Just noticed that the clear lens cover to the rear camera on my tf201 is missing
I have put a piece of tape over it so dust does not get in there but has anyone heard of this before.
Does anyone know what ASUS will do about this.
Would I have to send it in just to get a new lens, can they send me one as it would be an easy fix
I will contact them just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this with this or any other tablet.
Thank You
Mine has just been sent in for the green camera problem and a few others. My lens cover was dented.. I'll let you know whether they replace it or not.
Got it back, the lens was not replaced. And camera quality seems to be far worse than before. Everything is quite blurry, and it seems that dust is on the lens.
hi there!
im new here, and REALLY apperciate your help
my galaxy camera takes really bad quallity pics... i compared it to another galaxy 2 device and here are the results:
i've attached the images to this post, although the site zipped them but still the diffrence is very disnictive.
my device is updated to the latest android version and the lens isnt cover with dirt or anything,
also it wasnt allways like that- but im not sure when the problem started.
the problem is much much worse when i cativate the flash. its like the phone forgot how to calculate and spread the light...
thanks for your help!!
Are you sure there isn't any dust inside the camera cover glass? Cause I had a similar problem and it was due to the dust entering from head phone Jack to my camera space.

hi! i only checked the outside of the lens...how can i check the inside cover? do i have to take apart the phone?
thanks
No no. Just look through the outer cover. Do you see the lens to be clean or does some dust blur your lens of the camera.

well, agian its hard to tell but it does looks like mine is less clean.
what should i do?
You gotta open it and clean it yourself or go to a service centre. I prefer service centre though. Cause this isn't a software problem. That's how it was for me. I guess it's the same for you.
Is it fine that the front camera on the s6 edge is not center? Mine is towards the top right corner. Doesn't effect quality. Is yours centered?
It's not exactly centered but it doesn't effect picture. Should I be worried
Mine is also off center. I haven't noticed an issue with pictures.

You're talking about the front facing camera not the back correct?

My current device is relatively centered. If I stare at it long enough it appears to be off center, but if I put it down and pick it up, it looks fine at a glance.
My original device's was clearly off-center, and it actually almost had part of the lens under the "skin" near the front snapper. I actually noticed the off-center camera before I noticed the flaws in the screen. If it had been further off, it would have definitely warranted a return.
So long as no part of the lens is covered, you're golden. These things go through their final paces by-hand and people don't necessarily have the coordination to perfectly position things like machines do. Whoever placed the Samsung-logoed layer on your device just didn't quite align it perfectly. It should be fine.
Do you have the white version?
My rear camera isn't centered. I have the 64gb Black Edge on Verizon.
I'm OCD and it bothers the hell out of me, but I didn't notice until after my 14 day return period and would have to warranty it out if I wanted a new one... Haven't noticed anything wrong with pictures or video, so I'm fine with it for now I suppose. To be honest, the only thing I'm worried about is the Optical Image Stabilizer and it going beyond the black area covering up the lens if it moves a lot.

Did you remove the film from the rear snapper? It might not actually be off-center at all if you're comparing it to the positioning of the protector around the lens.

Yup, removed both protectors over the cam and flash. It's off centered in respect to the black ring around the lens.

Aww man. That's unfortunate. Well generally speaking it should be fine so long as the actual opening for the lens isn't covered in any way. It's not going to move anymore unless it wasn't sealed in properly, so it should be fine other than being one of those "annoying because you know it's there" things.

As long as output OK, I don't think center or not is not an issue.
Hi, I own my x822 for almost a year now, and just recently noticed a black spot when trying to take a picture with the rear camera.
When I look closely at the lens I can see inside a tiny piece of dust or something like that. Is there any way of easily opening the rear camera cover easily? Or I need to take it to a close phone shop for them to fix it?
Thanks.
I cracked my camera's glass when I dropped the phone and now it doesn't take good pictures anymore, even with the glass completely removed. They come out blurry and can't seem to focus properly.
The front facing shooter works fine
what happened?

It might've been damaged. Even a small dot on the lens can do a lot of harm to the imags.
