[HELP] GPS location seems to be in use all the time - Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

Someone help me, please!
My phone is an E2363 and my status bar shows location is in use all the time. When I first boot the system, the status bar doesn't show location in use. Then I open Google Maps, press home button and the location icon still appears in status bar and it never goes away.
I found out other phones face the same issue. Does someone have the same situation?

[Q] Mystery Icon in notification bar

I've turned off all of the location services in settings, but my notification bar still has an icon that looks like the GPS is still on. It's a circle with a cross in it and arrows at the cardinal directions. I've even turned GPS off using the power control widget, but it's still there. Anyone know what this and how to get rid of it?

That is the GPS icon and unless you are unlocked you cannot get rid of it (that I know of).

[Q] Navigation bar goes missing with GAPPS

Hello everybody,
I've just recently dived into the land of rooting and decided to run CM 10.1 on my samsung GT-P7510. It runs just fine on it's own. I haven't had any problems with CM, but as soon as I install GAPPS my navigation bar with the back button, home button, and recently used button disappears. I tried searching around in settings for a way to edit the navigation bar. I found a section for it and it had a lock button at the top right. It said it was locked and the screen explained how I could customize the navigation bar. When the little lock was locked my navigation bar was not visible, but as soon as I would unlock it I could see the navigation bar and edit it. Unfortunately it couldn't stay unlocked so as soon as I changed the screen it would go away again. I also read something about expanded desktop sometimes blocking the navigation bar so I played around with that setting and it didn't do anything either.
I'm running this version of CM: cm-10.1-20131208-NIGHTLY-p4wifi
I have this version of GAPPS: gapps-jb-20130812-signed
I'm really unfamiliar with tablets in general, but it seems like the only way I can navigate my tablet is with that navigation bar.
I would really appreciate some help.
hello OP, dont know if you found the answer but its quite simple. Just restart the tablet and follow (until the end) the initial setup questions.
after that, the nav bar will show up.

Custom status bar indicator?

Hi,
I don't really like the way Android (in fact CM13.0) handles the mobile data in the status bar. If I have both WLAN and LTE enabled, I have absolutely no notification that the mobile data is enabled. Then, if I lose the WLAN connection, the mobile data will be automatically used. I have a small network plan so I'd like to avoid it.
The solution would be a status bar icon showing up whenever cellular data is on, whether or not the real connection is WLAN or cellular, on the right side of the status bar, just as all the system icons.
First of all: has anyone already written something like that?
If not: I'd like to create such an application. I know that the right side of the status bar is reserved for system apps. Does it mean that if I install the app, spawning the status bar icon, as a system app, it'll automatically be shown on the right side of the screen?
Besides, is it possible to create a status bar icon without a notification in the notification list? Maybe Xposed would help?
Thanks for answering newbie questions

Htuawei Mate 10 Pro - Full Scereen doesn't work

Hello, I have a problem with my BLA-L29 (BLA-L29 8.0.0127 (C432). After startig an app I press the button with the blue text about displaing in full screen mode, then another screen appears wit information about restarting the app anf when I press "ok" nothing happens. The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen is still visible and I can't turn it off. Please help.
Hi ya. You need to set your navigation bar to hide. It will give you an arrow on the left you can press to hide the navigation bar, it will be in full screen but it doesn't hide the navigation bar unless you tell it too. It's under setting, smart assistance, system navigation.

Thank You I've thought that in the full screen mode the navigation bar shoul dissapeat "by itself" without pressing any keys
I'd prefer it, if the bar disappeared of its own accord until you needed and you could pull it up. But you need to use the settings I've shown and the use the triangle shape at the edge. You never know it may change in the future. :good:

Notification bar disappeared

Hi to everyone.
This morning, out of the blue, the notification bar of my Mate 20 pro simply disappeared.
I'm referring to the top bar where you can see phone signal, battery charge and time.
When i open any apps, the bar appears again but when i'm in the home of the phone, it doesn't show up anymore.
Anyone can help me to bring it back?
Thanks!
Hello to everyone.
Problem solved.
It was due to my customized launcher which, for some reason, changed the settings by itself and removed the bar.
All I had to do was to change that setting to the old mode and everything returned to normality.
