Battery dimensions - LG G5 Questions & Answers

I've searched everywhere for this, but I can't find the physical size of the battery in mm. Can someone measure the size and let me know, or point me to where it's stated online? It's the length I'm most interested in.
Thanks in advance!

9.85cm (10.3cm with the hooks) X 4.6cm X ~0.5cm .

Thanks again!

Atom: Screen Type/Model

Hi gurus!
I need to replace the display on my Atom because of that "whistling" problem that lots of users are experiencing (too expensive to send the device to HK from Moscow, and the chances to get it back with a good screen are not 100%), but the guys here told me they couldn't find any info on which type/model/make of the screen is installed on Atoms. Can anyone help?
Hi,
Atom display is: NEC NL2432HC17-01B
Dear Dmitry N, i'm very interested in this! I'm from Greece, and i can't send it to the Hong Kong. I have the problem with the screen which you can see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=51900
Please, if you find any solution post it.
I'm looking forward to hear from you,
Bill

I almost forgot that I posted this question here
Thanks for your help. BUT! Are you absolutely sure in this? If yes, I will be buying a new screen next week.
Thanks again in advance.
Where to purchase?
Where can you purchase the screen? I found the nec-lcd webpage but didn't see where I could purchase one. How much do they cost?

You just do some googling for a local supplier of electronic parts / components. I'm sure you will find one. In Moscow, I was able to find at least 7 suppliers of this stuff.
Can you believe that MY WHISTLING IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's damn GONE!!! I don't know why it decided to go - I never asked it for that... But thanks to something/someone anyway

Contact Picture Dimensions

Anyone know what the contact picture dimensions are? i.e. 200x200px sort of thing? Tried searching, but get a lot of results that have no bearing on the situation...
Cheers
Darren

User manual?

I have searched the forums and have not found any info on if there is a user manual obainable on line or where one might find this user manual if it exists. I have about 10 days left in buyers remorse period and want to give this device every chance to be a keeper in my eyes(I am sure that the overwhelming majority think so already) Any and all help and info is greatly appreciated.

[Q] Screen Replacement

Hello All Xda's. For quite some time already I have many questions about how to replace LCD screen for the Xperia Z Ultra..
Had an accident and the screen broke.
Have found many videos and tutorials how to do this, but there are no 1 correct way! So i would like to ask XDA users which steps to take better?
Tutorials i think are normal:
* Tutorial to link
Youtube video feature doesn't work here..
And the most important question would be: Where would be the best prices for Europeans? I live in Riga, Latvia. (That's near Germany, Russia, Sweden).
And where you bought, if you had made this replacement
And one more thing: What would be the appropriate tools for this job and where to get them better?
Best prices:
* https://www.gounlock.com/details.php?itemId=10165
* http://shop.brando.com/Sony-Xperia-Z-Ultra-Replacement-LCD-Display_p10029c0308d059.html
* http://siansmobiles.co.uk/sony-xper...er-touch-original-genuine-complete-black.html
* Ebay
P.s. If you have bad comments, please sit this one out. THANK YOU!
Sorry to make your decision more complex, the Z Ultra used lcd panels from two different sources. Opinions differ on which one is better, if you like the one you have you may want to replace with same. It was discussed here, along with links to other posts regarding same.

Thanks for mentioning this, but can't find about it anywhere. The precise models, price differences e.t.c.
I checked that thread and the guy that told there is 2 different LCD displays, didn't mention any facts.
And couldn't find information about the second display. I don't really how to know what exactly is my screen parameters or model without disassembling!
Is there a way to know it when my screen is broken?
My screen was pretty normal on brightness and contrast. Had no problem with that. In fact it was very bright at times (Day time).
adfurgeson did you do this replacement? How can this youtube link be corrected. Want to put video of tutorial here, but simple link doesn't satisfy me..

I haven't had to replace one yet. Post number 15 from the thread I linked to has more links, here is a link to post from one of those threads that show commands to get lcd info.

[Mod] Radio High frequencies filter FIX KGL4 (board fix)

Hi guys.
I successfully fix radio high frequencies using some hardware mods.
Why I need these mod?
Radio quality is bad even if you use darkleo MCU mod. You can't hear frequencies more than 442hz because of hardware limitation (Chinese wrong calculations maybe). Doing this mod You can hear clear and great quality sound (up to 25,6khz, full range for analog FM radio )
How to do the mod?
You have to discover sound filter that comes from radio tuner (TDA or whatever). See pictures for KGL4 that filter was split into 2 parts (different than any other tutorial).
Special Thanks to Russian guys that first do this mod and release tutorial (although slightly different than mine's) and vaonline for his tutorial for KYD (http://home.scarlet.be/~spb27160/witson/Witson.html). All head units has the same/similar hardware.
What You need to buy.
1) 2 1nf 0603 (1608 metric) SMD Ceramic Chip Capacitors (you can find a lot on ebay or whatever). See pictures.
2) Pen style soldering iron (see pictures)
3) of course soldering paste.
See wiring diagram and PCB pictures that shows filter line and what to change.
You will notice extreme difference in sound (I still can't believe the difference) .
I also Upload old russian's tutorial in rtf format (google translated)
Pictures from PDA forum for some devices

GOOD LUCK FOR TESTER.
If someone need help for any PCB dont hesitate to post, I will try to help.
If someone want to donate me a cup of coffee he can do it :laugh:

It should, although boards are different and need some investigation to find the right parts, as capacitor numbers may be different.
If you can take clear hd board photos from top and from bottom I can try to help.

Russian guys also change the whole circuit for some devices.
For example for KGL they changes also resistors and .....
AI only change the 2 capacitor and I get lost high frequencies. Bass its was ok from the beginning.
So if you have great soldering skill you can follow russian guys.
Thanks for pda link, some may find it usefull.
I make the mod on my KGL.
The sound is really better.
Before I was not able to capture some stations, now this is ok.
I posted 2 photos because the location of capacitor C212 and C213 is different for my KGL .
Joying new board

Change the red ones.
Thanks. I thought so, after studying your mod and the russian text. Will do once i get the 1 nano caps. I have 2.2nano and they are slightly bigger. Do you think size bigger caps will fit on the board in same place

Mmmm parts are small enough and no more space. So use the recommented one as frequencies are case sensitive
Will be using a hot air soldering gun. Will post pics when Im done. Have to wait for 1nf to come by post coz I couldnt source correct size (only 0805) locally. This will be my first try on smd caps, I have been practising on a bad harddrive, desoldering and soldering back caps and resistors.

caps changed yesterday. Original caps where 35nf. Changed them with 1nf. Radio sound is as good as it gets.

Great enjoy radio as it should be from the beginning.
I just did the same mod has @gordonscicluna and I have 2 questions:
1. I used 2.2nF caps, is this a big deal seems like it is much close to the 1nF that was used (I had ordered 2.2 since the Russian tutorial had mentioned 2-4nf), I assume if the original ones were 35nF or so the 2.2 should be much better but maybe not as perfect as 1nF?
2. What are the additional resistor changes for? The link for the JY images on the Russian website showed to change those as well, but when I opened up my JY unit it didn't look the same, so I only changed the caps (since @hadjistyllis had pointed out which ones to change on the JY board that I have).
According to hadjystillis's calculations 2.2nf will not liberate all the high frequencies.. You will miss the 15khz band. Using 1nf you will open all spectrum by far.

Change capacitors to have an higher cutoff frequency, and change resistors to modify the pass-band original gain.

Thank you, do you think it is really needed to change the resistors too? I have done the audio mod if that makes any difference

I dont think you need to change resistors. Changing only caps gives sound same as mp3
