop. I come back and hour later and open my laptop and I'm greeted to the regular Windows 10 user login screen, but I just guessed that Remix OS used the same lock screen. However when I logged in, my regular windows home screen came up. Now it's just like Remix OS has disappeared from my laptop even though it's installed. I have tried to fix it for 2 days now and can't find any fixes. So here are my questions: 1. How come when I opened my laptop was I back on Windows 10 and where did Remix OS go? 2. How can I fix this?
Anyway, if there's any information you need to help me out, just ask and I will answer you.
Thanks!
Possibly an issue with the way you shut it down ? Do a reinstall which will also prompt you to uninstall the previous version 1st. Should not be a major issue. My dual boot shows up every time.
I reinstalled mine probably 3-4 times to see how it worked on external HDD and the main computer.
My only issue is tethering. Doesn't connect when I'm in RemixOS. That's my only internet access for about 3 years now.
By the way, I did not install it on a separate partition. Try to install as a computer app on the same partition as your windows. It will create all the files needed and also delete all of them when you uninstall. Just make sure you put the .iso file somewhere you can get to easy. I extracted mine into the download folder where the zip was also. Seems to work just fine.
