Hi guys, I need your help has any here encountered an "Unzip error" during wireless update? I just bought my P9000 and then I tried doing an update via the "Wireless Update" built-in appp. After downloading and selecting "Install Now" an error occurred saying"Unzip error". I have tried restarting, factory reset and even enabling all permission for Wireless Update but I still get the "Unzip error".
The update is for Elephone_P9000_20160401
This is the screenshot of the error:

You want the 19/04/2016 update. If you are on 01/04 then go back to an earlier release and update to the 19/04 update...
Hi guys! I have found a solution in the "Unzip error" problem. As soon as the wireless update app starts to download the update you should not put the app in the background and leave it in the notification area, the app should be left active until the download completes, to be sure try to set the sleep to 30 minutes so that the device and the app will stay active and also try not to open any other app that would put the wireless update app into the background. I noticed from numerous download attempts, the download seem to restart or gets interrupted when the app is put into the background or the device goes to sleep while downloading thus causing a corrupted download.

I have a Galaxy Nexus (not rooted), and just recently, I've ran into an issue with updating apps through Amazon's App Store. It's strange, because up to now, I never had this issue with their app store. Anyway, whenever I try to update any of my apps that need updates, the installs fail. The apps don't update, and they're still listed in the "Update" section of the store. I've tried over and over to install them, and they always say the install failed.
Someone suggested going into the settings and clearing the cache/ data for the Amazon App Store app, and I gave this a try, but the problem still occurs. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone know of a fix?

Not sure if this is the same thing you're seeing, but it's worth a shot.
When the appstore tries to download an app and fails partway through, it just leaves the partial file in a temp directory. I think it's in /data. I wish I remember what directory exactly. I only found it by accident when I noticed that my phone was 100% full after trying to install a large app a few times.
So look for some really large temp files that don't belong and try erasing them
The JB OTA downloaded, I deleted it, and it downloaded again. Tried FOTAKILL and that didn't work. I don't want to install update, is there any way to stop the update prompt from popping up?
freeze the FOTA and update services with chefs freezer, dont delete it, you might need them later... there is a list for the safe apps to freeze in android development section.
Are u talking about this:

What if I want to install it? I tried doing it yesterday but this is what it ended up as:
I quickly hard-reebooted it and then I had constant reboots and boot loops.
What should I do? I had flashed the JB "official" leak...

Yep, that's the prompt. Freezing FOTA and Updates with Root Tools seems to have worked, now when I go to settings and look for updates it starts to check for updates then stops. We'll see if the prompt shows up in 12hrs, fingers crossed.
.
No problem dude

Oh cool...wondering what happens if we install the update.
When I connect my S9+ to my laptop and launch Smart Switch, it says that there is an update available for my device. However, when I click on the 'Update' button, it just downloads some stuff and the program freezes. I can close it only using the task manager. The phone isn't showing any signs that it's updating and I can use it normally while it's connected to my laptop. Did anyone experience the same thing? How do I solve this? Thanks!

Just wait and let it do its thing. I had to wait about 5 minutes before it went to the next step.
Once you start the update process don't interrupt it or it could brick the phone.
I tried it on another laptop and this time the phone even booted in download mode, but then nothing happened. I received an error message from Smart Switch saying that the phone wasn't properly booted in download mode or something like that. I gave up from Smart Switch and I'm downloading the firmware from sammobile, so I can flash it using Odin. Thanks for the reply tough!
Can anyone help here....
I got my replacement device today from Vodafone and was prompted with the carrier update and its stuck on 100%!!
Restart does nothing, tried removing the sim and no joy, can't get any further! [emoji848]
I've just wiped the devices cache and that didn't work.
I'd rather not to a reset as it's took ages to restore everything, but it's looking like my only option at the moment.

Hard reset was only fix for me on EE.
Hi,
I know that I offered this solution to you already and it worked, but I wanted to offer it here incase anyone searched in the future.
There is a software update application in settings > applications (make sure you use settings to show all system apps) and then delete app data for the software update application.

I was going to copy your fix over to here for future help.
Hi all,
I tried installing PrimeOS using the windows installer which gave me an error with something like:
~disk service raised an external error
Then I tried to install it using a bootable USB, but at the partition selection my usb keyboard stops working/ responding.
So then I tried to launch the live usb to see if the image was faulty. This gave me some errors to, you can see the errors in the picture.
It then boots the PrimeOS logo and after that is shuts off. So I am completely lost because I do not own an PS/2 keyboard. Atleast I think that is what is holding me back from installing it.
error when trying to run PrimeOS live:

I managed to get a keyboard and it runs smootly except I am not getting any audio. I downloaded alsamixer apk from a random website but it does not show anything and when I try to click on settings it closes the app.
Also I tried to put apps on my homescreen like Fx but after that my desktop freezed and I was unable to switch from "pages" to see my apps until I closed all apps.
Please help me out here. I am absolutely nothing when it comes to code at this moment. sadly...
Thank you in advance
Regards,
BrotherHarm
