One of the things that is a little annoying about the way these units handle phone calls is the progress/call button pop-up bar that comes up when a call is in progress - I hate that it's locked in place and prevents you from accessing the screen while on a call - really annoying when I've got navigation running and I can't see all the info -
I got the newest stock firmware for my Eonon 4.4.4 Rk3188 quad core unit from the vendor and it has an updated call pop up that has a button that lets you minimize the popup during a call so you can use the screen - really cool - I posted this on the Malaysk thread, but I figured this might be more appropriate - is it possible to extract just that feature from the firmware and create an APK or some other way of modifying the Malaysk or any other ROM? It's way above my pay grade, but if it is possible it would be useful i think - here's the link to the firmware:

This is the full stock firmware, not just the phone pop up - trying to see if someone is able to take just the phone control portion and create an APK or some other way of replacing the one that Malaysk is using -

These are very nice, but with the pop up on the stock firmware, you minimize the whole bar and bring it back up - no need to make it transparent - I wish I had the brains to extract it! When I use navigation, all the info is at the bottom of the screen, so I can't see anything

I have a new ROM ready! It's another lite ROM, and is best suited for people who want to customize their apps and UI. The only Samsung applications that are left on here are the photo viewer and video editor. The former is there because I haven't found a way to remove it without completely breaking the photo plugin for Titanium and the latter is there because it didn't make sense to remove it when the camera is one of the i920's stellar features.
The pagepool has been increased from 20MB to 24MB. While this does reduce the available RAM by about 4MB, it should also speed things up a bit. I have also cooked in a few things to either improve on performance or to address issues with the phone: Chainfire's openGL drivers, Advanced Configuration Tool, Smart Lock, Orientation Detection, and the newest version of Microsoft My Phone.
Perhaps the best thing, however, is that I've resolved the dependency on SPlugins_480x800.cpr! It and the related files have been removed from my ROM, so that Titanium only uses Titanium_480x800.cpr, like every other WVGA device. This means that any Titanium plugins or themes will work without the need for any sort of modification.
The ROM is available here and photos are below:

I have to thank Wozzer for geting a working kitchen, and for using me as a test mule to get that working kitchen. I also need to thank Radioman - I had double-checked my removed files against his list, and I think he saved me from borking a few things.
EDIT: I found a major bug affecting ring tones - I've updated a corrected version

Your going to need to find a theme that supports that option. I would look for something by "tacchan23". You may want to check here http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizon-sch-i920-omnia-ii-http-i8000-modaco-com/298482/theme-wm-6-5-x-allres-tacchan23black-theme/
Hi S5 owners,
With this app you can:
- Browser for the stock firmware available online for your phone, in the easy-to-use way
- Change your CSC (if your firmware support multi-CSC)
- Do a Refurbishment Check, to see if your phone is original one
- See the 'Device usage history' (Headset connect and Charger connect counters)
- ... and a lot of useful stuff under the menu

v1.8.2:
- Add new menu 'IMEI Backup ★Samsung★' to introduce a new paid app.
- Minor bug fixes.
v1.8.5:
- Remove 'Donate' and 'Remove Ads' menu items
- Add menu 'Phone INFO Plus'
Did you know that the Usage Counters (Charger connect, Headset connect) will not be affected by Factory Reset the phone.
v1.8.6: UI improvements.

Hi,
Technically these counters can be reset. But I personally don't want to intervene in the system data.
This should be considered carefully...

I have a funny problem that even me myself i cant understand i wonder if you guys can help. My screen broke and it was fixed however since then images appear fine but text appear pixelated no matter the font i use. However the funny part is that this happens on stock Rom. On Android M AOSP Roms the text and images appear just fine.
What could be the problem and how can i fix it?
Does the pixelation appear in screenshots?
If so, please post screenshots.

You most probably got a replacement part that is not genuine sony part. Dysplay driver and firmware dont match with this new display so its acting up. You should find a way to flash a different display firmware, but I'm not sure how to dobthis for sony handsets.

Difinitely a driver issue, your display is misaligned. It needs to be aligned correctly like older LCD monitors that had a menu for this. Try flashing a couple of ftfs, older kitkat and then 5.0 and then 5.1 to see if one of them has the correct firmware for your pannel.
Galaxy mega had this issue where if you placed a non genuine panel it would look misaligned after android 4.4 update but worked fine with 4.3 I helieve

Si it looks like your dispaly firmware is incompatible with lollipop drivers. Try flashing KK again and then flash only system and boot parts of the lollipop ftf and see if it'll boot. You can also try dufferwnt custom lollipop kernel but I doubt this will work.
I went way back to 4.4.3 seems to be fixed but not perfectly but guess I can work with that for now ....thanks a bunch if you have any other ideas lemmie know.

You can update manually, if you wish, by downloading the firmware from the asus support website and leaving the zip file on the root of the phone. A popup will appear upon reboot asking if you want to update.
I am on the latest and see no difference, unfortunately.

No, OTA functionality is intact, until you unlock the bootloader
I got the OTA of this update overnight
The the processing feels faster IMO but no quality change. I was also getting my screen stuck at 60hz after unlucking and the update seems to fixed it. Which is nice
No real improvement. I'm waiting for a fix when shooting raw - it takes 1 sec to take a picture after pressing the shutter.
I don't see any change in picture quality, sadly.

Thanks for that, This toggle switch wasn't there, for me. BUT , it did make me think , why , then I realised it was probably because I changed CSC for call recording. Switched back CSC , and the toggle button appeared , yeah!.
So , hopefully someone finds this useful. When they hit the same problemo
GUess ill leave call recording alone for now.

The option had to be there always. Now you find it, you can try, either, by switching off now, and probably you can use same CSC, you use before, toggle won´t change the status, or search for a compatible CSC, this information is often in the recovery screen.

To safely change a CSC, it is better to make format data, or flash the custom firmware that works with, so any feature is missed.
Emergency SOS is present since Android 12 regardless the CSC/SKAA/region and/or provisioner.
If you have a muti CSC-enabled device then you can use any without any issues, if not, then have to follow the first.
