V10 Marshmallow upgrade fail - endless loop - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I see that there are some people that are successful, I want to warn some people though...
Do note, My phone has encryption enabled.
I just finished updating the LG V10 (Dual SIM) to the latest marshmallow, what has caused the phone to stop booting up properly! As I have encryption enabled, Now every time it boots up, it gets to the code screen, pops up a window "A new SIM has been detected, would you like to configure it now?", and there is only an OK button, the "back" button does not work, so I can only press on OK, which reboots the device, and brings me back to the same screen...
I have removed one sim - problem still consists, switched places for the sim cards - problem still consists.
Started the phone without the SIM cards, boot it up, optimized the apps, tried to insert the sim card again, but ALAS! it still doesn't work.
So now I have a phone that works, but cannot function with a SIM card....
FYI, I am on SW Ver. V20a-SEA-XX

problem with 3G and the SIM

For a while, i mean since i reinstalled the android 4.0.4, my huawei mediapad stopped recognizing the SIM card. (for example,if i insert the simcard while the tablet is on, the window "Sim card state has been changed, restarting in 9 8 7..." appears, but after the restart, it boots normally, as there was no sim. (i mean, it just starts, without requesting the PIN or anything else, and runs absolutely normal, as it was with no sim)
What should i do in order to make the SIM (3G) work?

[Q] No usim card

I just got this phone brand new a couple of days ago(P769 model). Everything seems to be working fine, except that sometimes when I try to send a text over wifi calling, I get an error message that says "No usim card". So far resetting the phone each time I get the message has fixed the problem and allowed me to text, but it seems like the type of thing that will only get worse and more frequent as time goes by on top of it being mildly annoying having to reset my phone every time this happens. Any ideas on how to fix? I tried swapping out my old sim card for a new one, but that didn't help.
Never heard about such error. USIM is simpy a SIM card supporting UMTS with no software emulation. Try emergency firmware recovery from LG PC Suite. It will wipe all your data so make a backup if needed.

Do I need to download a specific version of LG PC Suite for the 769. I couldn't find a link to it on LG's website. I tried downloading the version they had linked to the 765, but my phone would never connect with it. It would say it was connecting for about 30 seconds, and then it would say it failed.
You can use this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344&highlight=lgmobile+support+tool
Or just download LGMobile Support Tool (p. 3 in above post), install msxml.msi than B2CAppSetup.exe, run it and connect the phone, upgrade recovery from options. I was recovering my phone this way after failed rooting of the device. BTW PC Suite should work with all p76x.

[Z7 Mini] No service/emergency calls only after flashing custom 6.0.1. rom

So, I've had a lot of problems with my phone lately, including a semi-brick for a while. After all this mess, I had to do re-partition, fix WiFi and stuff like that.
Recently, my only problem was no service after inserting SIM card in CM12 (basic stock ROM using Nubia Tools, repartition using official 2.03 ROM from NeedRom & finally CM12 for Nubia Z7 Mini from NeedRom). SIM card was fine but there was no service, I've tried re-inserting it, I've tried different SIM cards etc.
The issue went like this: phone crashed and "turned off" after inserting SIM card. It wasn't really off - Windows was detecting it as several storage disks (?), and it was heating up after a while. Long press of a Power Button made it reboot to system and it was running fine, but only without SIM card. SIM card made it freeze, heat up and the issue was happening all over again.
Currently, I've tried to fix that by flashing latest Resurrection Remix. Now, phone is stuck at "emergency calls only" - it tries to find service but without any luck. I've read that it might be an issue with bootloader - that there is some script that is trying to run, making it unable for the SIM card to grab service. The phone is really heating up with SIM card in it, but it definitely detects it and it tries to find service without any luck.
Maybe flashing only modem would do? But I can't find it anywhere.
What can I do to fix it? IMEI numbers are fine, on their right place.

Restart loop when certain sim card installed

Hi. Having a problem... Phone tries to restart after maybe 1 min. Usage ... But only with sim card installed from certain operator. Other sim doesnt create this issue.
Android 6.0.1. Tried flashing cache. Safe mode. And more. If this sim is in the phone it tries to restart ... But infact fails. Just freezes with lg logo.
Any ideas? Known issue? Or should i simply get a new sim card from the operator?

Cant press any key on screen, its like no response?

I have the poco x3 pro, I did have the infinite boot loop issue, but by pressing the power button 10 to 12 times quick this got fixed, however I now find myself stuck on the enter pin screen for my sim card. I try to enter the pin, but nothing comes up on the screen.
anyone got any ideas of how to fix this ?

Put the sim card into another phone, type in your PIN, remove the PIN from the sim card, put it back into your phone and it will boot straight into Android

I Did that, seemed to work, but then locked up again. I Think it only happens When sim cards are inserted

Can you try someone else's sim card in your phone? Maybe your sim card has a problem and needs replacing.
Also, maybe it's ROM related. Try finding out whether people running the same ROM have similar problems
I Cant even get the phone to boot properly with or without sim. It just freezes after booting. I fear its now had it.
